Indeed, their record in the Champions League is very good, but for the last season they really did not show that they were once the rulers of Europe. And if we look at their opponents, they are actually still on the same level, except for Liverpool.
This season for sure they want the best results and try to return the title they used to get.
Yes, Milan must set a new record in the Champions League, last season Milan became a barn of points for other teams in the group phase. Actually the quality of Milan is still balanced with Atletico, slightly above the level of Porto, but due to lack of consistency, Milan had to settle for being eliminated in the Champions League. Winning the Scudetto became the starting point for Milan to set higher targets in the UCL, AC Milan must rebuild their success in the UCL. Milan will occupy Pot 1 in the Champions League draw, being in pot 1 makes AC Milan avoid the chance of being in a group with other European giants such as Bayern Munich, PSG, Real Madrid and Man City.

~Snip~we saw AC Milan actually played not too bad in Champions League....
AC Milan is an Italian club that has the most Champions League titles (7 times), the Rossoneri has missed the Champions League in recent years. After returning to the UCL, Milan is still experiencing difficulties, the performance is shown by its players in the UCL is still far from expectations.

When returning to the Champions League, AC Milan had to swallow defeat after defeat in the group stage which left him at the bottom of the Grub B standings. As a club that has wond 7 Champions League titles, of course it is very embarrassing to see AC Milan's journey in the 2021/2022 Champions League stage.

Successfully winning the Italian League gave AC Milan an advantage, because the Rossoneri were placed in the seeded pot in the Champions League draw.

It has been long we saw Milan participating in the championship league, the have a great record when it comes to their domestic league and not really good in the championship league, but thanks to their efforts being champions of their domestic league and with hope and with the help of new singings the club would improve.

They surely need those wins to really improve their team, and right now there are many clubs that letting go of their best strikers or players or some players really doesn't want to stick around anymore, I think they should look for those clubs just to ensure they can get their hand on the decent ones, right now Erling Haaland on Dortmund have gone to Manchester City, and Robert Lewandowski is said to want to go to Barcelona but they can not afford Lewandowski's already lowered price, I think is AC Milan can strike a better request to Lewandowski they might have a shot to the Polish Striker,

It's difficult to get top players for Milan, because top players will quickly get better offers out there. Because usually Serie A teams will get good players but at the age of approaching retirement, if Giroud can still stay it's not a problem either. But after all, recruiting young players to regenerate the team is the main thing to pay attention to. In competition, of course it will never be easy and what's more, next season's Champions League must be an important match for Milan who are the winners of the Serie A title. After all, I am looking forward to Divock Origi's performance in Milan, hope Origi can really contribute as intended expected at least if the performance was good then this would be a proper recruit.
When you are not financially doing well, it is easy to lose players, but that is how you should be looking at becoming better, find players that are underpaid by you. If a player "could" get 10 million offer from another team, but plays for you for 3 million, that is the player that you want.

I know there aren't that many, but unknown names could definitely be there, finding youth players from all around the world, or finding players like Hernandez which is a great player but wasn't a globally known name, all of these are great for an Italian team to win the title. I believe they could repeat this because they have been doing exactly that for many years now.

They can always set their eyes on cheap but might have a potential or can still grow over time, I think if a club isn't financially capable of taking a decent player they can always put their money on the cheap player that can grow and hope that they turn to be a superstar someday, or if they can grow on your club, and a club will surely need to guide them,

And if AC Milan can really train a player in a good way, I think they can surely become champion again next season, if they can do the same again,

It is absolutely difficult for Milan to keep this success going with the current lineup I believe. I don't mean only the Serie A of course, I mean the Champions League as well. I see that many people have already mentioned this and it is the truth in the end. Milan should be focusing on improving their attacking line in the approaching transfer window. Giroud and Zlatan are both very good strikers indeed but their ages are quite old and their performances aren't good enough now too. They need a fresh and young blood.

Milan will not reply the same success of this year the next one, because it isn't a team so strong. With the player bought from Juventus this one is candidate to be the best one of Serie A for the next years. Milan will remain

competitive but not will be able to win against the title. Hope that Napoli can do something of good with the season market.
It makes sense to speak that way, because their stats last season were not so striking with other competitors the chances of them being overtaken were very high. Moreover, players who play crucial roles are not young anymore. But if they want to maintain the achievements they achieved last season it is still very possible, as long as in the transfer market they can recruit players who are desperately needed.

AC Milan will take this great successful season to rebuild their club more intensively. They will get their position amongst top clubs in the Europe soon. Even in this season, we saw AC Milan actually played not too bad in Champions League. They had bad results but in many matches, they played well enough and deserved to have 1 point at least (in marches they lost) and 3 points (in matches they had draws).

In a new season, with some more new players, and with more experience of current squad in their second season in Champions League, AC Milan will play better and achieve better results.

I want to witness Milan to bring a new striker to the team in the coming transfer window. They have Ibra and Giroud now but this isn't going to be enough for them taking the Champions League into account too. Milan should make up for their bad journey in the Champions League last season. They couldn't do anything then. If they improve their lineup quality very much they can be more successful this time. It is needed for them to maintain good years in the Serie A also.

Divock Origi should have been announced as the newest player at Milan.
He has good understanding of the Champions League already with Liverpool.
Wasn't much of a bothering deal to get him as he was a free transfer
Divock Origi was not a bad player for Liverpool at his time being,he was equally good as well,he played good football that people liked too,but he was released from Liverpool because his space was no longer available at the club.He cannot be the top nine when Firminho is upfront,he cannot play in either of the wings when Salah and Mane are there. So fixing him at anywhere infront is no brainier, therefore, they had to release him.

Such is the football business and the club should look for players according to the financial means that are available and it's great when there are players who agree to receive several times less than they could. By the way, I am happy for such players and a little ashamed for a club that does such things, underpaying players. Still, it's better when players receive according to their efforts and talents. But this cannot continue indefinitely, because the age of the player is short and therefore, in the end, such a player will surely leave the club. And so, such cases may be when a young player earns a name for himself or an older player who has already earned a name and money for himself.

I don't think having Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud is going to be enough for Milan. They need a striker who can score really frequently and has time on his side. They really need someone who will be able to give his service for it long time. They have won the league title this season but I don't think they will be able to defend it successfully in the next. Unless of course, they make some big changes.
Currently, what is often discussed is still around Domenico Berardi and Nicolo Zaniolo but indeed in this case they are still having a hard time considering these two attackers are priced quite expensive on the other hand the name of another striker from Sasuolo, namely Giacomo Raspadori is still an option that is being discussed but so far indeed there is still no serious response especially for Zaniolo who looks like this is not going to work.

I believe Milan still have a good chance to bring prominent players to the team because they are the last champion team in the league and they are going directly to the Champions League group stage also. This would attract many qualified player certainly. On the other hand their finance might not be very good now too. They might have some problems on making multiple big transfers soon. Even if they prioritize the necessary transfers first it would still be okay for them. I mean signing a centre-forward for example.

In general, everything is not so bad because there are 4 Italian clubs in the top 20 clubs in Europe in terms of budget, but the gap from the top clubs is growing every year. Yes, and the gap between the average Italian clubs and the average English is growing inexorably, perhaps soon the gap will be critical.

I think that this critical level has already been just reached. I mean, the national team was not even able to QUALIFY to the World Cup in Qatar 2022, despite having just won the European tournament.
It is clear that Serie A (as beautiful and exciting as it may be) is no longer the league capable of attracting top players in their best form or to forge new talents as we have seen in the past seasons...

But Italy also missed the previous World Cup. These are just the features of the European qualifying competitions - there are many strong teams, but few tickets. If we talk about club football, then everything is bad. Here is a good thread where there is some information that shows trends: European football now belongs to the highest bidder.

As you can see, Serie A is not doing very well in terms of business, and this inevitably affects sports results.

But in this case we must also be aware that Giroud is not good enough in terms of age even though he can still survive and score goals, but in this case there must be regeneration that will allow Milan to stabilize the following seasons.
Nicolo Zaniolo was good enough last season but with his form I doubt Mou would let this player go easily, but there are several options Milan are offering now including giving up some of his players for Zaniolo.
AC Milan success with Scudetto tittle in this season but they don't have enough central forward and option with Giroud and Ibrahimovic only. Beside have potential winger like Rafael Leao I think Milan need to get new central forward for next season. They have competition on domestic league and champion league need to find new central forward most active scoring goal on every match, although not bad with Giroud perform in this season I think Milan still need to find new central forward.
Talking about Zlatan and Giroud it is clear they are very good players but their current age is not very supportive if they are forced to continue to be competitive there.
Nico Zaniolo is a pretty good thing but it doesn't look like things are going very well in this case considering that if you look at Roma now it seems that they don't really intend to let this player out especially there have been several signs of rejection now.
Some time ago 25 million euros plus Alexis Saelemaekers to Ante Rebic were reported as proposals to attract this young Roma player but until now there has been no good response there.
Zlatan is a great football player. He's one of the best players in the world. Unfortunately age is no longer on the side of either Zlatan or Giroud despite the fact they are great players, so if AC Milan doesn't seal a deal with Nico Zaniolo as reportedly that his team isn't ready to let him go. I think the club still have to count on these two giant strikers as the look forward for their replacement.

It's hard for Milan to just rely on Giroud, Ibrahimovic and the current squad to keep the Scudetto, but good news for Milan fans if now they have a big enough budget to spend on players after the arrival of new investors, Milan new investors are rumored to be providing around $100 million euros to buy several players, and now several names have been targeted by Milan such as Renato Sanches, William Saliba and Botman, while several strikers who are projected to be long-term replacements for Olivier Giroud and Ibrahimovich are Scamacca, Berardi and Raspadori, all three of whom are players from the Sasoulo clubs , with the amount of funds that Milan currently have, it looks like they are quite active in strengthening the squad and I think Milan will again be able to become Scudetto competitors for next season.

AC Milan seems very serious in the summer transfer market. The Rossoneri are very determined to defend the Scudetto and want to go further in the Champions League. Currently AC Milan has completed the transfer of Divock Origi to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is old and often injured, besides that Milan can still rely on Oliver Giroud for the next season.

Paolo Maldini is very determined to build a more competitive squad for next season, not only in the attacking sector, the Milan management also wants to complete the transfers of Renato Sanchez and Sven Botman.

Their experience and potential can still be exploited, but of course Milan will not always play them throughout the season. Ibra and Giroud know they will be outclassed by the younger players, but they may be ready to play a role when the team needs it.

For next season I think Milan need a striker instead of a winger. Zaniolo is a winger, so it might not really be necessary if Alexis Saelemaekers and the other wingers play well. Milan need a centre-forward to replace Giroud and Ibra, so I don't think Zaniolo is needed.

Ibra said that he would end his career if he won at least one trophy with Milan this season, has he already changed his mind? Smiley He was often injured this season and spent a lot of time on the bench, I think that this will only get worse. But if Ibra has a desire to play further, and the club's management is not opposed, then why not.
Yes, that's right, as long as he can still make a very important contribution to AC Milan, it doesn't matter even though he is no longer young. And it looks like AC Milan also seems to be happy to open up that opportunity.
Ibrahimovic made a positive impact on them after joining and also contributed to the Scudetto title they had not won for a long time.

Ibrahimović staying in Milan is good news but I really wonder if he will be able to perform better in the next season. He is a good player and once was even a better player but age has taken its toll on him. So, I don't think he is someone on whom Milan will be able to depend. His staying is obviously good but they will need someone better and young, and that player will also have to be very good at scoring goals.
