the motivation should still be there even though the opportunity is gone because even if there is no more chance to win the title at least they can secure third place so they can play in UCL, and I think a team without motivation will not be able to become competitors for the title.

I have never seen Napoli as a Serie A title contender. They were in prime position to make a run at their first Scudetto since 1989 as of a couple of weeks ago, but they have since lost to Fiorentina and now have played a draw with Roma to cede control to Inter and AC Milan. Now, Roma has slim hopes of reaching fourth spot and automatic qualification for next year's Champions League alive. Napoli have now failed to draw level on points with Inter Milan who still have a game in hand which could take them top, and leaves the Serie A title race looking increasingly like a two-horse race.

Napoli - Roma game was going to be a really competitive one and it didn't prove me wrong. Napoli seemed to be the favourite side and they were doing really well until the last minutes also. They led the game by 1-0 until then but Roma scored the devastating goal against them finally. And they managed to get that one point they hoped for. Napoli lost five points in their last two league games. These were really important points for them as they are still fighting for the league title. It is going to be much harder for them now but there are still five weeks to go too.
