Milan and Napoli still have an extraordinary performance and form these days. Milan were able to beat Roma 2-1 away and it was not so easy for them also. Roma found so many goal chances but benefited from only one of them and it was enough to bring the score to 2-1 only. It was good to see Ibrahimovic scoring in this match. Actually he scored his second goal too but it was cancelled because of offside. And Napoli got an easy-peasy opponent that they beat them by 1-0. Milan are still the 2nd but they are continuing to share the points with Napoli.
At the moment, Napoli and AC Milan are ahead in the Serie A title fight. Now Inter Milan is far behind. At the moment they are 7 points behind. If AC Milan and Napoli can maintain their stable performances for a while longer, we will not see Inter Milan in the title fight after a while. AC Milan's main goal is the Serie A title, they have no interest in the Champions League. And so they have given their full attention to the Serie A title.
They are in the race to win the title now indeed. Milan are not aiming to win the Champions League this season of course and there is no way they can either. There are very tough opponents for them here and I don't see Milan being capable of eliminating all of them. Chelsea had the power and the right game plan to make it in the last season but I can't say the same for Milan too.

Milan lost all of their CL matches so far and it will be very hard for them to qualify to the next round. So what I understand is that they will now focus on the league.  Unless Milan and  Napoli make any blunder, Inter seems like they might not be in the title race after some matchdays. So if Milan wants to win the league, they need to be consistent as ever. They have been playing very well for the past few seasons and I hope they can reflect upon that and win the league this time.

Juventus are going to play against Fiorentina next time. They have started getting worrying results again in the Serie A lately. They lost their last two games and haven't won a game for three weeks. But they are still perfect in the Champions League as they won again last night this time vs Zenit by 4-2. But they should be able to reflect their performance on the Serie A also. Fiorentina is not an easy opponent but they have no other choice than winning here to start a decent form. And I hope they will make it.

Ibrahimovic's goal was fantastic. When will this man stop working wonders even at this age, looks like he will continue to create, he is still very strong physically. If Roma had found the first goal a little earlier, maybe they could have scored the second goal, they were too late to score. It was a clean win for Milan, I can say Ibrahamovic carried the game.
I thought this football icon hanged his boots a few seasons ago after his Manchester United duties?? I guess this goes to show that the Italian league isn't as popular for it to manage to hide big names such as Ibrahimovic ! But away from that, interesting to hear his still able to get a couple of goals in a league I see difficult to score and not forgetting his age factor....I guess players are nolonger going for retirement when they get of a certain age.

As you said, I also thought that Ibra's career was over at United. He didn't have the best of times over there. But now that he has returned to Italy, he looks sharper than ever. So far he has scored 3 goals in 5 goals which is some very decent stat. If he keeps going on at this pace, he can still play at his peak for at least 3 more years. I'm hoping for some more Ibra magic in Milan.

Reportedly AC Milan has offered ibra a contract extension for another year, so if ibra agrees to the contract of course he has two more seasons to continue his career as a footballer, some time ago he had hinted that ac milan was his last club as a footballer and this hinted if he would retire in milan but no one knows when he will retire, I think with ibra experience so far in football, maybe one day he will be able to continue his career as a coach.
If there is a contract for the next year, then it is very good, because for  football player at that age it is good deal. What will happen next is unknown, I never heard from Ibrahimovic in an interview that he would like to continue his career as a coach, and now is probably the time to think about it. Although perhaps he just wants to take a breath for a while and think about further plans.

It's difficult for Milan to make a comeback in the UCL and I don't think Milan have to force it anymore because it will only be useless and dangerous, because if Milan keep pushing to win in the UCL, at least the players will be vulnerable to injury.
They are back slowly but very sustainably and they have DNA of Champions League. I don't naively believe that they can return to top clubs in Champions League soon but they will do.

A few seasons to help their players familiarize with Champions League and with some more transfers, they can come back. If Atalanta can do it, why AC Milan can not. At least they will be able to go to quarter final or semi final soon.

Quote
We can see the next schedule for Milan, after battling against Porto and in four days time later Milan have to play against Inter and that is the Derby della Madonnina. The Derby della Madonnina match is certainly a match with high tension, so I say Milan no longer have to chase to win in UCL, Milan can let it go and come back next season even better in UCL.
Milan will focus on Porto match to try finishing qualification task in Champions League ASAP. I know the Derby della Madonnina is important, because of history and of Scudetto race but Milan won't be distracted by it in the match against Porto.

In any case, performances in the Italian championship and performances in the Champions League are different competitions with different motivation and different level of opponents. Although, of course, it is surprising that despite such a successful performance in Serie A, where almost all matches were won with the exception of one draw, it was not possible to score even one point in the Champions League. Perhaps Milan needs to concentrate more on the domestic championship, but still good results in the Champions League give a solid increase to the club's income and they should not be neglected in any case. Also, in terms of image, the leader of the Italian championship should not lose all the matches in the group stage of the Champions League.
This is very unfortunate, I don't know what's wrong with them. Though they are in kind of a death group with Liverpool, Atletico, and Porto, but I expected them to win at least against Porto. Milan in their league and in CL looks like two different teams. Maybe the pressure of CL or not playing CL for quite a time has become a problem for them? But whatever it is, they need to figure it out soon in order to qualify for the next round.
This is not unfortunate because it is also part of game they have very good time here in League just because of their performance they are second in table but for their performance in Champions League its mystery because from start they have not good in this season and their lost against Atletico Madrid at home done some good damage for their run in this group now they need to win a regulation win in tomorrow game because their next games are never been easy and so this can give some confidence even they are completely out of this competition now have some better strategy for staying at top in League because this is very important for them right now most other teams struggling, but they have some good depth in form, and it's very important for staying at top.

Waiting for Ibramovic's consistency to be able to give Milan the Scudetto title this season or even appear inconsistent like last season.
it would be the most beautiful gift for Ibrahimovic if he managed to give the Scudetto to AC Milan. It is not impossible that if he succeeds in the Scudetto, he will announce when he will retire. Will this scudetto be his last title as a footballer or will he continue his career in a few seasons with another club like return to Malmo. These were difficult times for Ibrahimovic to let go of his career.

As a Milan fan, I am happy to see many world football legends playing at AC Milan. I wish, after Ibrahimovic, i can see another star players join AC Milan, even he just an old players, but giving good contributions.

it would be nice, Ibra is a rude person, presumptuous, sometimes vulgar and also very quarrelsome
but he has a heart of gold, I am sure that he will work for his fans, for whom he always has a lot of commitment, dedication and effort

Ibra contributed too much for Milan and his participation brought confidence back to the team, helped young players improving themselves and helped to improve the performance of the club.

Milan is too successfully when they signed with old players and used them. In the past, they bought Cafu from Roma and used him for many seasons.

I rememebered Paolo Maldini won his last title with Milan (Champions League) and retired after that. Will Ibra do the same? He is too ambitious and I think if he wins Scudetto, he will keep playing.
I do not know whether to talk about continuing Ibrahimovic's career, because he is already 40 years old, and this is a lot for a football player. If you look at the list of his games, you can see that he spends most of his time on the bench, with injuries. That is, his help is precisely in helping young players in the off-field. And judging by the results it is clearly beneficial for Milan. Regarding Ibrahimovic, we can already say that these are his last years as a playing football player.

at the age of 40, it is very rare for a striker to maintain the stamina and performance of Ibramovic, I think he is a typical striker who works hard and has been able to perform extraordinary things with AC Milan in recent years, a goal against AS Roma proves that Ibramovic still able to be the focus of Milan on the front lines. Waiting for Ibramovic's consistency to be able to give Milan the Scudetto title this season or even appear inconsistent like last season.
ibra proves his capabilities here.
as you said his age is now very old and the average age of 40 should have started preparing to retire and hang up his boots. but this does not apply to ibra.
His performance so far is quite good, on the other hand his role in AC Milan is quite good.
Disa can be a protector of AC Milan players who are still very young on the other hand, he can also be considered a mentor for AC Milan players.
This is in line with the words of Stefano Pioli who said that after the match he rarely went to the dressing room to provide input to AC Milan's young players because there were already ibra doing it.

That's right, the presence of Ibra gives encouragement to young Milan players.

Regarding Milan's success in choosing old players, it is true, not only Cafu, the most successful is also Van Bommel, many say Bommel will only be a player who only sits on the bench. In fact, he was able to make a positive contribution to Milan and this was beyond expectations. Unfortunately, this strategy failed to repeat itself when signing Mandzukic. Grin

Ibrahimovic is indeed very ambitious, and this season Milan have the opportunity to prove that last season's mistakes must not be repeated. If he does not suffer a long injury, Ibrahimovic may be able to maintain the consistency of Milan's performance to win the title this season.

Apart from being a striker, ibrahimovic also has an important role in the ac milan squad as one of the senior players who does have an influence to raise the mentality of other ac milan players and i've read that ibrahimovich is a player who can unite the team, be a role model for other players, and he will continue to encourage his colleagues before and after the match, even though he is now 40 years old, I see his game performance is still very good and of course with his experience so much will certainly be able to help Milan to compete for the Scudetto this season.

AC Milan have really proved to us that this season they are strong enough to face any team in Serie A. It is hard to believe how they lost 3 time in a row in the Champions League while they have not lost in Serie A in the last 11 match. Is it because of the effect of being absent for too long in the Champions League?
they are so superior in Serie A at least for the start of the season until now but indeed they are so bad in UCL.
Maybe as you say they are out for too long so they forget about how to deal with opponents who are always here Cheesy Apart from that the opponents from ac milan are also all great teams Atletico madrid were la Liga champions last season, Fc Porto are runners up from primeira league and liverpool although they didn't do anything good last season but it was based on because their players had a lot of injuries and when they recovered now liverpool have started to go crazy again

^ Things Ibrahimo is still doing even at this age is insane. He is one of the fittest players on the field and that is why he still has gas left in his tank even at the age of 40.
That free-kick is amazing and it is too powerful and accurate. Roma goalkeep could not do anything in that moment. At the age of Ibra, we can not say anything, because his career will depend on injury. If he is healthy, no serious injury finds him, he can prolong his career to 2 more years or longer.

it would be the most beautiful gift for Ibrahimovic if he managed to give the Scudetto to AC Milan. It is not impossible that if he succeeds in the Scudetto, he will announce when he will retire.
