This was actually the third time that Genoa won against Juventus in the last five years at their home turf. They did it previously in 2016 and 2014. That's pretty impressive for a club that isn't considered a top of the table contender.

I never knew they had such an impressive run against Juventus, that must have been an extra source of motivation for the team before the match, I have seen Juventus win matches even when they played as badly as they did against Genoa.

Italian league 2018-2019 standing positions Juventus now in the 1st place in this season,howeverJuventus fell to their first Serie A defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-0 by Genoa which team hold 15th place in this Leagu,now Genoa move up to 12th with victory.Napoli in 2nd,3rd place hold by inter millan.

Looking at their current form in the league, I'm pretty sure the players (and even the fans) expected to finish the season unbeaten in the Serie A, just like they did in 2012 under Conte. Winning a league title without losing a single game adds a special flavor to the title because that's something you don't see very often.I guess the only thing left to do, other than winning the league, is try to finish with +100 points. They hold the record for most points in a season (102 pts in 2014). They could reach 105 points at the end of this season if they win every single game, obviously.

A slip up would have been expected from them after a very demanding match against Atletico Madrid, The ends justified the means IMO, they needed to rest some of their star players, including Ronaldo who wasn't listed in the match day squad.

very sad, 2 consecutive defeats I have received. the first juventus which was surrendered was conquered from genoa, then milan ac who was unable to defeat inter. it's a sad week.

It was clear that Juve is going to lose, the team was solid through the start of the game and it was normal to make a defeat. However, I couldn't expect that Milan wouldn't win against Inter now they risk the 3rd place in the championship.

Honestly I was expecting this to happen sooner or later because Juventus chances of winning the title in Seria A are about 99.99% so there is no need to worry about that anymore. After a great performance in CL, Juventus was to excited and didn't care anymore about this match.
Juventus seemed totally drained out and the mental focus was just not there. That is normal after such a performance in the CL during the midweek. They already have such a huge lead on top of the table that they can afford to slip up like they did today.

Yes I risked money for them LOLI thought they are gonna have another win and placed some money just before the first half. Then I had doubt in mind (You know these doubts after placing your bet you think that you could bet for something else). I was just hoping them to score but it did not happen.
