Former Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo has announced he is retiring from football after playing his last game for New York City.
Pirlo was one the the best players Italy had in this generation. what a loss
Andrea Pirlo is my favorite Italian footballer. I do not think there's any reason for anyone to hate this guy. He is a player who is loved by everyone. His retirement from Football is a tremendous loss for Italy even for the World. What a wonderful person he is.
he was one of the best midfielder in the world and he in the top of his career when Italy get world cup trophy but i think this is the time for him to get retire after plenty of achievement during his career moreover his current age doesn't so good to playing with high level of performance again

With Andrea Pirlo's retirement, this leaves Gianluigi Buffon as the only remaining member of the Italian squad who won the FIFA WORLD CUP at Germany in 2006, the rest of retired and most have entered into management.  Without a doubt that was one of the finest squad ever assembled in football history.
Sad to see another big name that shaped football gone to retirement and I think that not only Gianluigi Buffon is the last Player from That squad to continue on playing Roma midfielder De Rossi have played with italy n That world cup I think he was the youngest from that squad he didn't play much as he was banned for 4 games but returned for the final against France he was 22 and now he will be playing his last world cup with Buffon if they qualified of course they will I think that Buffon will retire his international career after this if he doesn't retire from all after that .

yes, he is surely one of the greatest midfielders of recent years together with various Lampard, Gerrard and Xavi also recently retired.
They have dominated, in the middle of the field over the last 20 years.

Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes, Totti, Pirlo era are the best era for midfield positions. It is very difficult to find players who are at their best level. Even a Pogba was not worthy to be juxtaposed with them. With Pirlo's retirement the era is gone, it's time for the new midfielder to make a new era.

I do not want to see the juve as the winner again, I think napoli has done really well so far. but I still hope roma can win the league this season.
inter milan and lazio so far so good. so, i will watch serie a this season every game (big five club ). and hope roma win serie a tittle this season
any team could be the new SerieA Champion Napoli is second favorite for me because they have been in top 4 teams in italy for quite some times but they are very unlucky team they always have troubles at the end and Inter have benn great this season they have a great shot of getting it because they don't play in europe while the other teams play european games so their main focus is the league but they have been away from the top for a while and they could not handle the pressure and my alltime favorite is Juve they could have a good run any time and by that they could take the lead and make a good gap between them and other contendors and for Roma same thing apply for them apply for Napoli but Napoli surely look more better .

The five teams now in the top of the Serie A standings all still have a chance to win the Serie A title this season, they all just have to do their best and give the team a victory in every game and do not make mistakes that can get them out from the title-winning list this season. I've been tired of seeing Juventus always be champions every season, I think Serie A needs a refresher with the new champions in this season so the competition always happens every season and Juventus domination can be stopped.

Great balance in serie A:

Napoli 32
Juventus 31
Inter 30
Lazio 28 (1 match less)
Roma 27 (1 match less)

potentially 5 teams enclosed in just 2 points!
finally a competitive Serie A, unlike the last 6 years dominated by Juventus.
Direct clashes will be decisive.
I expect that the winner will only be in the last game of the season.
Napoli is always my favorite, but Inter without European cups can focus 100% on the Serie A.

this for me will be the final order this year:
1)Napoli  2)Inter  3)Juventus 4)Roma 5)Lazio
Even though there is a great balance i don't think the other teams have the longevity factor that juventus have and the mentality of a champion.
I think its great for the competitiveness of the Serie A that teams are this close but we shouldn't  forget what happened a few years ago when roma was far ahead and then fell off to Juve.
Serie A is very unpredictable this season. So the whole fight for the championship is yet to come. I hope we will see many more interesting and uncompromising matches.

what a good year for serie a but still want juventus to be the winner

Juventus again? I hope not, I wanna see a new champion for Serie A. Indeed, I like Juventus but I want to see them fail to win it again so they will try to improve more and more so they will also able to be more competitive at Champions League.

Why Italy get a loss from his retirement Andrea Pirlo? I think because Italy has not found another player who can replace Pirlo or even able to match the quality of a Pirlo. A few years ago it was discussed that Montolivo was a successor to Pirlo, but over time the quality of Montolivo did not develop and tended to decline. I hope next year will appear young players who can be a regeneration of Pirlo certainly for the development of football in Italy.

The greatest player of his time. I hope if he becomes coach, he will succeed. And we'll see a great game of teams under his leadership.
Not every great player turn out to be a great manager in my opinion, and I don't think Pirlo has made any desire to become a manager ever public before he should enjoy some rest before he makes any decision regarding the matter.

The end of the season will show whether Inter can play on equal terms with its rivals. So far, the game of this team, I'm impressed. How will it be next, this is a completely different matter.

In my opinion, Inter now in Serie A shows the most beautiful football. It is possible that they will be able to compete in this season for the championship title.

Playing one and only one perfect match does not imply that a team is the best at all. In other words, in order to draw such a conclusion you must imperatively watch the majority of the Inter's matches, to know the strength of this team and its weaknesses. Which is not the case in my opinion.

Italian players were in the past known to be first and foremost now to be defensive players but within the last ten to fifteen we have all been marveled by the brilliance of one of the best midfielders that the world has ever produced and he is Italian. The world will definitely miss Andrea Pirlo.
