I think italy choose him because him know much young italian nationality player playing in the lowest league competition maybe italian team has planned to renew or regeneration their national team for 5-10 year after done surely they will choice good manager with many experience.

Thats not a wise decision, 5-10 years sounds too long, since Ventura has been 68 years old now. I guess Italy want to try the same action like what Spain did when they hired Luis Aragones in 2008, which they succeed to win Euro Cup. But the difference is, the Spain team is much better than Italy at all.

most of the big teams will choose a coach who has been known to train a big team, but I agree with the Italian team management took the decision Ventura to train the team. because the game scheme applied Ventura would be more suitable for the Italian team.

Yep there is nothing great with this guy and Im not sure why they are picking him over the other coach. I heard that news too , he appointed to take charge of Italy after euro 2016.
Because Antonio Conte will manage chelsea and sure there no time enough to manage both club and international team.
He has no international experience but he has a lot of experience managing Italian clubs, it is considerable.

Thohir came to invest and trying to make Inter great again by buying some good players. But he has been cornered by Italian media and many people there, just because he is not an Italian. There is no instant way to win Serie A, even Juventus had to face hard situation when they were relegated to Serie B.
