Im overjoyed by De Rossi's Roma debut win! This is a breath of fresh air and a confidence boost for the team, especially following his appointment's uncertainty. Though hardly a landslide, the win over Verona is a good start. Even small triumphs are vital for momentum, in my opinion. Roma's second-half performance is concerning. The game almost got away with Verona's late goal, but they must keep their lead. Lets be positive and watch how Roma does against Salernitana and Cagliari, which should be wins.
Talking about positivity, AS Roma have spot in the top four if only they're serious enough to meet up the competitive run and maintain streak winnings in matches. I'm not confident enough to see the new coach succeed in AS Roma, besides his first game was against an average side that couldn't become any solid threat for the club. Daniele De Rossi is just starting and he needs all the possible support he could get because he's one of the top coaches that fits to replace José Mourinho who carry the team to next level before his dismissal.
De Rossi managed to record his first win with Roma after taking over the position previously held by Mourinho. It is understandable why many people still doubt his quality, because in terms of experience De Rossi is very far from Mourinho, but that doesn't mean he can't be expected at all, there is still hope that Roma can finish in the Champions League zone at the end of the season. However, everything still requires a process, including adapting his strategy and approach to the players. It is true that De Rossi needs big support to bring Roma back to consistency so they can break into the top four.
A good start by successfully beating Verona, we understand that Verona is not a tough opponent, so Roma can secure the 3 points according to their target. On the other hand, Serie A still has 17 matches remaining, and Roma will face several tough teams in the future, Salernitana and Cagliari are mediocre clubs, so they can finish it easily. However, we want to see how capable De Rossi is of bringing Roma up against a stronger team, if he succeeds in doing so, I think he is worthy of replacing Mourinho.
