I was scrolling through the news and suddenly I read that 16 million people in Italy have been placed under quarantine to stop coronavirus from spreading, and this is alarming to be honest as I feel Milan which has seen highest cases reported is turning into second Wuhan. Further I’m sincerely praying for all those people who’re now stuck in north Italy, as they’ll have to be brave and follow the quarantine rules till 3rd April. Also I feel their economy will be badly hit by this quarantine, and what do you’ll think how long will it take for them to recover from this?.

this is exactly why EU won't work, italy is good at panicing and wasting money, others especially eastern europeans are then forced to produce the stuff italy only spend for their benefit the entire uncoordinated behavior of especially western european nations will end up dividing europe again, this time with germany drifting eastwards. with germany dirfting eastwards western europe gets screwed and ends up poor.

the EU commission should have been forced to make a plan for all,

if Italy wants to privilege itself at the expense of the other europeans and especially eastern europeans they should print their own currency (italian lira)

Whoa! Why isn't this rest of the story being reported? Why is there such a lockdown in Italy with this info. The common Italy stats are being misreported! Watch the video. There is an MP3 audio at https://www.corbettreport.com/?p=35589.

The question is, how many other numbers are exaggerated like this?

What's Up With The Italian Mortality Rate? - QFC #058

Tom from Scotland asks about the mortality rate of Covid-19, and why it is reportedly so much higher in Italy. James answers with an in-depth look at the numbers, how they’re being reported, and what’s being left out from the equation.

Even that Italian government has posed so strict restrictions to the Italian citizens the outbreak cannot be ceased.
Italy was so infected and they realized that very late leading to a death rate of 1000 deaths per day. Bergamo and Milan are in a serious situation and I wonder how other countries can help them.

I think that is the best approach in addressing this pandemic, preventing the further spread of the virus is better than curing them which takes a lot of time and could increase their chance of dying, you know those saying about an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.

The world is in quarantine now. Not only a country. Yesterday I saw a news and it said that over one billion people are in quarantine now. It is really so hard for all people. Untill today More than 3 lakh people infected and every day is increasing.
China   81563
Italy      53578
Spain   28572
America   26881
Germany   22417
Iran   21638

These all are latest coronavirus infected list from https://www.coronavirus-eyes.com/

Outside of china more 230124 people infected. It is really hard for the world.

This isn't true, there's no stat anywhere stating that a billion people are in quarantine. I've seen some news stories talking about the logistics of trying to feed 1 billion people while they're in quarantine -- because you still do have to keep grocery stores open or allow for drivers to deliver food orders, which would require an online ordering system and so on.

We may have that amount in quarantine at some point, though not now.

As the days pass the Coronavirus is becoming more and more alarming The price in Italy is above in China. on the average quite 300 people are dying a day However Italy is keeping 16 million people free from coronavirus thanks to coronatine. But that does not work either The virus is spreading constantly i feel things might be worse.

Italy is kinda dumb. They are essentially drafting all medical students that are in their last year of schooling, to go and help in the hospitals.

Just because kids in spring break seem to be immune, some of them are finally getting sick.

So, here goes Italy, sending their best medical kids into the middle of the plague to die from it.

So, what's really going on?
A. The plague isn't all that bad;
B. Italy wants to get rid of modern medicine in Italy;
C. Italian government is crazy;
D. The Mafia is forcing government to do this so that it can take over;
E. All medical is a farce at its base, so nothing matters.

Should I start a multiple choice thread?

Italy uses BS to take control of its people. Absolutely go to the article, below, and check the links, which I have not included in the quote.

Italian Government Study

Italian Government Study

- 99% of their Coronavirus fatalities Were Already Sick; Half Diagnosed with 3 or More Diseases

Serious doubts about the accuracy of COVID-19 testing methods, results, mortality rates, and the supposedly unique and extreme lethality of this virus are starting to emerge, even within mainstream media and government reporting. A recent study released by Italy's national health authority found that nearly everyone who was pronounced dead from COVID-19 was already struggling with serious chronic disease(s).

A recent article in Bloomberg titled, "99% of Those Who Died From Virus Had Other Illness, Italy Says," illustrates an overlooked point in the corona-panic taking the world by storm: the status of one's immune system and overall health determines morbidity and mortality, and likely your susceptibility to infection in the first place.

The study found that,

"More than 99% of Italy's coronavirus fatalities were people who suffered from previous medical conditions, according to a study by the country's national health authority."

Moreover,

"The Rome-based institute has examined medical records of about 18% of the country's coronavirus fatalities, finding that just three victims, or 0.8% of the total, had no previous pathology. Almost half of the victims suffered from at least three prior illnesses and about a fourth had either one or two previous conditions. More than 75% had high blood pressure, about 35% had diabetes and a third suffered from heart disease."

The Bloomberg article also pointed out that the primary threat is to the elderly (the average age of someone who died was 79.5) and that the fatality rate may have been significantly overblown: instead of 8%, the fatality rate may, in fact, be closer to the global average of about 2%.

"The median age of the infected is 63 but most of those who die are older.

The average age of those who've died from the virus in Italy is 79.5. As of March 17, 17 people under 50 had died from the disease. All of Italy's victims under 40 have been males with serious existing medical conditions.

While data released Tuesday points to a slowdown in the increase of cases, with a 12.6% rise, a separate study shows Italy could be underestimating the real number of cases by testing only patients presenting symptoms.

According to the GIMBE Foundation, about 100,000 Italians have contracted the virus, daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported. That would bring back the country's death rate closer to the global average of about 2%."

This new report challenges much of the global reporting on the topic
which presents a unilateral narrative that simply being exposed (within six feet) to someone who may have tested positive for the virus is life-threatening, independent of one's health status and other precautions one might take, such as supporting one's immune system.  Elderly people, already experiencing polypharmacy for multiple life-threatening diagnoses for chronic diseases, are highly susceptible to opportunistic infections due to their chronic conditions, the adverse effects of pharmaceuticals, and subsequently weakened immune systems.

Blaming a single virus for causing their deaths is not evidence-based, nor does it fulfill the basic postulates established by 19th-century German physician Robert Koch to ascertain whether a singular virus can cause a singular disease. There are a wide range of viruses that can cause the symptoms associated with COVID-19 infection, which include the several hundred different influenza viruses known to play a role in seasonal flu.  It's also known that the Coronavirus family of viruses contain over a hundred different strains, seven of which cause the common cold. Some of these viruses exist naturally within the human virome, and never express themselves pathogenically, but will potentially cause false positives through the many different COVID-19 testing methods being used today.

Indeed, assuming the original source point of this supposedly novel form of infection came from Wuhan, it doesn't appear that the claimed singular causative agent -- COVID-19 -- was ever properly identified, purified, and characterized in multiple humans suffering from the disease (nor was its absence determined in healthy humans). This would be required, as we pointed out recently in Dr. Wodarg's testimony, in order to fulfill step one of Koch's four postulates, which would demonstrate scientifically that a singular microorganism like a bacteria or virus is the causative agent behind a disease (the most basic tenet of germ theory). Based on the testimony of Dr. Wodarg, the gold standard would have required the purification of the virus and characterizing it via electron microscope technology, as well as establishing an effective and independently verified virus testing method (which would have required using PCR-reverse transcriptase testing within multiple cases of those suffering from the identical disease) -- two things, it appears, were never done; or at least not reproduced and therefore validated independently through other laboratories and medical institutions.

Nor were any of the remaining three Koch postulates fulfilled:

The microorganism must be found in abundance in all organisms suffering from the disease, but should not be found in healthy organisms.

The microorganism must be isolated from a diseased organism and grown in pure culture.

The cultured microorganism should cause disease when introduced into a healthy organism.

The microorganism must be reisolated from the inoculated, diseased experimental host and identified as being identical to the original specific causative agent.

Until an original singular causative agent can be identified through multiple cases, and that agent can be purified and proven to cause the same disease in animals, and then re-purified to establish it is indeed the cause in humans, much of what we are hearing are "confirmed cases" and "COVID-19 fatalities" may be inaccurate, and further fanning the flames of fear, panic, and global instability.

For more information on the problem of false positives and inaccurately inflated numbers of both "confirmed cases" and fatalities, read the following:

At the moment, pharmacies and food stores are open in Italy. People are free to do their shopping for food. I'm not certain if they are suffering from shortages due to hoarding. However, most perishables should still be available.

There are places where people were concerned about food shortages but now many places masks and sanitizers are OOS. Hoarding is OK if it's just for 2 weeks but if for more time, it may be a matter of concern.

These figures Sad

With the result of millions of people being quarantined, the people will suffer from starvation and panic rather than the illness. I am wondering if people cannot leave their house, how are they managing their food stock? The videos being shared of people crying is horrifying. China has been able to control the number of cases but other countries are struggling still.

Italy has kept supermarkets and pharmacies open to the public.

Back to my reporting of cases.

The USA has done under 20,000 tests for Corona-v

South Korea has tested 10,000 a day for the last 3 weeks.

Trump guessed wrong and it may hurt him.

He had a golden chance to pull a reverse move on the dems.

Shut down  all Chinese, Korean and European travel 15 days ago. edit " People  into the USA and people not goods."

Lead into the virus like it was really bad and show the dems how he can mobilize quickly when needed to.

If the dems disagreed he would now be pointing the finger at them for fucking the public.

easy move nothing to lose and he failed bigly by not doing it.

His hope is this passes fast and that it was all an act of hysterical manipulation by the left.

Its a mess one way or the other people are dying  all over the world.

and John Q Public   does not know what the real stats are.

Ie is it 1,000,000 sick and 50,000 dead still growing?

or is it 115,00 sick and 5,000 dead fading away?

I don't know and I suspect most people wonder which is true.

Based on the ship off Japan

600 of 5000 caught it  and 18 have died.

that would be 12%   and a 3% death rate.

if true and it goes worldwide

12% of 8 billion  is about 1 billion  3% of that is 30 million

which is 1 of 266 people .

That seems to be the best worst case number I can figure from data.

Unless Italy's 7% death rate is more accurate that would mean 7% of 1 billion which is 70 million

that is about 1 out of 115 people world wide.

Best case numbers are much lower under 1 million worldwide and less then 20,000 dead.

it's becoming a serious situation, the death toll is still rising. lockdown measures don't seem like they're working effectively

Because the spread started since Dec last year. And many Chinese traveled on that month across the globe. So a lot of people will really get infected by this virus. The lockdown will somehow help the spread of the virus but I don't think it will be contained anytime soon. Pharma should get going and release the vaccine very soon.

This would be pretty funny if people were not dying from the disease.

I do wonder if Itlay is telling the truth about the disease and most other countries are lying about it.

My logic is as follows USA flu death rates yearly flux between 20,000-70,000

This leaves a lot of space to call a corona-v death a simple flu death.

Since Trump's people placed the bet that this would be a non-event  they would be inclined to do very little corona-v testing and the numbers would be under reported.

Italy has really bad death rate more then 5%

China has a low death rate under 3%  that is a big variation in death rate.

all info below is from here
https://coronavirus-map.com/

world wide is 121,564  caught it    4,373  total dead     66,239 Recovered

80,969   china ............................ 3152
10,149   italy ..............................631
9,000     iran ..............................354
7,755     korea
2,174     spain
1,784     france
1,629     germany
1,050     USA .............................. 29

The Italian death rate is really high 6.21%

the USA death rate is 2.76%

the Chinese death rate is 3.89%

So who is reporting correctly.

I know USA wants to underreport
Maybe Italy is over reporting to get some fiat printed

who knows.

I don't think that the US wants to underreport, I think that the US wasn't really prepared for this sort of thing and are not getting hit pretty hard now. No one was really ready for this, and there isn't even a proper amount of tests already ready to test everyone. They're using the current amount of test scarcely -- they're only using these (IN THE US) on people who were in contact with a confirmed person who have come back from a place that has a good deal of people that have the virus (China, Italy, etc)

No country wants to underreport, but if you dont have the resources to handle this then there's really not much you can do. Though I do think that the Trump administration does have to do more to show that they're combating this. People want to see people from the Trump administration in the media talking about this and talking about their plans.

italy is the country of mafia, making panic about corona is a deliberate attempt in order to print a ton of money and get out of their debt.

The problem is that even in Italy, debt isn't debt. When the money was borrowed, it wasn't borrowed. New money was created to give to the so-called borrower as a so-called loan. Since the borrower wasn't really a borrower, and the loan wasn't really a loan, why should anybody pay it back, since they didn't borrow it in the first place?

The Mafia is simply deluded as to how they were the pansy in the government's/banks' creations of new money.

Cool

money has to be destroyed, or the state debt continues to exist, states have to be beneficial for people,

europes nationalists can't be trusted with money, in europe there will soon be an improving awareness about that. then crap like the corona crap ends.
italy should have better spend the money on border security, together with greece, corona is nothing bad.
