I burned out my laptop hdd downloading the blockchain
But I got a new one for free
Fuck that, now I use multibit, it sync in a few seconds and so simple a child could use it....

Works for me

Interesting, but do they have RPCs? If so, are they same/similar to bitcoin-core's RPCs?

I always tend to get the impression that people promoting new coins are rushing to this thread and desperately try and promote their latest investment gamble they just put money in. I don't quite see how this is anything vastly different from existing cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin still has the biggest traction, acceptance, and best known name out there. That is what actually counts. (Whether this is good or bad isn't mine to decide, though)

Same here - that being said I do trust what Hyena's saying and according to the stats NuShares apparently is doing well over past 2 weeks. I do not invest in Alts other than BTC simply because my margins are way more profitable/consistent/liquid.

I overestimated the NuShares rally. It's not that great if you actually look the order books, they are so thin a mendicant could manipulate the price there. However, the great thing about NuBits is that you can get out of any volatile cryptocurrency whenever you want and not hold dollars in your exchange account or bank account.

I wish Bitcoin was initially developed like that (proof of stake mining and no volatility). Then there would be no stupid ASIC arms race, energy consumption and those news reporters couldn't blame bitcoin for being volatile. Bitcoin is good as a store of value but for everyday purchases it sucks. I predict that in the long term Bitcoin will not be the most successful cryptocurrency. However, in the mid term Bitcoin will conquer new all time highs until its technical limitations start to obstruct it from further success. I'm already hating the Bitcoin-core because it makes my PC so slow, it constantly grinds the HDD, the block chain is currently 31 gigabytes and the wallet software sometimes consumes up to a gigabyte of RAM. In the mean time, Peercoin's block chain is just 420 megabytes. For 3 years I was 10% in prominent altcoins and 90% in bitcoin but now I'm 30% in altcoins and 70% in bitcoin.

Now is the time to get them!!!
It will only take one big company /investor to double the price per coin
Also scarcity, increased difficulty mining, increased costs, lost private keys etc etc and then the block Reward halving.....
I don't know why some people just don't "get it"
50-100usd coins is gone, you missed it... Now is the time if you want to buy a ticket for the next train  Smiley
Chuu Chuu mother fuckers...

Are you selling tickets for the train then?

Nope, I prefer to hodl mine well into the future
You have to get them from some other means
Local bitcoins are recommended though as it's easy
To get ripped off using exchanges ie gox, mintpal etc

Anyway back on point;

This guy has done some TA Stuff and thinks it's about to be HAPPENING AGAIN?

What do you guys think of this?

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-market-price-update-bull-market-in-sight/

Been thinking for a while a rally is surely gonna happen at some point, as much as I've been loving the sideways action I know the Whales want to make some cash!

I not a fan of all TA because most of it is subjective and draws on too many assumptions, just know we've been sideways for TIME now and somethings gonna happen either way.

Bitcoin is gonna take many more years to reach stability with respect to price index.

At least something is happening to NuShares, so in a sense happening hasn't stopped Tongue at current rates I have doubled my wealth held in NuShares.

Nice one man!  I dabbled in Alt investments long ago, now exclusively BTC man. Made a nice return on AUR but would have been down if not selling and getting out? Don't keep track on Alt markets.

Not saying Alts are not worth investing in, just in my experience they price never sustains (bit like Bitcoin now I think about it lol)  Grin

I was on the AUR boat myself Cheesy but I got greedy and didn't sell, so learned my lesson with scamcoins that don't introduce anything new. Luckily it was just pocket money that I lost there. With Nu it's different. I truly believe in them in the long term since they were first to solve a long known problem of cryptocurrencies -- volatility. AuroraCoin didn't solve any problem, they just copied Bitcoin and changed the name, but NuBits/NuShares is a truly innovative combination. For example, if I was a merchant I would happily take nubits but bitcoins not so much. I know this post starts to look more and more like NuBits propaganda but honestly, their system works and it's great! Unfortunately, NuBits is deliberately ignored by cryptocurrency news sites.

A good picture tells more than thousand corpses. Below you see how nubits has successfully kept a peg of 1 NBT = 1 USD.

And this is the NuShares rally that I talked about:

NuShares is paying dividends and a first batch of dividends has already been distributed to shareholders. Perhaps that's what ignited the rally? Whatever it is, it's happening! Cheesy Also I'm glad this Ripple bubble is bursting, their centralized shitcoin does not deserve to be even listed on coinmarketcap.

Much speculation on here as to what would drive a massive rally?

I think it would have to be

-something that every one needs/wants

-something that's at a "too good to be true" price (but genuine)

-can ONLY be bought using BTC

-complies with all legal import/export (all governmental bodies cool with, and will even do it themselves)

If someone invents/integrates/implements that, whatever that "something" might be, then yeah Bitcoin could be huge?

I think that we dont need a massive rally, just an increase in userbase.

You're right fellas, seems to be struggling with us hanging around the $380 for a while.

I expect there will be some significant movement soon - which way, I don't know  Tongue

And why exactly do you expect it?

Apart from the longshot 1week ema cross that would result in attempt to break 480$ (which is unlikely), and catching the momentum from that (which is even more unlikely).

Last time 1w macD went green and ema's crossed it was nothing but a failed rally into more dumps. I seriosly dont expect pretty much anything for next 3 months or so.

Appreciate your TA, gotta be honest, I'm not good at chart analysis. All I know is that we've been pretty much sideways for over a month.

You could be right, but like you said, last time your indicators showed a breach, it was quickly brought back down. I just think were really cheap at the moment and I'm personally loving it  Wink

Just being cautious, as I don't think it'll take much to inflate price (50,000-100,000BTC) "pump" on a major exchange is not a lot, is it?

That's only $18-25Mil : $36:50Mil cash injection, nice chunk of change for us Average Joe's, but not that much for some investors/companies.

It's just my opinion bro, but I think the BTC market-space is very small at the moment, and we are all hedging for a significant injection of Fiat in near future. The fact BTC has liquid value is amazing!

Eg. I rather have 500BTC @ $400 = $200,000 then 200BTC @ $800 = $160,000

You guys still don't get it, everyday that passes, this "injection of cash" you are waiting for is adding near $2mil PER DAY... Injections of cash have been trying to happen but these stupid machines are producing a lot of money FAST!!  Cry

Know what you mean, hang on in there bro!!

Given up on just holding Coin for some time now, because my family and some friends think I'm mad investing so much in BTC.

I try keeping on the down low, and just come on here to vent on my bitcoin extended family Cheesy

I bought some coin back in the day (wish had bought more) now trying best to keep increasing, it's hard work 18Hrs/7days a week.

I hope it's gonna Happen big time at some point but seriously doubt it'll be tomorrow or the next week, month.

With that I'm less stressed as used to be and if it does get pumped (I mean serious pumpage $3000+) then would count myself even luckier.

Truth is, that it might never do that and you're right, even if the market cap 4x'ed doesn't mean the price/coin will also, like we all are hoping for.

imo today's investors will be waiting many more years before stability at a boom price and that there's going be many mini rallies and dumps along the way.

I'm in my mid 30's now and if even get significantly rich of BTC, think I'll be closer to early 40's by that time.
