If you still have the means to recover your funds from Trezor wallet, please do that first.
That's a lot of ETH and to be honest we would happen to have the same mistake anyway like not caring that I invested a little in ETH or even BTC back in the days.

If you really wanted to start from the scratch, you could go to Coinbase and buy BTC or ETH. BTC is kinda retaking back the 40k+, so you might need to buy now before the train goes off.
Otherwise, for cheaper choices, go with ETH.

Of course, it's never too late to start. And now I think this is the best time also because many crypto platforms have an MSB license. Therefore, by choosing binance, coinbase, ownr, trust or others, beginners will increase the security of their funds at the start.

I agree that it's never too late to start - there is only one "BUT". Market 2017, 2019 and today's market are completely different things. Of course, the basic properties of the cryptocurrency market remained, but still. I think that even after leaving the market for more than a month, entering it again, you will find yourself in a new reality. But an inquisitive cryptomaniac should not be stopped by any difficulties - you just need to enter the market in small parts, averaging, by and large, the further price movement cannot be predicted, but when you cope with greed and carefully, like with the steps of a cat you open your purchases or sell, in any case you will be left with a profit.

I almost forgot all my assets until there was one. the thing I think is my stupidity, I omitted my Trezor which still contained around 9 ETH at the time I bought ETH around $ 700 in mid 2018, and ETH keeps dropping so I ignore it.
Long story short I want to start from scratch I want to ask the seniors who are here.
I want to start trading again. Could you please give me some advice so that I don't go through things like a few years ago.
If you bought around $700 then you have good profit by now. 1 ETH right now is worth over $2,700, so the nine ETH you bought then will be worth around $25,000 by now. You should get to your wallet and claim the profit, although I still feel like the uptrend is not over yet, but it’s good that you’re back now and you should be keeping an eye on the assets that you have invested in and know what’s happening so you don’t miss out. And if you’re serious about trading, try to do some lessons and read trading articles online, you can make use of learning websites such as Coursera and Udemy to learn whatever you want to learn

actually I have also known bitcoin since 2017. But since the crash market, I started to think that bitcoin is a high risk investment and a small profit.  Earlier this year, I realized bitcoin is a very profitable investment.  It is never too late to invest in bitcoin, bitcoin and altcoin prices still have the potential to go up even higher.  If many countries or companies have started using bitcoin or using other crypto platforms.  At that time the price of bitcoin and crypto will rise even higher
With now on the current price dip? Do you think that those kind of  views wont change again? For sure it does specially for newcomers out there where they do hope
that much or anticipate on getting rich with their crypto investment and with this current price correction for sure those kind of anticipation would break out and
frustration would comes next. Its true that its never too late to start but it would be much more wiser if you do consider on when to get in
on something which is cheaper.

I even started earlier than you, I was in crypto since 2016 and that was the year crypto was still at a very low price. the future of cryprocurrency or bitcoin is getting better and more and more known by people. some companies have started to adopt crypto and many institutions are starting to enter crypto because they know crypto provides more benefits.

it is never too late to start everything. cryptocurrency is still going to provide big surprises in the future.

When we're in a bear market, it's very effective to stay from the market if it's only giving you anxiety, pressure and disappointment.

But are we in a bear market, this is the question.
We had a number of 30% drops in 2017 bull market, so this isn't anything new.

I recommend not trading if you're asking people to help you with it OP. People like you fall victim of signal groups and other scams.
You have a tough choice to make and I'd recommend to take some profit and sell some of your ETH. Also, I'd get some BTC with my ETH profits just in case.
I'm just giving the idea if we're already on it. The experience that OP has did good to him and resulted very well.

And with the question if we're on the bear market, I can't say if it's already the bear market that's on us when it has came from all the way from $60k~ish and then it had dropped to $36k~ish.

But these prices, I don't worry with it.

As you have read others warning you to save your passphrase next time so you will not make the mistake again, 9 eth is not a small money and buy you would have been a millionaire within a short of time.
I wouldn't advise you to consider trading as a way of entering into cryptocurrencies industry now, trading is not profitable and now that the market is going down, it is the best opportunity for you to buy at dip and hodl for long term. The same way you did bought eth and forget about it should be the same way you will enter into crypto, but this time do not fail to save and store your secret keys perfectly.

Slightly tells me that I know bitcoin from this forum around June 2017,
But I haven't kept up with the crypto world for a long time due to my busy business and boredom with the price of BTC in 2019.
So I almost forgot all my assets until there was one. the thing I think is my stupidity, I omitted my Trezor which still contained around 9 ETH at the time I bought ETH around $ 700 in mid 2018, and ETH keeps dropping so I ignore it.

It must be very upsetting to lose Trezor which still has 9 ETH in it, knowing that the price of ETH is now very high. But no matter how you can't
keep thinking about it, you have to move on and start over. Better to start late, than live in regret. Moreover, the current crypto price is falling
quite deeply, you can start buying Bitcoin and Ethereum. I think you should just hold your Bitcoin and Ethereum first. The most important thing is
to save your hardware wallet properly, don't let the mistake of losing Trezor happen again. I really do not recommend you to trade without knowledge
and experience, therefore when you are holding BTC and ETH, you can learn how to analyze the market. After you really understand how to analyze
the market, you can start trading with small capital.

I am sorry to hear you lost your wallet. Maybe you can search at your home or your office and maybe you can found it. Yes, that feels hurt to see we lost our wallet because that is our job to take care of our wallet. If you want to start trading, you can register on Binance and buy bitcoin or usdt after you deposit some money to Binance. You need to learn more about trading to have a chance to make a profit and never give up when you are not making a profit because you will have your time to make a profit.

your story is slightly simillar to us too .
its when we know bitcoin and refuse to continue but you dont need to regret in yours because the reason you dont continue in btc is because you have a business but ours is more regretting because we spend the time in non important things .
if we only spend it in btc we could have been more richier than what we had now .

You already have 9 ETH you bought at $700 or you've sold them out?
If you're still holding then you don't need any capital to start a trade cause you are a 20-30k dollars holder. Just don't panic when investing into any coin, normally you take risk to invest but don't panic cause your fear might lead you doing something silly like selling at the deep just like you said here. You bought the coin and it keeps going down but now you can see the price of ethereum very cool and profitable to you. I'll advice you subscribe to any youtube channel with a good trading tutor to have more knowledge on trading as you do your own research.

It is really never too late for anyone to start off their journey doing trading with crypto. It is just that you must have the initiative to get along with the current market movement to get yourself adaptable and flexible to your working environment. With the case of OP, it seems like he will not be starting from scratch if he will just take patience on recovering his Trezor and accessing his 9ETH stored in it that will give him a handy to start up as a capital on doing trading because he have bought those fro $700 and with the current price of ETH, it will already have a big contribution for his trading capital. For the others who will be starting from scratch, it will still be good to start up now because lots of opportunities are still present. You just have to be patient and time will come you can grow yourself into doing crypto related works.

It looks like you've done a pretty good job choosing the crypto for investment, the only problem you have is with storage. Generally, it's not that hard, I don't know why so many people have troubles with that. Here are some things that might help you keep your crypto:

1.Using hardware wallets should be a priority, it's much safer than online wallets. But I think you already figured that if you used Trezor.

2. Store your recovery phrase in a visible place and make many copies of it. Place one copy on a piece of paper on your table, somewhere like that, and don't be afraid. For everyone else, it's just a meaningless number of words, but for you - it's a guarantee you will recover your funds whatever happens.
Store other copies in different places.

3. Tell your close relative or a person you trust about your savings and give them another copy of the passphrase, emphasize the importance of this phrase to make sure they won't lose it.
This will not only help you in case you lost access but will also give the opportunity for your close ones to access the funds in case something happens to you.
Not many people think of such things, but the fact is, we never know what might happen to us and it would be a pity if all your money was just lost because no one knew where you store your passwords.

Felt so sad in your situation, you lose your 9ETH for such stupidity? Naturally, it often happens when you never think that particular thing gives you anything in the future and you never care if you lose that as it was just nothing for you before. Many cases happen like this, in fact, some people lose their wallet keys. Because the reality is that we can just appreciate a thing if it has value and we can see its importance if we can benefit from it, and that is why you are remembering it now.

Well, I think you felt mad about the situation but consider this mistake as sort of your encouragement to invest again in crypto. And I hope this time you can appreciate all the things you acquired even it has no value as this time because you'll never know, crypto has the potential as long as it still exists in the market.

First thing first, you should learn how to store your crypto assets correctly because that is very important and never forget the private key that under your control.  Crypto investment in the long term is a good idea and I rather say, focus on Bitcoin investment which is safe and we know that it will always have ATH every 5 years I think based on the history.

I want to start trading again. Could you please give me some advice so that I don't go through things like a few years ago.
To tell you frankly, trading and investment are different things here.  Trading is very risky if you don't know the technical stuff, it won't work while investment is sort of safe because all you have to do is wait for the perfect time of selling and when your profit was there.  I may advise, learn first and have your own research before you will start in trading.

If it still has the recovery seed backup, he can recover it to his new Trezor but if he doesn't have it anymore then it's totally gone.

The 9 ETH is really a huge amount at the current price and I hope that he still has the recovery seed that's the only way to recover his old Trezor wallet.

it is definitely worth paying attention to this. When he set up Trezor for the first time, he had to create a recovery seed. so it exists, you just have to remember where it could be, is it on paper or file.

It's never too late. In 2018 yr, I lost +/- 10BTC because of a hack, of course, I continued on.
