Nice stats Smiley

Don't worry about the Reporter Badge, it's on the TODO list of Theymos Smiley
So it will just appear sometime somewhere in your profile or under your avatar Smiley

More statistics on this, in turn might cause more analytical topics on this one in Meta board, which already burried by Ban Appeals and analytical updates  Cheesy
I don't think we need more stats on this (Report to moderator), if Report badges will be lively applied. If we can keep it simple, statistics can be displayed simply through reporter badges, we should stick to the approach.
The ideas onSeeking reporter badge images, raised in June of 2018, by theymos caught lots of attention, interest, suggestions (suggested reporter badge collection) from forum community, but by now there is no confirmation from theymos that it has been on top of his to-do list and will be implemented soon.

I don't expect it any time soon anymore:
I'll probably add it next week sometime.
Sorry for the wait, when I went to implement this it ended up being quite a bit more of a can of worms than I originally thought

I think these stats are outdated...

Well, this thread is over 15 months old, and the OP hasn't been updated.  So yeah, it's safe to assume the data is outdated.

I think these stats are outdated or just not accurate.

Another possibility that these statistics are made only to compare moderators and most recognized members of the forum.

I have already made 2500+ reports with 100% accuracy and I am not on the list.

After I have written this post I found that quoted post from Theymos is dated 2017 so everything is correct. I started to report spam and abuse during the bull market when the amounts of spam on the forum were overwhelming and that was after 2017.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

That's wishful thinking The Pharmacist. Shitposters will continue shitposting it's what they are best at, but the system does prevent them from progressing and if theymos implements a system to only show merited posts on a topic it might mean those who only want a see the most constructive and relevant points can without shifting through rubbish replies.

It might just be me, but I find reporting posts and contributing that way to be quite therapeutic.

I noticed there is mixed feeling on reporting, some feel more and some feel less after the merit system introduced.
report stats before and after "January 24" might give us some ideas on relations between post behaviours, merits and spam reports
Yah, I definitely report fewer posts now that we have the merit system, but I'm not reporting zero.

I'm of the mind that shitposters are eventually going to get the message that it's near impossible to rank up without buying merit points, and that they'll give up.  That might take some time, and I'm not even 100% confident that's what will happen, but I'll be patiently watching.

I was furiously reporting posts prior to the merit system being introduced, as I was just so frustrated at how many there were.  After that I started tagging the shitposters.  Now that it takes so much work to rank up, I've kind of developed a sense of serenity that only comes with the knowledge that the shitposter issue will resolve itself naturally.

I'm hoping that's what's going to happen.  And although I'm still seeing idiotic pajeet shitposts, I'm definitely seeing a lot of users making longer, more coherent posts that obviously took more effort than is normally put into posting here.  That's a joy to see.

Shameful stats:
Code:

I don't know why, but usually I skip that shitposts which should be reported. Maybe sometimes I'm just too lazy to click "Report to moderator" button :/
Now I got more motivation to report posts more active.
It's impressive to see report stats posted here. It's great to see many members who cares much about bitcointalk and spending lot of hours to make this forum to a better place.

Sorry for my ignorance, How can I find this.

Click on the "Report to Moderator" link at the bottom right of any post.  That will tell you how many posts you have reported, and your accuracy.  Smiley

"You have reported 265 posts with 100% accuracy"

I seem to be reporting slightly less since the merit system came in. That's just anecdotal though as others have already said the opposite. It would be interesting if there are statistics for how many posts are deleted by moderators as a whole and if there has been any change.

"You have reported 329 posts with 91% accuracy".

I feel like I might be off/too strict with my models. I'm also wondering, though, if moderators investigate more deeply into the post (i.e. context) because sometimes I do mention that the statement has already been made earlier in the thread. (typical recycled post garbage).

I believe a lot more spam megathreads should be just cut off and deleted. I still see too many.

Hilariousandco handled a lot of the spammers I reported, and I am grateful for that.  It's nice when you suddenly see someone get busted back down to brand new because a mod deleted all of their shitposts.  I've been reporting a lot fewer posts now that we have the merit system--and I feel much less stress these days, too. *Whew*
I'm still reporting the same amount of reports that I was before it was introduced, but the merit system has been effective in a way. It's made the forum overall a better place to browse as there's more users trying to make good posts, though the altcoin section and a few others are still littered with spam.
