The time to sell depends on the price at which the coin was bought and the price of the coin during the time you decide to sell. Strike the difference and if it makes a satisfactory profit, you are good to go. That is the basic principle guiding crypto trading.

I'm not spreading FUD and everyone is free to do whatever he wants. After all, it's your money.

What I'm suggesting here is to take all the tokens and coins you're holding and start reading the whitepaper, check the roadmap, see the team behind that project and how active the developers are is by looking at the GitHub repository. If it's not looking that good, don't think twice, just go and sell regardless of initial buy price because you'll be cutting your losses this way.

I understand that saying "hodl" is nice etc but you should use your brain and don't be blinded by the idea that every useless out there will go to the moon. Only a few are worth investing in so instead of holding random coins, you may want to target something that has been here for a long time and still doing well such as ETH, BTC.

if you have decided to sell at this moment then i can say you have a weak hands. cant you wait for a bit longer, december and next year is already knocking at our doors to have a massive profit and yet here you are inviting people to sell when the bloody market isnt giving a profit. thats insane mate

Yes i take it as a good advice. Very important to monitor the projects you invested in, everyday. If there are no progress and the team and developers are doing nothing no reason to hold that coin better to sell them off and find another better and good projects.

You are seeing it as a time to sell but as for me i am seeing it as a time to buy, the price of coins is down and people are selling off, I will go by the saying ' when other are afraid to selling, buy more and when they are buying more, you sell'. So i am buying more because I know the market will still grow.

I tell you. At whatever price you buy coins - it's too early to sell.
Think for yourself , we are so far from ATH what sales...

I think that actual prices are really too low and if for example I will sell most of my tokens I will have a loss that is more than 75% of buying value. It's not acceptable for me so I prefer to hold them, but you have reason when you say to look at development of the project because if project is inactive/dead is better to sell in that case.
not for now, the biggest loss for you if you sell assets is at this time. many coins suffered losses this year, prices dropped significantly from average. believe you still hold your assets, because they will go up but need a long time

The sale of crypto at any time is entirely up to you personally. But you should consider carefully because this time the exchange rate is slightly fluttering so you should wait until the end of 2018 then determine to sell it will be better. If selling now, the losses are sure.

is the price back to normal now? You say it's time to sell?
indeed selling is the right of everyone, but it is unfortunate if you sell now and the price is not normal, your fear will regret later

I'm new in crypto world, around in the at the end of last year I came to crypto world. And I got very good respon of this. But, now I think it is not the time to sell. I see the market, they are still very dropped from the ideal price some months ago. So sorry if having different opinion, But I only seel the tokens for trading that has good volume and higher price in this time. But overall, holding is better.

No matter the situation, I see selling at this worst period as the last thing a rationale investor can do. The loss is unbearable now and it doesn't make any sense to sell coins during this bloodbath. Therefore I still stand with my "holding" policy.

Truth be told, as you said, many altcoins out there are not being worked on anymore or developed further by the devs after raising huge money. It's a big risk holding altcoins and waiting for moon which may never come.

Well you have point about that but we blame others that some of crypto user is strong believers so few people will understand what you saying like people that in crypto in many years and experienced all in crypto. As crypto user we need to understand when we need to hodl or not because your money is what we talking about it may lose or not. So better understand what you're doing in crypto so we can avoid to lose everything.

OP, you have nailed a good point there, which i agree with. I also believe that everyone should always know what to hodl for long and what to hodl for short term. Sometimes, if you hodl a shit coin for one to three months, you are likely going to make a huge profit, but you must have done your research.

I think now selling is too late as everything starts to grow and a bull market will come soon. If you wanted to sell it you had to do it in the summer and you need to use stop los then there would be no such situation.

actually selling it doesn't have to wait for summer, but anytime it can sell. it's just that we are looking for a profit. because sometimes the situation goes up and down, and it's also difficult to predict that coins can be sold. then the best thing is to wait for good times.

I think this is stupid strategy. I checked roadmaps of altcoins which I hold. And some of the teams have problems with dates or realising product but i know for sure that they are working on their product. It's not a good time for selling.

Well that's your idea but for me i am not taking any lose on a project, most coins in the market have gone down so much and there is no point for me to sell them at a peanut price, I am still hopeful about the future that the prices will increase.

That is what I think. There is no point in selling coins at falling prices and losing a lot of money. I think you need to go all-in, or you will return your money and earn or lose everything.

There are still great coins like https://paws.bjammerboy.io/7489/5412460 coming out. I think it is the opposite, now is the time to buy especially the newbies who missed out on Bitcoin. Just do not use more than 10% of your R&R budget.

The largest and most active investors have long since left the market. And waiting for the good times to come soon. When they come in we will see the market in green and it will be a good moment for sales
If there are coins that are already in the black, they can be sold. But at the same time, now it will be useful to buy those coins that have come to consolidation

By next year there will be coins that will give good results. Half of those, that were in the past year and part of those, on which we not turn attention

I don't think that now it is the best time to sell because prices aren't the best. they will rise soon and you will be able to do this and earn from this much more than now
