The registrar might provide a redirect service. I think godaddy and namecheap do for example.

So that Vlad can set the domain to go to a specific URL.

Might not be ideal for SEO though depending how they actually implement it.

What?  I'm not sure what you're referring to, Mark.

Dang Vlad, you took this whole thing dead serious from day 1.  Most thought it was a fad or a total scam or joke.

Congrats, maybe MarkM was right, you are a visionary.  It's awesome to see we have all the domains locked up for this coin.  Nice!

So who is actually developing or actively working on iX?

Why do you ask?

My background in computer science and as such I will try to provide help on my spare time (which is not much at the moment). If in the mean time you guys need some translation to Portuguese (Brazilian market might be huge) drop me a line.

Cheers!

Welcome!

We got a ton of stuff to do!

Anyway,  could you translate the 'funding page',  'FAQ' and 'Download' sections to Portuguese.

I agree... Brazillian Market is huge!

Hi guys,

Just to let you know there is a new guy interest in this coin, me Smiley

I have to thank to iampingu which was kind enough to point me to this coin and gently offered me my first 100IXC which lead to spend the last few hours reading this thread.

I will try to buy as much as I can (not many unfortunately) and keep them for a while.

Friction et al,

I own certain domain properties which may be of use to iXCoin.  I will retain ownership but I would share any profits with those who add value in making any of these sites a success.

Domains like:

iXcoinCentral.com

iXcoinTalk.com

iXcoinTalk.org

iXcoinDice.com

iXcoinPoker.com

And a few other others.

I will also list some of my coin domain names to try to raise some funding for developing iXcoin but I may not be able to sell them as I will not sell them unless I get an offer I feel is worthwhile as I now by next year the Crypto-Froth will be insane and good domains will sell like crazy.

Some of the domains I'm gonna list on Bitcointalk and eBay are:

TeslaCoin.com

ZionCoin.com

ScorpionsCoin.com

FranceCoin.com

And a few others.

Any advice is appreciated!

ixcointalk.org would be nice for the forum.  I will however need to figure out how to associate that domain with the free forum software we currently use.

You got it.

If we ever get any ad money I'll be sure those who pitch in will me generously compensated via some fair and generous profit sharing model.

Here are pics of some of my domains. I'm only willing to sell a few right now and only cause we need funding to get this coin going.  Gonna wait until the mania builds up before I really start developing these domains or sell them.

-  If you see a domain which we can develop as a team let me know.

-  If you see a domain you wanna buy, let me know, but right off the bat, I am NOT gonna sell these domains for dirt cheap. I don't need the money that badly and can easily wait another year.

-  I will be listing some of these on eBay in the coming days as we're starting to get big budget outfits developing coins now.

Take a look and give your input:

Folks!

Let's try to get an article on coindesk.

Unlike before, they've got a lot of press on other alt coins:

http://www.coindesk.com/technology/altcoins/

So we got a very good story to tell, specially with the Native User Defined Currencies (NUDC).

Can someone do the legwork for this?

I am damn busy updating the site and trying to work out the NUDC spec and implementation!

I have thrown some IXC into the donation pot in recognition of Vlad's sacrifice. Smiley

Thanks, brother.  Only put in what you can afford.

I appreciate it.

Edit:

Might I ask, how did you hear about iXCoin and are you a long term holder?

I donated about the same percentage of my stake as you did, if I have calculated it correctly.

First heard of IX here I think, before there were all these new altcoins. Holding coins as a hobbyist-enthusiast basically.

Considering the interesting characteristics this coin has, it seemed possible it could become a parallel and complementary coin to bitcoin.  Especially as new uses are developed. Thanks for your efforts, FrictionlessCoin.

Dev status report.  Making very good progress creating the Native Colored Coin spec.  We call this Native User Defined Currencies (NUDC), to differentiate this from the conventional Colored Coin specification.

I've updated the website with some preliminary information: http://www.ixcoin.co/?page_id=138In addition the Smart Contracts stuff is looking pretty impressive.  Will put the Mastercoin folks is shock and awe.

Can someone tell me how iXcoin's difficulty is consistently much lower than devcoin's while the network hash rate is usually right up there with  Devcoin's and sometimes even higher?

IXcoin's difficulty should then be as high as Devcoin's, if not even higher and that's simply not the case.  I just checked Vircurex and right now ixCoin has a difficulty which is half of Devcoin's (6 PH VS 11 PH).  I'm sure this will fluctuate but overall that's been the trend.

The only thing I can think of is outright manipulation to keep iXcoin's difficulty as low as possible.  But to do this would mean controlling a large portion of the asics currently mining iXCoin.  And this would also explain why the network hash rate for iXcoin fluctuates so immensely compared to say, NameCoin or Bitcoin.

Am I missing something here or is someone manipulating the network to mine as much iXcoin as possible and it's going undetected cause nobody really cares about this coin.

It is instructive to look at how difficulty changes over time.  You can see this at www.coinwarz.com check on SHA-256 box.

Anyway, at the bottom of the list you find NMC, IXC and DVC.  You will notice that the difficulty graph looks different for each coin.

That is because the algorithm to calculate difficulty is actually different for each coin.

NMC is identical to Bitcoin.  IXC has a different calculation and DVC appears to have a faster correction algorithm.

So IXC is actually different in code from Bitcoin in two main aspects (1) merge mine and (2) difficulty calculation.
