ixcoin is the only one of dem coins that might very well be supported unconditionally until the very end of all coins

Blockchain of ix stuck at nheight 285909.
There are currently 277 transactions waiting for the next block to be solved which at difficulty of 761,913,567 will be never without the support cex has given for so long .... or the support of another major pool....

I just checked one of my nodes and it shows:

Code:
{
    "version" : 32430,
    "balance" : 0.00000000,
    "blocks" : 285924,
    "connections" : 23,
    "proxy" : "",
    "generate" : false,
    "genproclimit" : -1,
    "difficulty" : 761913567.92256093,
    "hashespersec" : 0,
    "testnet" : false,
    "keypoololdest" : 1442207275,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
    "errors" : ""
}

So the chain IS moving.

Also, mmpool shows 73.81 terahashes currently.

So even if blocks are a little slower than normal they are clearly moving; and difficulty should adjust itself as the merged coins all got a difficulty adjustment fix way back in the early days didn't they, to adapt faster than bitcoin did? At least I think most of them adapt fairly well and rapidly?

EDIT: Also, we have been sitting around position 50 to 55 or so on CoinMarketCap the last while which is about our usual spot.

ixcoin is now at block 286783.  For the last ten hours at least, we've been averaging 3 minute blocks.  The network appears to be catching up now.

a very unusual selection of some coins..................

some are excellent choices,

not saying i see any bad choices,

I did notice a handful of these are very 'obscure'
ixcoin will be here, so it seems.

http://www.redsys1.com  (beta I guess)

If so, it means "only" these services:

- Debit Card
- Cold/Hot Wallet
- Merchant integration
- Currency chosen automatically or manually

IF secure, this kind of services will make cryptos available to masses in a frictionless way.

I can't blame you. If big miners have no intention to help us out, there is no much we can do.
I will try to convince F2pool to get ixcoin back on their mining.
I suggest Vlad to do the same.

I get very easily agitated these days; I would hate to get upset at the people we need most.  lol

But I'll try emailing CEX and f2, although I expect a long silence.  It's as if they have lost interest in IXC or they faked it all along.

Hm, foreboding for IxCoin.

I hope this can be resolved, wish I could offer something towards technical development. If the knowledge required isn't there though; it's not there. Say what you will about altcoins in general but if nothing else the IxCoin community has been comparatively forthcoming in discussing the absurdities surrounding cryptocurrency. For that, I would gladly go down with the ship should it come to worst.

As for IxCoin being rejected on Cryptopia: Auroracoin  won a round of voting despite it's substantially higher 50% premine. It's laughable.

Well since i am the only one who seems concerned and i actually own just a handful of these coins I think I will just do what all others are doing. --

Nothing  Grin

No, I'm very concerned but I don't understand the risks of resetting the difficulty.

If f2/CEX are dropping IXC then what chance at survival is there?  Anyone can hack IXC.  Our difficulty was our biggest strength and selling point.

You got it right, Cin. No one is gonna help ixc on this. Forget Cex/Ghash. Not sure about about Thomas & F2pool.
The resetting of the difficulty could be the only way out.

This is crazy.  Wouldn't resetting the difficulty mess things up?  Now there is no chance for me to get any coins off cryptsy even if they don't go full-Gox, which I think they're weeks away from doing.

Guys you don't understand

I have confirmed the chain is not moving

How are you going to sell / buy ix coin when you can't move them ?

This is a very serious issue.

Also: no disrespect intended to anyone :

Other than myself, mmpool, ahmed & markm no other regular visitors to this thread have expressed much 'tech knowledge' .

I attempted to communicate w/ Thomas months ago and never heard back.

Thomas if you are still around now would be a good time to say a few words.

I will leave the chain seized up for now.

If Thomas as the original dev. says to hardfork and reset the difficulty I suppose I may do it.

If cex has dropped ix mining -- I hope f2 pool steps in and starts to run it.

I cannot explain it in any more simple language.

Anybody wanna sell some IXC?  I'll pay above market price but I don't trust Cryptsy so it would have to be off-chain.

I deleted a bunch of my coins and a big chunk got hacked and now what I have left is stuck on Cryptsy.  So I'm freaking out a bit.  So if anyone was hoping to sell but wasn't finding the bids or you wanna do some arbitrage I'll pay 8,000 sat right now - the bid is currently around 6800 sat but no real buyers.

PM me.

Thx.

As to the premine anyone can easily see that the coins have stayed unredeemed --

Whatever exchange said that is probably a honeypot.

Someone sent me a mesg. saying the chain is siezed up of ix.

If true ill look into it tonight when i get home.

If cex drops mining ix & no one else picks it up and this siezes up the chain i can easily just hardfork the coin & reset the difficulty to one if necessary.

Bitcoin is basically a chinese currency:

https://www.coinhills.com/market/exchange/

Haha, that's hilarious but ironically it's true on many levels.  Most of the volume is from China and they also control the network which controls the protocol.  Not many people seem to know this.

Is someone still believing the 2.75% premine is something forgotten or insignificant?

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Home/Voting

Rejected coins

IXcoin(ixc)   Premine too high

how about a 100% premine (aka: an ipo coin) ?

edit:
i checked my old history too and it was Vlad that said that way back on Cryptsy and it was 60 domains LOL

Just an FYI to the community.  It's been months since f2pool and CEX asked for the 9.3 code update and still nothing has been done.  The difficulty keeps dropping so I'm not sure what they're doing.

Just be prepared for the worst - for IXC to be dropped like they dropped I0.

I wouldn't sell - these old chains are crypto gold, private chains are gonna be huge and IXC should find a buyer if our Chinese partners can't see the light.

It would have been very convenient though if all coins used the same system, so you would only need to post one address for people to send coins to regardless of which coin / which blockchain.

We did that with DeVCoin so that we could use people's existing bitcoin addresses to send devcoins to for them, so they would not need to get a devcoin wallet and create a devcoin address in order to be eligible to receive devcoins.

-MarkM-

I think that will happen when we go to bits.

My question is that why did Bitcoin not start with a "B" in the address instead of "1"?

Maybe cause it was the first coin ever.  Makes sense.  X instead of i doesn't make much sense to me although X is an easy letter to remember so I'm ok with it.
