I fully agree with you that it is not a simple math calculation if it is +EV
but please understand that we are doing very good promos to attract players but we can't explain
you guys if it is +EV or not
we think that if some one out there is only betting on + EV then he should know how to do the math.
and even with +EV you still can lose and it is not guaranteeing a win. but I agree that the law of the large number will make you win at the end but it is called "law of the large number" and with large is meant the time. one can win immediately or much later. same with casinos because they don't win all the time.
for example that we give 1 BTC Bounty is always a gamble. but we want to attract players and not only +EV
hunters (although they are very welcome)

In short, the jackpot is 1 in 279936 (if you bet on 1 racer only) the more racers you bet the more chance you'll hit the jackpot. Its on their FAQ and I know it, Im asking wether this is +EV or not . Not asking about the chance to hit the jackpot because it is not important unless it is +EV
IMO it will depend on your strategy and of course your luck as well. It will be +EV when you hit the jackpot before you lose more than 3btc, but if you hit it after you lose 3btc it will be -EV. But I'd say it is +EV if you have enough fund to try it, because the JP can be hit anytime even on your first bet.
