phil, this club spurred me (and many others Im sure) to dig deeper into hardware, electronics, testing, setups etc than any previous mining endeavor. the speedrun in particular was the most fun Ive yet had mining, and my current setup is based directly on this clubs observations and testing.

Yeah I have the solar array going on. Buysolar has land and it is his array. I have about 18th in gear.
If you use no batteries and sell back a lot of power to the power company you get free power.
so in a 60kwatt setup you sell 40 kwatts to the power company. use 7kwatts for you home and around 13 kwatts to mine.
His business is solar so the install is labor free. The panals are wholesale.
Solar gear is very durable (except for batteries) Since he does a sell back setup he does not use batteries.
So there are two costs the solar gear and the mining gear.
Pick a number pretend 20,000 usd. = the mining gear and the solar gear . the solar gear will last close to 30 years
so that 20k usd up front earns monthly income at no further cost.
So essentially we can compete with anyone as the power cost is a one time price then 0 for the next 30 years.
As for mining cost I do not need crazy diff jumps but I may end up being able to buy somme more gear cheaply.
the goal is to have 10kwatts for mining and maybe in the next year go to 15kwatts for mining.

I need to focus more in that area. Over the next 90 days.
I get you. Well if you just share equally with whoever mined in the last 30days before we hit the block, if ever, then i guess you would no longer have any ongoing work to do. But if you add hashrate, then it would just be in your best interest to do it solo.
If you do a 1 person 1 share thing, i'll do it. Otherwise everyone goes their separate ways. It was a cool promotion regardless.
