I am going to lock the thread because while it's nice to have a positive thread for this section, I see that we basically all agree (although it's clear that JJG has detractors) and I don't want this to turn into a spam mega-thread of everyone repeating the same thing.

Thanks for your replies.

+50 for JayJuanGee for exceptional effort

Now here is another fellow who is working tirelessly on seeing that the community actually grows ahead. Keep up the good too HB.

As for JJG sometimes I feel if the dude is actually a robot because it amazes me to how he writes and merits in a very accurate manner relating to the discussion on the thread. Sometimes when am at my free time I just look at his work and wonder if this dude actually have other things doing cause I mean it inhumane to relate to some of the things he does 😁

JJG does not have a life, no wife, no family. Jokes aside, there are many forum members who spend enough time and contribute enough to make it a good place for forum members. JJG is one of them.

Funny enough some Hippocrates here in the community before were actually calling and arguing that he is the person to hold responsible for promoting shit posters and even went as far seeing a thread some time back about him being banned or restricted from WO and the famous thread in speculation @ buy the dip and hold. It really good to see that atleast it has come to everyone notice on how JayJaunGee is of great help and contributor to the forum.

JayJuanGee is definitely a great example of what a merit source should be doing. He spends a lot of time reading posts and replying to them, not just handing out merits to his circles. It makes perfect sense, especially since we're in the Bitcointalk forum, and JayJuanGee is a big advocate for Bitcoin while being against altcoins shitcoins. We need more people like him to keep Bitcoin discussions and speculations more active.

I personally spend a lot of time reading the forum too, and I can’t help but notice JayJuanGee replying to posts he feels are worth engaging with. Just by checking his post history, you can see that reading through his valuable contributions takes time.

He definitely deserves a badge. If there are badges for users who excel in art or drawing, then there should be one for someone like JayJuanGee, who tirelessly shares his knowledge and belief in Bitcoin’s long-term success.

@OP, thanks for bringing this up—you deserve a badge (merit) too!

JayJuanGee is a splendid person with a great knowledge about BTC and his explanations of technical things are given in a way that anyone can understand , he makes it look easy, that is to be admired, he really is one of the most valuable people on the forum, apart from that when we talk About WO I think we all think of JayJuanGee, his intellect is something that surprises, he is a very kind person and he is not toxic at all, a lot of the information he Always says is teaching all around, he is like an open book, I am not surprised that some people think he is a Bot , but he is one of the greatest members there is on the forum, for me he is one of those people that if one day he finds himself in trouble or is going through a bad time and requires something that is within my reach I will not hesitate to help him.

Well, what can I add? I completely agree with you OP. That's what I noticed, he and franky1 seem to be spending lots of time on this forum and I like that but JayJuanGee really reads each post on each page. I have received merit from him on a post that I wrote on 29th page or something like that and I was like, WOW.
I like JayJuanGee most especially because he also focus on newbies. If you post something that is good and if you are not posting rubbish, you will receive merits from him very well.
Who would not like such a person that devotes quality time addressing multiple users on the forum about Bitcoin related affair, in the case of accumulating process he has magnificently aligned a lot of newbies and those who wants to keep learning how to invest using the most comfortable means possible and how to secure every part of it.

JayJuanGee has played a huge and unforgettable role in minding relevant discussions on different threads, his ability to absorb and render quality responses keeps him very relevant to the forum. +1 year in the forum and counting, i still get to interact with him, his level of devotion and consistency makes him entitled to what ever decided for him.

I think you can clearly see how much time and dedication he has to the forum.
I wouldn't want to mentioned JJG because he is always active reading post sometimes when I tried to follow up his comments my head usually get twisted 🤣, I will space maybe would minimize page to do something else when I am done with it I do come back to continue reading his post. I think had already received merits from him thereabouts but not much which I think I have not commented on the thread his is always active reading. Usually people like LoyceV, Fillippone, El duderino_ , DdmrDdmr, pooya87, LFC_Bitcoin, TryNinja, Rikafip  , hilariousandco are also spending much time reading post on the forum but you wouldn't noticed because they are not programed to be plus +1 as JJG.

When you don't have anyone to fill in those spaces then the forum is the best place to be. We are more than a life to him. His enthusiasm for discussion in the forum proves that we fill up those spaces for him. And its worth it.

I can tell he spends nothing less than 12 hours a day in the forum, i don't know what he does with the rest of the day. 1 AM  forum time and 7 PM forum time you always see him online.

I clearly remember when I joined the forum and started posting some long posts on the WO. I was jokingly compared to JJG, and I didn’t understand why.
This is my first memory of JJG, and since then, I have had the opportunity to exchange views and ideas with him.

Of course, I think JJG is one of the forum members who best represents the community's spirit: commitment to the community, kindness, technical competence, and, of course, merit circulation.
A true asset to the community.

I was recently surprised (and amazed) that @fillippone awarded merit for my message written about 8 months ago.

This happens because I am lazy and lagging in my merit giveaway thread. So when I see an interesting post near the one I was alerted about, I merit it.

I observed it long ago when I was very active on the thread "buy the dip and hold," JJG really devote time to read through forum and he also gives merit to any comment he feels it's worth it. I have received merit from home on some old post too that was very old.

But like, by far.

It has happened to me repeatedly to see that I have been given a merit and it is for a comment I made on like page 3 of a thread 5 months ago. And it's not that he gives it to me, it's that he reads the thread from cover to cover and gives merits, usually one at a time to the posts he thinks are worthy of.
JayJuanGee is not the only one on the forum like this (who spends a lot of time reading on this forum). I periodically received merits from past old posts. Here is one such example. I was recently surprised (and amazed) that @fillippone awarded merit for my message written about 8 months ago.

I don't want to diminish JayJuanGee's diligence and passion for reading our discussions (even old discussions), but it seems to me that other forum regulars also spend a lot of time on this.

JayJuanGee is one of the most reputable members who are contributing to the forum by sending large amounts of merit to users that need it. I've also received random merit in older posts, but he isn't the only exception, lovemaysfamilies, Ddmr, nutildah, vapourminer, Lucius are a few examples of users wholeheartedly giving out merit to users, if it wasn't for them, a large number of us, including myself, wouldn't come so far in ranking up. A few years ago, I couldn't imagine myself being that close to Legendary, but now I'm approximately less than 150 merits away, thanks to these users!

There are many people better than me in many ways and who contribute more to the forum than I do, and they should be the ones to receive it.
Thanks for taking my joke exactly in the way I intended Grin. IMHO you are also a gem to this community who understands and maintains the very spirit of the forum.
I can understand that it feels good to realize someone is paying attention to our efforts even after so many days. It happened to me as well when @lovesmayfamilis gave me a merit for one of my posts after more than 100 days.

Thanks for mentioning, but you attracted me to reading your posts, as you mentioned earlier that I had already communicated with you. So I returned to the stories to remember that yes, that's true; I now like reading your posts.
But as for the topic itself, I completely agree. JJG is amazingly attentive to all users. He responds to the explanation of any questions, and this is not a short, dry answer but a large and complete answer.
Just like that moment when we see the merit received, seeing that the post was written a long time ago but still was appreciated, it brings great surprise and a smile. I want to express my recognition and respect.

Thank God, JayJuanGee is still alive to see all those comments about his impact and commitment into this form.He use to encourage users in the forum with merits when he going through their posts for other people to learn to know that quality post is good no matter what you are doing to complete your post a day, if there is anything the admin can use to encourage people like JayJuanGee  in this forum, they should go ahead and do it.

Yes, as is normal, not everyone is liked by everyone, and in JJG's case, he also has detractors. I just thought of starting a positive thread in this section, which isn't very common.

Other WO posters and forum members criticized him many times for spreading merits like that. The fact is, JayJuanGee looks at the post and does not look at who the poster is. For this reason, he ends up giving merits to some possible merit abusers, possible alt accounts, and merit farmers. I guess I saw a thread in Meta a couple of months ago where they said they should disable JJG.

Usually, people do not create positive threads in the reputation section. It is good that you stepped out to talk about it. I am also wondering what would happen if a low-ranked forum member had created this thread. Most forum members would call it unnecessary and say it's a merit-fishing thread.

I have not visited the Wall Observer for some time yet even there when he used to (or still does) post, he seems almost meticulous and focused in large parts. Though the merits of meriting posts in WO have been mentioned it the past in other threads, it cannot take away dedication on part of JayJuanGee when comes to almost any thread he participates in.

vapourminer has also been mentioned in this thread, I also have received merits from him for somewhat older threads and that also seems to be about the time taking to read through threads.

Full credit to JayJuanGee, vapourminer and others that have enough time to go through older threads and merit posts they deem worthy.

At first i used to think that @JayJuanGee is a bot  Undecided until i took time to read his replies, honestly speaking that man is down to this forum, he has almost same characters as @O_e_l_e_o (blessed memory if that's what it is), the only difference is that @O_e_l_e_o was more of technically equipped but @JayJuanGee is versatile in the forum as there's no relevant boards he doesn't visit and award merits to posts he finds merit worthy. I have earned about 17 merits currently from @JayJuanGee and i must say that i feel so special when i get merits from his profile. What marvels me most is how he reads replies one after another and makes a long voluminous quoted replies just within some minutes. I second that he deserves a special badge from the community  Cool

JayJuanGee without doubt is one of the most active members of this forum, he's also one of the OGs that I know who deeply loves Bitcoin investing and believe in Hodling. Back in the day when I was very active on Wall Observer thread, I used to read JJG's posts time after time, but from a few months I haven't been on WO thread and that's why not I rarely read JJGs posts. However, I highly agree with OP that JJG is one of the most active and prominent members of the forum along with Plillipma1957, and vapourminer.
