JunkCoin is selling for 500 per BTC, get them while they are cheap I predict that they will match BTC value in 25 minutes.

Here's proof: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wts-8000-jkc-at-1-btc-1000-jkc-198443

I agree with this. We should change its name. I don't like its name either.
The problem is too late to change now... I propose we call it "JKC Coin"

Sorry guys, I have to admit that this is my mistake. Like many other alt coins, the launch is not that serious, it was for fun. Anyway I agree that the name is not good, I will change it to JKC or JKC coin as suggested. Thanks.

BTW, Mark, I respect you. You had quite some good suggestions. But please don't play bad guy here. We are here for fun.

Wooow, you are just swimming in the Kool Aid. Those 1,000,000 coins belong to who, some magical MCP? Perhaps The Architect like in The Matrix? No, those coins belong to the creator of this junk (aptly named) coin.

I imagine you're relatively new to the alt scene because this scheme has been done time and time again. Anyone remember SolidCoin? I imagine some of you get-rick-quickers haven't even heard of it. Yeah, these pre-mine bounties never pan out.

Junk Coin SPECIFICALLY is a pump and dump and basically admits as much due to the high payouts to early adopters (and the million coins to the founder).

Why you say the 1 mil belong to the creator? Does the bounty paid to the mining pool, wiki/website, exchange, giveaways, faucet, etc etc should be paid by the creator? The reserved bounty, for me, belongs to all of us who hold the JKC. It serves exactly the purpose. And js2082 said before that whatever left will be distributed with faucet or giveaways, he will not take any of it. Isn't that clear to you?

Well the early adopter awards may not be adequate, he probably did not set the init diff high enough, but hey, the other alt coins all use the exact same diff, some you don't see the effect because they are already heavily premined. Give me an example of another alt coin, where after its launch, someone from this forum saw the then block number being less than 1000?

Don't be ridiculous.

man, open your eyes wide and read the posts. The 1mil is premined for the reserved bounty. The creator did not take it, it serves for reserved bounty for mining pools, websites, promotions, eventual exchanges, etc, etc, it promotes the value of all who holds the JKC. What is wrong with it? Also it is stated clearly in the initial post, nothing is hidden. After the coin launched, I saw there were people reported the block number is something like 150 or 170 (I don't remember the exact number), did you ever see this happen to any other coins?

It is different than other insider priminings. Like when CNC launched here 2000 blocks already mined?

It should be JNK; JKC is JoKeCoin, which isn't ready to be announced yet because mining its genesis block without a few dozen huge GPU farms is going to take a few months.

The reason JKC will never take off is because it was made to be JUNK. It's fucking intention was to FAIL.

It's making a fool out of all of you.

Why is a coin with a 1,000,000 premine a viable alt now? People about lost their fucking minds when IXcoin had a premine of ~500,000 coins, but for some reason everyone is just super cool with this.

Ya'll are fucking fickle.

In the host running p2pool you can open http://127.0.0.1:19327 in browser?

Yes, after putting in the username and rpcpassword from the junkcoin.conf, it gives me this:
Code:
{"result":null,"error":{"code":-32700,"message":"Parse error"},"id":null}

I don't know how to setup p2pool in windows, maybe you need to add the worker port (default is 9327). Here my p2pool launch command in linux:

Code:
python run_p2pool.py --max-conns 60 --net junkcoin -a 7j1m7BFyGViEwByYmdv6y1b11GdoUWDttm -f 0 --give-author 0 --w 19327 --bitcoind-rpc-port 9771 --bitcoind-p2p-port 9772 USERNAME_IN_JUNKCOIN.CONF PASSWORD_IN_JUNKCOIN.CONF

* Replace '-a 7j1m...' with your JKC address
** USERNAME_IN_JUNKCOIN.CONF and PASSWORD_IN_JUNKCOIN.CONF same as junkcoin.conf

try addnode in config file, check message #171 and 175.
Or wait a little longer. I never had problem to connect. The network is big enough for now.

still nothing Sad

Add these lines to your junkcoin.conf file, then restart the qt client:

Code:
addnode=24.210.42.161
addnode=86.40.95.128
addnode=46.65.55.189
addnode=123.16.98.117

addnode=88.182.13.77
addnode=113.162.171.83
addnode=107.3.186.55
addnode=62.163.9.155
addnode=138.130.128.133
