What do you mean by "top influencers"?Do you mean social media influencers?
Can you mention a few influencers, who bought Bitcoin and are bragging about it on social media?
Nobody knows when those influencers are going to sell their BTC.I assume that they aren't very skilled at crypto trading and most of them will panic and sell their BTC,after a price crash hits the BTC market.
I big part of them might be just lying about owning BTC.I call them "fake influencers".They are just bragging and flexing with something they don't have.

seeing top influencers buying into bitcoin and some going public to talk about shows bitcoin is a step ahead in the expected direction. everyone is probably buying and holding to sell at a higher price later. just curious to know how long these guys will hold bitcoin and what price they will likely sell ? is it even possible to know their mind ? but i am sure they are in for long term. what do you feel about this. ?

As of today, there is a lot of saying by which news and ads popping and showing up when I use my social media accounts that bitcoin can grow which pushes a lot of people to hold the bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

So a lot of inexperience bitcoin holders or rather newbies tend to hold in but in the other sad part of the those who knew bitcoin a long time looks in the past that:

-History repeats itself

-Can possibly go up and later goes down, in short unpredictable.

-connected to the second it is unpredictable/ uncertain

As which I am not being much active by knowing updates and looking at the prices of bitcoin in the past few years I already learn that stop being greedy and learn to wait and hold as which I did I got a small amount of I was part of the people whose investment in Bitcoin went in the value of 3k. I focused on my studies and later on to my surprise last year bitcoin slowly going up that showed me history does repeat itself because it was a 2-time experience that for me that bitcoin hit 3k.

ALSO A FOLLOW-UP QUESTION

who are these top influencers? can you give up a name? I hope you won't be afraid we are safe here.

If you are a btc enthusiast and a believer of bitcoin, you will likely understand the feeling of holding it to the extent until you reached your goal profit. We cant also predict when do these bitcoin hodlers sell off their bitcoin, but for sure they will just sell some part and will continue to hold it.

Also, the fact that volatility is an opportunity for those hodlers to accumulate more, then there is a good reason for them to sell their bitcoin at set target high price then rebuy at low price if given a chance.

We don't know when someone is going to sell their bitcoin but it is a good rule of thumb that they are going to probably sell when they have around a 50% profit margin or a bit higher of their capital. We don't have to wrry about them, just be alert about the prices so you don't miss out selling for a big profit.

you won't know what is in their mind until they sold already. rumors spread like wildfire after they sell.

but you got to put in mind that the world monetary system is being reset. they won't waste a good covid crisis to take the opportunity so once it's fixed and covid stops there could be a slowdown and stable prices and then selling as well. things will change and could be permanent as well like covid passports and so on.

I guess you could know that by what they are buying bitcoins for. Is it For long-term business, to hold long-term, to make money from price volatility, to control the price, for show off, etc. This will probably give you an idea how volatile the market will be.
I believe that most of this heavy hitters like the institutional monies that have flown into Bitcoin would be mostly for the shorter term profits IMO because I really dont see them HODLing Bitcoin for years like regular investors do, their main aim is to turn around some quick investment cash out even if they might reinvest hence I to do believe we might be witnessing some usual volatility in the market.

Institutional investors don't trade for short term since it will take some time to liquidate there asset in case they want a short term trade. They usually set a target date or profit before they invest into something since they are investing using the money of people backing them. They study cryptocurrency first before they invest and I believe they saw that cryptocurrency future is profitable that's why they are investing big time.

They do (institutional investors) daily trades but they just have their clients investment locked in a plan.  That way they have the freedom to move their investors money without worrying for their client to cash out anytime outside the planned subscription.  If they don't do trades then where would they get the fund to pay their staff and bills.  Remember they are created not because of making their client profit but themselves to get profit from the money their client invested.

Can you guess someone's thought correctly? Of course not, except you have been even reading their written thoughts.
Well, it may be more to a prediction about their strategy.
During a bullish trend, I am sure that they will take profits, of course, even selling them all or even part of the entire amount.
However, they are also big influencers and public figures. They also know how Bitcoin, if they have the mission about BTC, they will hold it for long-term.

They are here for long term. But it does not mean they will not sell their bitoin tomorrow. You have to understand the fact that they are the pioneers of the comtemporary uptrend and many companies have earned more than 300% by holding bitcoin. It is unsual if they not sell their bitcoin for a partial profit then rebuy it at a lower price. We cant not understand precisely anyone mind but we can predict the behavior of the same quality group of poeple.

Sell and buy bitcoin for a long term still count as long term investing, right? So be careful. Remember not to let yourslef being in FOMO or FUD by these montrous whaes

Nope.

You will never know until when they're going to hold and when they will start dumping the bitcoins that they've held. You can easily know who are those for the long term.

Yet, they will still hide when they'll sell.

Well people are saying they will hold for a long time, but i'm pretty sure most of them have a target of profit. Like at what price they will decide to sell, maybe not all of their bitcoin, just some of their investment, gain some profits and then buy bitcoin again. I think only the rich who can hold for long, since they will still have money lingering left, they won't need to worry and can sell their bitcoin in the highest price. But normal people might be forced to sell their bitcoin when they don't have any money again, decided that it's enough just to take that much.

can anyone read people's minds here?
oh this is so absurd, no one could really do that. just as you ask who can read the future?
no one can really do it, everything related to things that are not certain to happen are called predictions. maybe that's what you mean? well, if so we can take advantage of the indicators on the chart to predict price movements. however, when it comes to influencers, it can hit TA, especially those with strong wealth and influence. because of the uncertain price movements that I am less interested in following influencers' leads.
it looks nice because prices can soar, but that unhealthy increase could drop rapidly at any time.

When it comes to selling decisions then this is something that cant be known, even if you do saw those influencers been shilling out that theyre selling but actually they arent doing it literally.

So you cant really tell until the price had made out some significant movement which is neither going up or down.No one can even know on what are the reasons on why the price is rising
up or going down.

Dont make yourself thinking up too much on when those fellas sell off their coins because there's no way that someone could know in regards into their selling
or holding decisions.

So basically it's someone who has no idea what their taking about, but because of their skils tits people want to have whatever they have?

If it wasn't obvious yet: I don't like "social media" and all weird stuff they come up with.
Seriously, its actually getting annoying to see them spout nonsense, that they clearly don't understand, and haven't even given it a second thought about researching what they are promoting. I guess that's the way of the world with social media, get famous people with a large following, and promote something that's not even relevant to their audience.

I do feel there are some "infulencers" which are promoting it off their own back, because they've personally invested in it, but even then this should probably be considered market manipulation, and its them trying to benefit their investment rather than actually believing in it.

Well, that's their bread and butter. Whatever is the mainstream topic, events, investment, and everything circulating in the internet must be scoped by them and create content with only the most basic knowledge they got from the internet.
Others may have invested in some alts or even Bitcoin, but most of them only tackle about crypto investments just to expand the number of their followers/subscribers.

No one knows.  It is the same as I do not know what your plan if you have Bitcoin and at what price are you going to sell them.  But one thing is certain, they will sell it at a profit unless they are weak hands that can be shaken easily once the market crash.  Most of these guys have a target price and a fail safe exit.  Like if BTC surge and hit Y price and that Y price is the target of the BTC holder then he will sell it.  When or how long is unknown for sure.

Cryptocurrencies are currently something that many see as a way to try to get rich, but we still know that not everyone will succeed - not everyone can be a good trader, but not everyone can be their own bank either.

your simple thinking is very precise and clear, and in fact comes back to the person, questioning their proficiency in managing their assets. because if there is no knowledge in managing a portfolio, I think 100 bitcoins will be depleted if they are not owned by those with a merchant mentality.
so, it's not about how much Bitcoin we have, but how smart we can manage Satoshi into 1 whole Bitcoin.

No, it's not possible to know "what's going on in their mind" lol. You can't know when they will sell. They will keep holding and will sell when they want to or reached their profit goal. They will never tell anyone when they are about to sell. If they do so, they would just crash the market before they are even able to sell.
Look at Tesla. They took profit. Did they announce before selling? Nope. They only did after selling and taking the profit. If they announced beforehand, it would be a chaos.

Try the analogy that you currently hold Bitcoin, well what are your goals, and why hold Bitcoin in the long term.

You will find answers to your questions. so do those who go out starting to buy, holding Bitcoin for the long term. maybe the reason we often encounter is that the price of Bitcoin is getting more expensive, and the scarcity of Bitcoin is the trigger for this price scarcity, coupled with a limited supply. the other reason is to build future wealth at a guaranteed Bitcoin price. for social status and others.

I'm not sure they will invest for the long term, in the end, they invest to get profit, and if bitcoin goes River $100k in the next months, a lot of people will sell. Is important to remember the high risk behind bitcoin and altcoins, they can grow on a crazy way, but at the same time, they can have some hard crashes. Just imagine what would happen if someone decides to sell 100,000 BTC, That would make a deep hole in the price, and will be hard for the markets to recover.
Yeah, ideally we want the price to gradually rise, and not take a massive leap. If it went up to 100k, there would be a lot of people selling. It seems the new ballpark figure for "I'll sell at 100k". So, that combined effort would likely bring us a unstable period for Bitcoin. Although, Bitcoin handled 50k fairly well so I might be wrong in that assumption.

However, I do feel the higher, and higher Bitcoin climbs the more, and more people will cash out fearing that is the ceiling. Of course, this is only concerning those that are treating Bitcoin as an investment, which they plan on cashing out eventually back into fiat. Those that use it as a currency will likely keep using it as a currency.
