No, that's a great idea, and something I will implement as soon as possible.

The "send a release command and all the cold wallet coins will get sent to their rightful owners" bit can't be automatic, due to the nature of the "cold" in "cold wallet". I'd have to put the coins from the cold wallet online first, but other than that I like the idea.

Just keep a backup of the wallet outside of the US.

No, that's a great idea, and something I will implement as soon as possible.

I have a suggestion. Have users enter a Bitcoin address for emergencies and have this address displayed on the site so that the user knows its current. (In case they create a new wallet and forget to update the address)

This emergency address will be used if the server gets raided by the police or something else happens, and the admin will send a release command and all the cold wallet coins will get sent to their rightful owners.

Maybe this is a bad idea but I would feel safer knowing there was my address on the system in case the site has to be closed.

you can see on the left side of the stats that the line you are talking about start with "site", so this is the site(house) profit. you can also check the stats tab to see the JD stats
