Last time, you played on 6 pm UTC; that's 11:30 pm here in my local  Undecided I guess I won't be able to participate if that's the time as I have more than a lot of works at that time but if it's earlier than this time, I'm interested to join the Poker Series as I really enjoy playing poker. Will bookmark the thread & wait for an update from you.

I stand with Ukraine.
Today I have successfully registered on betnomi.com, but when I went to Poker section and tried to register there I got this message

Of course I could pick something like Betwrong1 and proceed, but if it's just a bug, I'd rather keep my name.

But it turned out there's more. I decided to read Terms and Conditions carefully and here's what I found there:

It just so happens that I actually live in one of those places. Theoretically I could use VPN(although I don't use it), but then I read in the Withdrawals section:

So, I guess I wouldn't be able to withraw my funds anyway.

This is very frustrating because I want to play in the Series so badly, and now my only hope is that there is a mistake in the Terms and Conditions, and if they were updated I would be able to play.

NOTE: I played in the previous Bitcointalk Poker Series on Betnomi and I won one of them, and then I won a bit more playing poker, and I did successfully withdraw $700 from the site 3 months ago.

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
Should be $10 buy-in is fine I guess since we can have a rebuy. What do you guys think? I'm fine with either Sat or Sunday but just look above @1ron1c seems not fine in it. Should be fine if it's always a weekend series since I myself was busy during the weekdays.

I like the 5 minute turbo blind structure. Would 50K chips then put us at like  a "double stack" sort of start - 200BB . Deepstack poker can be a lot of fun so I don't see a problem with it.

Yeah it would be great to play with 200BB stack format. Its kinda pointless to start with 50k starting stack but only 100BB and 5 minutes blind ( 11 levels in an hour ). Some of Betnomi's tournament has 50k starting stack and 100BB format which is kinda weird though

I have sent a couple ideas to the owner regarding the freeroll/freerolls. Waiting on  a response, but the ideas were 1 freeroll fri, sat, or sunday. The 2nd idea was 1 smaller freeroll each day monday-friday to let users get acquianted with the site.

Either way is fine. If you decided to go with the later option then changing the prize of the freerolls to tickets for the weekends game would be nice instead of just straight smaller cash prizes. All of us regulars would definitely use those cash prizes to play the weekend game but some people might just go straightaway to withdraw those

I think it would be alot of extra work for me due to I'd have to keep track of who knocks out who and what each persons bounty is as I don't believe the Betnomi software is coded for all that.
That makes sense, just wasn't sure what was available for a format.

  • Starting time seems most want the same or near it which was 6pm UTC
  • Starting chip amounts, noone seemed to really have an opinion on this. I would like to go with 50k
  • Blinds, I am thinking 5 minute since we will likely have 50k chips
  • Buyin? somewhere between $10 and $20
  • 1 rebuy sounds cool and builds a prizepool so i'm 100% ok with this
  • Day we are playing? Saturday or Sunday?
  • I think we should make sure there is interest for a weekend series before we start making a weekday series.

If we stick with a 6pm UTC or close to it, I am fine with either day. Saturday makes sense for those in timezones where it would be late evening. I can't remember what we did before but 10/15$ seems like what would accomodate most. rebuys can help the prizepool if people choose to fire that second bullet.... when I suck out on them.

I may or may not be able to play next weekend as I'm at work, but will keep an eye out. The plant has become busier than it used to be so a mid shift tourney might not be in the cards for me anymore; woe is me.

Here is what has been decided so far. We are going to do a freeroll 1st, likely next week/weekend. This will allow some new players to try the site out as well as some users to make a little extra for their bankroll.

I have sent a couple ideas to the owner regarding the freeroll/freerolls. Waiting on  a response, but the ideas were 1 freeroll fri, sat, or sunday. The 2nd idea was 1 smaller freeroll each day monday-friday to let users get acquianted with the site. Those planning on making an account, be nice and contact me for affiliate link

If I remember correctly the last time there was a freeroll before the series too, with a nice prize pool from Betnomi! I believe both ideas are good, I prefer 1 freeroll with a higher prize pool, but I guess it would be better to have more of them and check how many people from here are really interested to play poker!

That mean we have about a week to make some crucial decisions on how we want to play and when.

I like it... almost exactly as before! 50k chips and 5 minutes blinds will make the game more interesting!

I would be interested in a new poker series as well. Wasn't part of it in the past because I mainly played cash games. Things got a bit stale lately, so trying out a tourney should spice things up. As for the buyins it depends a bit on the number of games there will be. I would recommend instead of having a too big buyin, rather add the opportunity to rebuy once or twice. Having more than one bullet makes it more fun for the players and casino still gets their buyins. Will there be twitch broadcasting with commentating again?

I've been playing the Pko games on ACR and they're fun but get you alot of bad calls from users chasing bounty money. I think it would be alot of extra work for me due to I'd have to keep track of who knocks out who and what each persons bounty is as I don't believe the Betnomi software is coded for all that.

There are alot of PKO tournaments running in Betnomi Poker as well so it shouldnt be any issue to arrange one if we all agreed on that ( I've played few of them in the old site ). Besides that, lets use the top ten usual point system even if it is for the PKO tournament to decide the top 9 players for the Grand Finale so it doesnt matter of who knocks out who

I would prefer 5PM but okay with 6PM either, please don't delay more than that. I am fine with any buy-in. Let's go.

Yeah its either 5 or 6PM UTC for me as well. Sticking to the previous schedule would be great

Thanks for the message, yeah I would be glad to take part in the series, would be fun to play with the old buddies once again. It's best to stick with a single game every week, Sunday best, Saturday fine, anything else nah for me. What were the timings previously, 6PM UTC? I would prefer 5PM but okay with 6PM either, please don't delay more than that. I am fine with any buy-in. Let's go.

Thanks for the message. I'd be interested in playing again, as always I would only make what my shcedule allows which usually means about half the games. I do think our best bet for trying to accomodate the majority of timezones is to try and go with a Friday Saturday as it would allow most people with jobs not to worry about work the next day, should it be latter in the tournament.

Whatever structure the majority likes is good with me. Here would be my ideal I guess.

8 minute blinds, allow late reg and maybe 1 rebuy should you bust out early. I think it would be neat to play some PKO bounty style games as well. Perhaps that could be part of the sponsored portion to increase the prizepool per tourney. My only ask would be that if there is a Championship format to the series we offer up 2 dates for the participants to decide on for the game.

I am also not opposed to playing a turbo format if we are interested in mixing up th egmaes potentially between weeks. Those are 5 minute blinds generally and can be fun, especially if you start out deepstack.

I'm considering alot of different things when it comes to blinds and late reg. I don't mind allowing 1 rebuy either as it just makes the prize pool bigger. I like 5 minute blinds as well with maybe a 50k starting stack?

The Alliance Of Bitcointalk Translators - ENG>POR
I want everyone to post their thoughts so we can try to get as many in as we can. Everyone may not be able to play every week but a person can miss a game and still be ok.

There will be for sure a game on the weekend, that seems to be when the most people are off. I would like to see a game throughout the week as well, but that's gonna depend on the interest shown.

Just an FYI, I was given the ok to make this super large if I wanted. Just something to think about, but this could get as large as 5k.
Hmm, ok, no problem @yahoo, thanks for your feedback!!

I also agree and believe that it is more valid and interesting to play at least 1 game over the weekend.

In relation about the time, I think it's interesting to have a vote and that it's an interesting time for everyone.
ps: that's my opinion.

I was just told I could go huge if I see potential. I haven't really worked out the numbers and how big the prize pool will be at this time.
Well, if it's yahoo I can trust that this will be huge and you can pull it off. Whatever might be the pool this time around I think the participants may still choose to opt in as I see the excitements from the individuals especially those who was part of the last BPS. Thanks for the response.

Crypto for the Crypto Throne!

Previously we were playing around 6pm UTC which was good for some, but not others

This was not comfortable time for me. I would like to play at 7pm UTC, because often i wasn't able to come on 6 pm. And yeah, Friday or Saturday in priority. At Sunday i'm mostly busy.
I think some players could register and show up a little late since chip stacks are decent sized. An hour late wouldn't cost you many chips if the series started at the same time as last. Regardless I will keep your thoughts in mind.

No man, late reg is not an option, because it much harder to play after 30-45 minutes after start. You need to play more fast and aggresive or blinds will take you out. At least, we can try at 6.30 PM (as i remember our games often lasted like 2 hours so it's not a big deal to finish 30-1 hour later)

Late registration available this time? there was an issue before with late registration ( poker series on another site ) as some players think that anyone that joined in later were taking advantage of it to get a better chance of getting to the final table ( reaping more points )

I'm thinking about making it a bigger starting stack, something like 50000 and 8 minute blinds. Thoughts? Maybe 5 min blinds?

8 minutes blinds are okay but totally not with 5 mins blinds as we are playing with probably only 10-15 players so it would only take a while before most people are short stacked which would make the game a little bit boring as most players will be forced to go all in with it. Well this also depends on the BB of the stacks, 200 BB max should be fine I think

Hooray ... finally we will meet again at the poker table.

In any case, I’m with you, since I’m not limited by time, so decide for yourself who will be more comfortable and how many times a week we will play ..

I'll also try to write to a couple of forum friends, maybe we'll see fresh blood.

I would like interested parties to use my affiliate link, but it is not mandatory.

Well, that's for sure huge. You mean that's the max prize pool they want to sponsor? Not gonna miss this even I'm not a pro poker player, just in it for fun with the forum individuals here.
