Like i see PSG has similar idea
Just two weeks ago, top French league team Paris Saint-Germain, revealed plans to issue its own cryptocurrency as a way to incentivize participation from its fans around the world. That project is also being conducted in partnership with Socios via a similar Fan Token Offering.

In fact, Socios indicated in today's release that it hopes to engage with more soccer clubs, possibly as many as 50, going forward.

Maybe will be possible to trade FC Juventus token against PSG token lol

This is going be interesting going from here on out, with this we will see a lot of more clubs wanting to make their own coins which will lead to fans of clubs wanting to make their coins the best and most valuable. I think that this is going to help improve the crypto market and the amount of investors that are coming into the market, it will help with mass adoption.

I am sure that by the time other football clubs see this initiative, they too might want to lunch theirs, but i hope they will not do it for their selfish gain, but to ensure that their fans benefit from it and not their fans alone, but also the crypto world in entirety.

Yes Juventus coins is going to be very useful for the club and the fans as it has fantastic features
It also enhances the popularity of crypto currency across several countries , several supporters of the club and the decision could prompt other clubs to also have a club token

Questions though is that, how does this benefit the whole Blockchain world ?

Another way to get fans to enrich their ridiculously rich clubs and make their football players even wealthier. Can't see any real purpose for this, but i'm sure others will follow. Can't complain though, it will bring more investment into crypto

Football club Juventus, in the last few years, makes quite ambiguous actions. After signing a sponsorship agreement with Jeep, they changed their logo (to be more associated with Jeep). In the summer they bought Cristiano Ronaldo, now I read the information that they want to release their cryptocurrency. Lost the identity of the club, all put on maximum income and HYIP. Its really a great news for the whole cryptocurrency world. This juventus news will also entice other clubs in the world to also look into tokenizing their footballing affairs. I hope the ICO will be well organized so that it won't turn out to be irrelevant in crypto world.

I see no real meaning in this case for the release of my own token. Another reason to cash in on their fans against the background of a general hobby for the cryptocurrency. There are so many scammers around that it all reminds me of another soap bubble. Hope I am mistaken.

Well, it is not necessarily a bad idea when it comes to using cryptocurrency to build a community and get everyone engaged within the ecosystem.

Moreover, as good as it sounds and as fantastic as it is for awareness purposes, I will still say it is not really something that much innovative to have warranted having a cryptocurrency for. Anyhow though, it is still a welcome development, when it comes to having some real life use cases for cryptocurrency if we want to go the sentimental way.

However, it is a good start when we want to look at bigger players hitting the crypto space as the more the merrier for development and a huge market in the long run.

Juventus team have a lot of fans throughout the world and anything they do related to crypto can be of a great visibility for the crypto world. Although they are only offering a token, people who don't know crypto will become curious and start digging a bit about crypto to learn a few things.

This is a very good thing now that the price of bitcoin is plummeting down and shows no signs of recovery and all our hopes for a higher bitcoin price in December seems not achievable. Bitcoin and crypto in general need a boost right now and this action by Juventus is a good one.

Well, we can also remind that there was one Italian club bought with bitcoin, despite the fact that it happened in serie C, now we see Juventues, which is in Serie A is launching his crypto token. I wonder why do they need to use cryptocurrency in this approach thought? But chances us they are doing this because of the hype in the market and maybe the trend of cryptocurrencies as well, this will of course be classified as a utility token but I don't think it will be a hit even on the fans itself but of course it will always depend on how strong their fan base are as some fans even support anything what their club is doing. Also they must open other uses aside from voting like purchasing jerseys and memorabilias from the club to make it more useful.

It'll be great to see those tokens being used as a way for the fans to buy stuff from the club, or even see the token in a platform where the fans can buy tickets to see a match. I actually want to see clubs letting the fans use the tokens for something other than to "be heard" as the article says.

So far, this sounds kinda lame, I was expecting some real use case for the token, but it's just the beginning and who knows, though, maybe if the fans like this token idea, the clubs will eventually let the fans use the token for something else. All in all, it's good news for the crypto world as football are starting to embrace this new technology, but there's potential for more things.

Agreed. Just seems like a gimmick to me. Bitcoin and blockchain was meant to be the future. Now crypto has just been hijacked by scams, get rich quick schemes and gimmicks trying to cash in on something new or the current buzz. I haven't looked into this much in depth, but the possibility of fans voting seems interesting, but do they have to pay to do this or purchase the coins? If so then it's just another money spinner for them more likely rather than anything truly to support or benefit the fans.
