This isn't a good investment because it's not close to the dev's target? What fucking logic is this? Do people not realize by putting in their BTC it helps get the total funds closer to the dev's target?  Roll Eyes

This kind of people tend to miss the train. When they missed it, they will accuse the coin as unfairly distributed. Well that is a typical scene here in cryptoland.

The DEV here wish to make their venture a success. JWL is the fuel that engine their economy.

One of the most important thing I like about this is that the fact that the coin is simple and easy for laymen: it is a payment method. JWL simplicity is the DEVs aim for their current users.  It is a bridge between real world and game world similar like paypal/ visa. Some new user do get overwhelm with BTC and think that it is difficult and for techie.

IMHO JWL maybe the best way to verify gamer age since it can only be bought via exchanges and paypal. Both which do have age restriction. Due to blockchain technology where every transactions is recorded, this will curb any suspicious underground/black market exchange. JWL project may solve this problem unknowingly Smiley

Personally as a speculator one thing I really like about the idea of Jewel which I doubt will happen but you know it's one of those "it could" and I appreciate the devs not trying to pitch it as a false hope promise like so many alts do is that if Jewels gets substantially popular namely if the game Rebirth produces is popular, there's a good chance that we may see other games from other companies that decide to utilize Jewels.

It's actually a great way to regulate black market trading where players sell items for cash to other players and potentially get scammed, instead the game's company itself can simply act as escrow for Jewels.

Being scammed while trading item with player is the most heart breaking thing ever. There are always those gamer who just want a short cut and gloat about their quick "success". As I mentioned, JWL project starts with a very simple idea- JWL as in game payment, but unknowingly solve many problem of modern gaming  scene: scam, black market, unsecured transaction, age restriction (legal matters) just to name a few. By implementation of JWL, the game that Pro4never network will indirectly inherit the concept of "decentralisation", in which loved by many cryptopfan:

1. Game transaction between players are done on secure blockchain with permament record.
2. If Pro4never introduce escrow during item trading, it will curb scamming.
3. JWL is held by the owner, not the network/ company.
4. JWL is able to be transfer and exchange without any geographical constrain (Online)

There a lot of game coin lately but many of these coin try to become the universal coin. It like trying to become the BTC of game. JWL on the other hand starts with a simple implementation that the DEV can control and monitor. Its a good start. If this project gain traction, it may be my best investment ever. XD

That P2P in-game trading (auction house as well would be neat) is certainly one of the best features someone could implement - it takes care of scammers, gives incentive to play and spend coins as well to make more coins and also to speculate on items of higher value. I really hope Rebirth will also be made by Chris next year.

I agree this is definitely a huge step up from the gaming coins already on BCT. The closest thing resembling thing in terms of actually being useful for something is BitCrystals but they're aiming for an entirely different sort of game / market space. Can't wait to see how this turns out!!

Oooohhh, ok I understand now! Thanks for your explanation. Will the Jewels website be launched directly after the ICO or will there be some time in between the ICO finishing and its lanch?

The jewels website would be launched when the gambling games are ready. Developing the gambling games is what the funds from the ICO will be used for. As referenced in the development timeline, here's what we're looking at.

Web foundation: This must be done before we can do anything else obviously and involves authorizing wallets and linking them to game accounts, handling currency transactions securely, etc. Ready by ICO end.
Web Shop: Integrated into apex/heroes it allows players to spend jewels on in-game items/cosmetics/boosts. Ready by ICO end to allow for instant demand for the coin.
Heroes Launch: Huge step up from apex in terms of features, content and potential market. Ready by ICO end (+- 2 weeks). If there's any delays we'll be letting people know. No major issues are known currently.
Provably Fair Gambling [BETA]: First set of gambling games would be added to Heroes/Apex for testing. Timeline is under 2 months after ICO end (need the funds from ICO to fund development and hire an artist)
Provably Fair Gambling: [RELEASE]: Website + Mobile apps released for the gambling games. This would happen aprox 1 month after the beta and would expand our market to those not playing our servers.

After this point development continues and will focus on the following key points (timeline not fixed, depends on other factors).

-Expanded P2P Trading: Players can list their items and trade for in-game currency or jewels. Accessible in-game + on heroes website.
-Expanded Gambling: The first set of gamblign games will primarily be slot machines and dice games. Once released, we will work on developing more complex games such as blackjack and roulette where we can do things more complex than simple player vs house gambling.
-Expanded Accessibility: The more non crypto users we can attract to the gambling mobile app/website the better. We will be introducing things such as referral rewards, daily login bonuses, freeplay mode and more.
-Expanded Partnerships: Partnering with other servers, other games and other websites to integrate our games into their projects to expand the reach of jewels will allow us to keep growing past our own projects while introducing more gambling games over time to keep things fresh.

Note: I left rebirth off of this list as it will be developed separately and its dev timeline is less static.

Will the sites interface for gambling resemble what we see in game or will it simply be two skins of a website  where one is for the game one is for the website-only?

I think there's some confusion. The room I just showed is not a website, it is a map in game with various NPCs you can talk to. The new gambling games will be made available in that room by adding a new model representing the game (slot machine, blackjack table, etc) and when clicked it will pop open the game itself in a html5 web view.

The website to gamble outside of the game will be its own dedicated site where you will be able to view all the different gambling games, find out more about them and open them to play. The games themselves will look the same regardless of if played from inside the game or out but by necessity the actual gambling website will look completely different than the in-game view.

Players understand that in game they need to move around the world to find a table to play at, on a website that's just not how things work and it would be designed accordingly.

The images of the casino room are the way the original game Conquer Online is, some people don't seem to get this is just a private server of the game but with crypto being one of the currencies in it. I think that would be awesome since I always wanted to play Games with real life currencies. Only know of 1 you can do that in right now but it isn't crypto based.

Maybe I missed it, but what is the deadline to invest? I'll try to get at least 1 btc into this

This is true, but the main purpose of this project isn't to develop anything related to Conquer. It just shows that the dev knows what he's doing and not making blind promises he can't deliver on. It's too often I read ICOs promising to do things that we know will never be done. Hell, someone should start an ICO to cure cancer and aids and say they'll split the patent rights with investors. I'm sure people will throw 100's of BTC at that instead of something real and plausible  Roll Eyes

Yes i agree. Most ICO starts with a promise that has no or unstable working project. This one will immediately start with a use case and build upon an existing project. Pro4never network plan for a much bigger growth.  This ICO is similar to an IPO  of a good and solid company. A solid ICO like this need no bounties, free coin or any bait just like when a company offer their share to the market. They share a common trait: Let the investor invest in a solid investment. Thanks pro4nver network for giving us the chance to be part of this growth.

I may need to liquidate to BTC fast my other coin holdings for JWL. The ETC/ ETH drama is quite a headache to me lately. No worries, I Still have time till 1 sep Smiley

Given this, I feel like most ICOs should start heading in the direction where they accept both BTC and ETH and possibly other stable coins like LTC. I've had to make some tough decisions as well because I don't think this is an opportunity I should pass up especially given a lot of my youth was playing these said games I see this as a chance to finally properly support one.

This ICO comes at a very unexpected time. During this storm of altcoin crisis. Each time when I read an ICO, the graphic is great, video great but when it comes at actual use case "MAYBE" and "SHOULD" in X years. This ICO is very different. The DEV takes criticism and suggestion very well. They are willing to make this ICO investor friendly and even willing to adjust their time table to make this project doable. A sign of a very good project management.

Lol, yeah I know what you mean. I think part of the timing has to do with what they were saying in the start which was they weren't closely following the crypto communities so I'm sure they weren't aware of the shit storm they walked into. It's definitely unfortunate timing but I have faith that they will raise the funds needed. Not sure if you noticed, but I saw at some point it looks like someone threw in 10 BTC so even the whales are starting to take notice of this. I'm sure there are a few lurking. Meanwhile you have the noobs like this

Good caution sir, I thought this would be a good investment, but I see the fund is less than the dev's target, i think he will give up his project.

Those maps and the poker event are from the official game yes. They asked about having a in-game casino room so I was showing what we already have in place. That's where we'd be making the provably fair jewels gambling games available to players (that way it feels cohesive within the existing game) while also having them available on their own crypto gambling site for those who have no interest in conquer.

The deadline is the 1st, full details at www.ApexConquer.com/ico.php

Official Jewels Dev Account.
This coin is good but the fund is short for such a big project. Maybe you won't get your target btc, but devs will you continue if the target is not met?

I don't think chris will give up on his game making but maybe no jewels if the ico does not hit it's target.
 Cry

Will he refund the ico fund if the ico does not hit his target? I think this is necessary if he aborts the project due to fund.

Just to requote and highlight our stance from the OP:
Quote
We have a minimum goal of 200 BTC ($120,000.00 USD). It should be noted that we are also seeking means of investment capital outside of Bitcoin Talk as well as negotiating private deals. Discussions regarding private deals and partnerships which will not affect the Jewels ICO or distribution. Strictly speaking, we are looking to have a starting capital of $120,000 or more which will come from the ICO as well as outside investors. If at the end even after factoring in outside investments we have a budget less than $120,000 USD we will first seek to establish a new roadmap for development based on the available budget. Once we know this, we will then publish this information publicly and allow those who invested to vote weighted by their investment on whether we should proceed. If the majority votes "no" implying that they wish to be refunded then Jewels project will not proceed and we will begin the process of issuing a refund of all BTC. On the contrary, if the majority votes "yes" implying they wish to proceed despite the change in timeline which likely implies delayed schedules we will continue distribution and proceed with Jewels as intended.

Hope that helps answer your question!

Unpaid signature.
I don't think there should be any bounties - this coin is powerful enough on its own for investors to chip in.

Yeah I agree. Plus no one should get any coins for free.

It is definitely good enough without bounties and is probably best it is done without giving so many free coins to dump on the market.

All coins recently have gave away like 1% of the total supply, guess it's ok if they have that much.

The only ones really to lose out are the investors because if the sell pressure it creates.
