It's nice to see the BTC price poking its head above $606 for a change. If that SOB ever gets around $800 or so, I'll crank up my three S7's and find SOMEWHERE to plug them in! Smiley

In the mean time, nice to see four blocks today!!!!!!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Let's hope we can do that on a semi-regular basis even with our lowered pool hash rate. As I mentioned earlier, the lower pool hash rate means a higher block percentage for us miners.
Mine on and let's get some Saturday BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! Smiley Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

For those of you who host your miners, what's the consensus on Cryptoboreas in Labrador? Any issues with them connecting to Kano? Wanna make sure everything is legit and kosher before I send out my miners.

Since July, Juvia and her minions are hosted at hydro-powered complex in a undisclosed location in Labrador.

The main guys - Alan and Akm have been very supportive of my special requests and deliver good service.

For large farms like Juvia's - she has her own network subnet, power distribution etc - which I have secure access half-way across the world...

They implemented a script that monitors hash levels, create reports, etc and can trigger reboots if needed.
Powercycles are also remotely controlled amongs other things.

I also have direct communications with them via Viber, Skype and mobile-phone.

Pool 1 and Pool 2 are pointed to kano main node and backup node respectively. Pool 3 to a PPS pool.

There are many good providers in US too, so you should compare thoroughly before deciding.

I have three machines there and hold CryptoBoreas in high regard. They've been responsive, and I've not had any connection issues that weren't shared by the entire pool...ie., none associated with them in particular. My machines have been there three months now, and I'm happy. I'll send more machines when I can. You can't beat the price.

I would love to add some more hash power, but I'm maxed at ~50TH or so. No more renting for me. Too much uncertainty and no return on investment.
I do certainly wish we could add 5 or 6 more PH to the pool. Sad to see it so low. But on the bright side, I'm getting a higher block %. But these one or two block days - or no block days! are painful. Hope to see things improve soon! Smiley

What the F... is going on. Keep mining peeps. 38PH is not enough, we need minimum 45PH to keep those BTC rolling.
Been struggeling with MRR the whole day and had 4 rig rentals cancelled since they could not connect to KANO.
2 x EU and 2 x US.
Just tried again with a small rental of 30th for 48 hours to see if I could get this damn things to work. Used MRR for years now and never had these issues before.
Crank those miners up in full speed peeps, we need the hash  Wink

I'm cranked and mining.

Sorry for this little bit of OT: Today is my last day of work & there is no way I'm gonna finish everything I wanted and I have a "table or view does not exist" oracle error coming from a really old app that I tried to migrate to a new server (and no source code - Ugh!) & I checked all the tables & views and they DO exist so it's making me crazy. Well, I'm just gonna have to leave that puzzle to the new guy...he's younger, smarter, & better looking than me (the punk - hahaha Grin) so he'll figure it out.

Best to you, friend. New job, or like some of us old(er) diamond dwarfs (miners), retired?  Roll Eyes

Wow...how things have changed in just a few years. The 1K btc that I lost at Mt Gox was entirely mined on an HP laptop via the cpu. The first six months of my return to mining was done with a Radeon gpu (this was before the S2). Either of those approaches now is somewhat ludicrous, unless one's intent is simply to burn electricity, or satisfy an obsessive urge, or one is content to simply solo mine with virtually no chance of success.

Anyway...

Mine on...

Wonder if something is wrong with KANO Vs. MRR.
I have tried 4 different rigs now, both EU and US and many different ports and none of them works.
Is MRR also banned now ? or is something different ?
Right now im trying port 443, since this is the only port I get just a little response from.
No idea - I don't ban anything MRR directly, but I guess MRR is all direct from miners to the pool, not via a proxy, so it would depend on the miner IP if they were actually banned.

Anyone who points a CPU/GPU miner at the pool get's their IP banned, and anyone who tries to ddos the web or run scripts doing multiple logins to the web site gets banned also.

lastly, if they mine via a Tor or a public VPN, I block a lot of that since adding latency on purpose means I don't want those miners on the pool either and anything problematic that shows up on a VPN will get that VPN IP banned and thus anyone else using the same VPN will get blocked.

Holy cow! I've been buried in work all this week so I've had no time to check the board or stats & I see we had a 715% block! Yowza! Kinda like I slept through an earthquake, but glad I missed all the "fun".

Ok, we got one in the basket this morning so let's get a couple more and start the climb back to green!
