Not -ck ... I chose the names, in my code Smiley
They're here in the code of course also: https://bitbucket.org/ckolivas/ckpool/src/389978dcec1c038ac67e12309346144aae747237/src/ckdb.c?at=master&fileviewer=file-view-default#ckdb.c-4161
A few are random characters, coz I was like: "... damn who can I think of that starts with that letter ..."
But a lot of them are fav characters in their respective shows.

That's awesome. Is akatsuki a character, or is it the organization from a certain ninjanime?

For the lazy folks:
Code:

Kano tabulated a YTD block count for them awhile back -- I think "elen" is the top blocker!

Common Juvia!!!

some of you PMed me about this Juvia thing  Cheesy

so here goes, this is for sharing and amusement only, so no haters please  Grin

If you go to the worker shift section - each shift is named after an anime character - I can only imagine that -ck is a big anime fan! So my first block ever in kano was on the JUVIA shift #394569 in January I think. And it started a lucky run for me in mining... soon after I got a solo block #400770 at solo.ckpool.org... where I saw 25 BTC into my wallet one lucky morning.... and a few more things happened.... not appropriate to mention them here because it has something to do with ETH....

So from that moment, I decided to use 4 Juvia themes to power my rental strategy (after learning how the pool works and regular discussions in the forum). Electricity is expensive in my country, I stopped at 7 x S7s, and in progress to move them out to hosted DC... anyways, cut a long story short:

If you see QueenJuvia (FR), LadyJuvia (DE), LuckyJuvia (US) and PrincessJuvia (US) - they are all from my rental pool.

Some of you asked me about my rental strategy too, well... it's not foolproof but it keeps me in line with 5ND and I do get good returns during our lucky period - and we had many of those until now.... Huh I also practise a strict 40%-30%-30% allocation of all proceeds, to rental, savings, expenses fund respectively and follow 2 rules diligently, never rent when NH & MRR pricing goes crazy high and never rent beyond whats allocated for that week... (sounds like good advice if you go to the casinos)

At this time, where we are missing the big irons to get us blocks, I will try to push more hash to the pool to help... but I can't do this forever although we have pretty goods rental rates at NH now - because - my rental strategy is designed to capitalise on lucky streaks and not to be the main bearer of petahash for the pool. Once I finish my allocated rental funds for this week (Wed), I have to pass the baton to cytline (he has real HW!) ... two of Juvia's minions have just finished hash should drop by now.

Keep calm, and keep on mining!

This is a test.... BTC gatekeeper will send us a few more blocks to survive this BTC drought!

Go Big or Go Home.....
Those were a few Avalon farms that seem to have mostly disappeared since the Avalon sale.
They were actually Avalon themselves.

Kano, since as you said the PH's were coming from Avalon themselves, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that the new owners wanted the hash pointed toward another pool, i.e. a Chinese pool.
Actually one of the big pools could have helped raise some of the capital for the purchase contingent on where the power was pointed.
Just a thought.

They couldn't be that DUMB.

I see HaoBTC has finally started mining for themselves.  Looks like they will have about 5% of the total hashrate.  About time...

This is brutal.  Where did our anchor with 12 PH go?

They are still here but only running at 264TH for whatever reason. That high PH is sure missed.

Yeah also a pity about the timing.

The 5minute pool hash rate peak the other day during the ~12hr failover was actually 80.4PH/s (2016-06-12 13:30 UTC)
The failover miners got 3 blocks during that failover, so it was all was good with that.

But yeah the timing of the end of the failover and most of that Avalon gear going away meant a big drop down to less than 40PH.

Long blocks happen, nothing we can do about them, and a greater than 400% block is expected about once every 55 blocks anyway.
I actually am glad it didn't happen during the failover, since then many would have been wondering if the failover miners were ok or not.
Heh, and the block was JUST under 400% Smiley (~392%)
Also a good reward block with more than 3% txn fees since it was also a 50 minute network block.
4 Payouts confirmed.

... and remember, after halving that 3% txn fees would be 6% txn fees, since we pay txn fees to miners and we don't have a PPS or lower limit on the total payout. Pool is of course 0.9% fees on that total, as everyone knows.
