I'll be doing a ckpool restart in about 6.5 hours.
I've been getting problems with it on and off for a while and it needs a restart to reset everything.
Nothing to do with blocks of course, just internal issues that a restart will clean up.
Basically a restart shortly after I wake up.
Most miners will just see a reconnect, but a small % will fail over and then fail back within 5 minutes unless your miner is buggy.
I'll post again just before I do it, but expect it to be at 21:00 UTC
I'll also plan to do a CKDB restart on the shift summary after that (which will be at least 21:15 if not later)
The CKDB restart will be an outage for a few minutes while I do a database table cleanup for workinfo
No problem with it, just the size, and I've made ckdb changes I put live a while back, to stop it growing as fast as it was, but the database table itself needs a 'tidy up' to regain all the wasted space available since the change.
Again, I'll post around 21:00 (in about 6.5 hours) to let you know more accuratey when it will be.

I'll be restarting ckpool in 15 minutes - that block woke me an hour earlier and I fell asleep again
CKPool restart was at 22:02:57
Hash rate has recovered back to ~40PH, so I guess the other few PH were rentals that can't handle a stratum reconnect (as usual)
I had to do a CKDB restart in there also, at 22:07:24, it got way out of sync with the restarted CKPool so restarting CKDB reset the synchronisation and all was ok.
CKDB restart completed at 22:21:20 (14 minutes) which is good timing since it did ~80 minutes of reprocessing.
Anyone wondering about what that means ...
Basically, a CKDB restart means it works out the last shift that was processed and completed in the disk database, then reprocesses all data from the start of the hour that shift was in, skipping the completed shift data, then reprocessing everything after it, until it syncs back up with CKPool.
I didn't do the disk database cleanup I was planning to do, that will be next time I need to restart CKDB (whenever that is in the future)
