how can I possibly test out renting with all these blocks??

so far for 2 days of testing the average profit sits above 50% (even with big gaps in renting cos price too high)

Because of the gaps - my rental will now last for about 3days - not the 2 days I targeted

In addition to this I have a solid bank of 5ND that will last for a day and a bit after I stop renting

I am dumbfounded........... (but realise it won't always be like this)

What I would really like to see is a block found by a renter - have renters found block/s?

FECK - another block?

can't believe how bad my timing was to test out rentals.

Started just over a day ago - rented @ 0.0024-0.0025

so far - because of all these blocks its made a 45% return on what I spent on
rented hash...(got 145% back)

hardly a good test at all (HAHA)

Now price is too high for further testing - so I will just wait it out.

The crazy renters are back on WH renting multiple PH raising the prices..... Grrrrrrrr.
Damnit.

I hate to kill my rental but I'm not price-chasing. It was running for the past two days at .0026 without problems.
%#$###@@(*^&@

Edit: I shall take this opportunity to lower my bid price even lower. It will come back after their BTC's are burned up.

Same here.
I got lucky and got in before all of these blocks were found. The rental had about a day and a half remaining.
I'll wait till the price drops and my order is picked up again @ .0024 or so.

The past couple of days have been pretty good - price-wise. Had everything at 0.0025 (or below). Perfect timing as this is the "steadiest" my rental 5ND has been in quite some time. Been renting through the recent reddish patch, so today's block party brought me back up to break-even, and a tiny bit of profit. With that, I feel ok letting the rentals go idle - no need to play the game and chase the price up to something that'll just be unprofitable.

I hope everyone remember this massive luck we are getting today and keep it in mind when we have bad luck.
No. I demand Kano investigate the cause of this massive luck streak as there must be something wrong in the code or China must be doing something bad or DDoSing themselves or backdooring bitcoin for us or someone's siphoning blocks and channeling them into our pool or they're doing a block withhold resubmit unattack or something.

I think ckolivas was on to something here...I think someone has been doing a block withhold resubmit unattack on us over the past 2 days...our luck has been too good! LOL  Grin

EDIT: Most definitely all the rats and rentals will start jumping back on when they see the crazy performance we're having now!  Cheesy

EDIT2:  Update...the 100% expected average is 0.00258894 BTC/TH/Day and the Kano CKPool is now at an average of 0.00276803 BTC/TH/Day.

That would put us at 106.92% for May as of that 8th block!  Cheesy

You have to ask for a manual payout if you want your balance, if it's more than a few (bazillion) dollars.
I only pay to the address on the account and no you can't remove it.
I know the "sweep up all the dust" code is something that will be addressed some day in the future.  I was wondering if there wasn't a simpler way to do something in the interim, like if a single block reward is greater than 10,000 satoshi then that payment sweeps up all the account dust?  I dunno, just a random thought I had just now...

One really cool thing is the block activity over the past 4 days has bumped the May pool performance into the positive territory.  At the current difficulty the 100% expected average is 0.00258894 BTC/TH/Day and the Kano CKPool is currently at an average of 0.00271960  BTC/TH/Day.

That would put us at 105.05% currently after all of the ugly red we experienced earlier in the month!  Cheesy

I love it! Thanks for the analysis.

We're on our way to "greening up" the 100 block stats for a fully green stats page! We can do it!

Unrelated: I don't want to let my rentals die, but I'm always wary of renting through a diff change. Not cause of the pool, but cause it seems risky and NH rates are always barely at PPS break-even to begin with... Might have to let them cool for a few days and come back. Trusty S3 will continue to chug along in my office in the meantime.

All we need to boost the 100 Block percentage is hit 7 more blocks...that will drop a 471% block and a 411% block out of the calculation.  One more block after that will drop a 295% block out of the calculation and the percentage for the Last 100 Blocks will soar!  Grin

Of course.. just my luck.

We get back into the green and have some really good block days and of course i have most of my machines down for the whole week due to family being in town for a wedding. how am i supposed to hit ROI if family thinks they can crash at my house for free room/board when they are in town.

managed to keep 2 batch 7s running using wifi adapters and stashing them in the garage so its not a total lose this week but still sucks to be down.

Who says the room and board has to be free?!  recoup your costs, this should be seen an opportunity!

i look at it as an investment in future free accommodations for myself. the family that is staying with me lives in Isle of Man where they hold the TT race. Planning on going next year and going to stay with them, since they live right on part of the course.

Hello fellow miners! I'm quite happy after a 9-block day and 5 blocks today with plenty of hours left  Grin

I have a question about CKPool payouts: I joined the pool in april, and I haven't set a payout address yet. I wanted to add up a few BTC before requesting payout.

If I set a payout address now, will I receive the total rewards I have in the pool, or do I have to request a manual payout?

Also, can I remove the payout address after receiving the payout? I would like to add up a bit again.  Smiley

Thanks, keep on mining!
