I was wondering about DE because I had an unusually high invalid rate there earlier today.

I have some miners on DE node as first link  and others on stratum.kano.is main adress.

Ping of DE node IP is best for me (50 ms against 120ms for main site IP), but i have more invalid on DE node than main node,(typically +0.15% on DE node) i don't know why:

DE node often give me 0.2 to 0.4% invalid
Main node gives me between 0 and 0.2% invalid

Logically it's should be the opposite but it's not that!

Do you have same problem?

I'm in BTC XTC
Three blocks in confirmation, yeah baby! (if just for a moment)
Yeah, we're certainly doing our part in trying to keep the next difficulty jump to a minimum!  Undecided
Time to turn up the mojo, and set the "solvedblockdiffavg" parameter less than 1.0 while we're at it!  Cheesy

Been having some minor network issues on the DE and SG nodes again over the last few hours.
The miner counts and hash rates have stayed up but I gather that Linode is still being DDoSed everywhere all over the planet.
I guess the only point of my post is the comment to make sure you have backups set in your miners if the DE or SG nodes do drop everyone off like DE did yesterday for half an hour.

The last four blocks world-wide was found through Antpool, all within the last hour.  Thats a run of good luck I would say.

Selling my Antminer S7, $475 for forum members.  Ideally pickup or deliver in the Boston area.  This box has the latest firmware and has reliably delivered 4.7TH/s on Kano.

Bitcoin also accepted of course.  Smiley

we need to grow. this feast or famine sucks. how about just a full plate every day.

Stay strong and keep the vision for the month...we are ahead of our production from March of 129 blocks or 4.16 blocks/day average.  So far this month we are at 86 blocks or 4.53 blocks/day.  It will work out over the longer stretches.  Smiley

Yup...my point as well. I don't rent hash, so that is not a worry. I run projections generally based on 30 days...and then don't depend on them.  Grin

This is not a hobby/interest/livelihood for the faint of heart, methinks...as my late Pop's wall hanging said, "Old age is not for sissies..."

I'm beginning to understand that now! Imua... (onward)

i know in the end it all works out and we are above average. just hard to predict the future. i have some btc burning a hole in my pocket that i want to spend on a rental but dont want to lose my ass if i guess on the wrong side of 5nd/luck.

2 of 6 of my NiceHash rentals (pointed to DE) can't connect ("Remote pool terminated connection. Trying to reestablish soon.").  My WestHash  orders (pointed to the main pool) are all fine.

Unfortunately, my best order on NH is included in what is down-- I had a sweet order at or very near the top of 0.0027 that would be running now.  It likely has lost its place and will return at the bottom once it comes back alive.
It's been fine since before I last posted about it.
I guess they force you to reconnect if anything happens.

Yes, if the connection to the pool is interrupted for a certain amount of time, they will drop your order down into the dreaded dead zone.  When the connection is reestablished, most of the time it goes back to the same rate level but you lose any position you may have earned.  It really doesn't happen very often when you're pointed to any of the kano nodes.

I was afraid of that-- it appears these two became stuck and didn't come back when the others did.  I hope NH enjoys their extra 8 cents (the non-refundable 0.0001 part of the two dead orders).
