Well, there used to be retrocalc.net but it's dead.  I have a program that I wrote that does basically the same thing... It's not online, it's on my laptop.  However, if you want to send me the dates (start/end) and hash rates, I'll return the expected earnings for you.

Excellent, appreciate the help. I'll send you the dates and miners via PM.

Thanks,

Nice block action kicking in! But a question a little off topic, I have a bunch of miners that I got at different times and I'm trying to see which ones are close to ROI (if thats possible), not factoring power costs. Just strait earnings on each miner vs. what I paid for the HW. I know I can use a Excel sheet to figure that out, but wanted to see if anyones knows of a website calculator that looks at the PPS earnings historically to calculate earnings? I know I made more here then PPS and I can use ZACH's site to get my total's but I want to look at it per miner. Want to plug in the date I put it in service and its' hash rate and then have it tell me what the box made to date.

If anyone knows of such an online tool, please let me know. BTW - Been on Kano since June 18,2015 but I'm looking to calculate ROI on HW since October 2015

Thanks,

I don't really need to calculate based on Kano payment per miner, I'm just looking for an online calculator that looks at PPS payment X hash rate historically based on actual past PPS values. Again, want to see what a specific miner has made (PPS) since a specific date till today.

RIP: S5, A faithful device long time
The "Mining Rewards" page "N Range" says how long it is for each block we find (that you got a reward ... for me that's every block - I've never had a 1Nd or 5Nd that I've been below dust)

I have a question. Why 5ND?  I like it cause I keep getting paid even when I have to stop mining, but why not 2,3 or 4? Just curious. Thanks

Edit- Also has it always been 5ND from the start? Will the number change based on future pool size? I'm done now  Wink
I don't like (and I guess most don't like?) mining and getting rewarded nothing for it Smiley
5Nd means it takes a > 500% block for that to happen.
CDF:
Code:
0.99326205300091  500.000%  1 in 148.4
So back when I changed it, 148 blocks was quite a while, so was rare.
The 'unfair' way I changed to 500% at the time was to the advantage of the people who didn't leave the pool when I changed it.

Making it higher means the 'abstract ramp' takes longer.
Again back when I changed it, the ramp was longer.

The number itself simply reduces the reward variance. The bigger it is, the lower the variance.
Too big means it takes too long.
5 seemed a good middle ground.

I was wrong I thought it was always 5nd.

I would not mind it being 7nd  which would be 35 hours or so. right now we are more like  25 hours.

ive thought of getting one of those mobile hotspots but usually if my internet goes out the power goes out shortly after. waiting for google fiber to hit town so i can ditch timewarner. Explain this they offer 100 down but they offer is 5 up. wtf is that service.

I'm just using my phone as a hotspot when I'm home, not one of the dedicated devices.  I have an old WRT54GL router with modified firmware that is configured to be a client to the phone hotspot (for when the hotspot is on/available).  I also have a pfSense firewall with a quad-NIC.  One port goes to the LAN, another to the cable modem (WAN1), and another to the 54GL (WAN2).  If WAN1 is ever down for more than 60s then the LAN is automatically routed to WAN2 until WAN1 comes back up.  It works well and has saved me from being woke up in the night a few times.  The fourth port on the NIC isn't in use at the moment--- I've considered turning it into a guest LAN but have never gotten around to it.

Nice!  I only wish I had more rental time during that span to add to my own rig (WH was above what I was willing to pay).

My rental experiment these past few weeks (always keeping some small orders below market on WestHash) hasn't gone well.  My spreadsheet says that I'm down 17% on those rentals.  So far no correlation between the availability of cheap rentals and pool luck as emerged-- it all seems perfectly random and I'm just on the bad side of ordinary variance with the timing of those rentals.  I need a few more weeks of data to know for sure.

Yeah I just added a message to the settings page:
"A payout address can only ever be set to one account"

That's the meaning of the "Unavailable" message

Uh oh... my Internet is getting glitchy.  I have 64% packet loss to kano.is at the moment.  I'm turning on the backup WAN (cellular hotspot) just in case Comcast goes down completely.

we want MORE. must have more blocks. would be nice to see a steady 6-10 blocks everyday.

Mining seems a lot like sailing to me. nice gusts of wind (lots of blocks) to move you along at a steady pace. Then doldrums (no/very few blocks) where you could swim faster then the boat is going. but in the end you get to where you are going on time cus they average out.

Hi. I have trouble receiving payments. At the moment of register for the pool I forgot to place the bitcoin address and did not receive payments. I already set the direction but still not reach my wallet payments.

Reach out to Kano directly.  If your payments aren't "dust" it's possible he can help you out.

how large are your payments? are they greater then the dust level payment? if not then you wont get them till kano implements auto pay.

if larger then contact kano or wait for him to post. he might have held them cus you didnt have a payment address.
