Hi All

Under worker tab -worker Name-Total 1(3 Miners) ?  Where this 3 miners figure coming from .

Thanks

Any one have any idea ?

Screenshot? Not really sure what you are asking/talking about.

Do you have 3 different devices?  Based on the top it looks like it only see's 1 worker by name (which may mean you didn't give any name).  I am not sure why the 3 in parenthesis.  I have 4 devices, each with it's own worker name so mine says "Total: 4 (4 miners)" but it also shows 4 workers in the table above whereas yours just shows the one.  Also did you by any chance experiment with worker names at some point?

it seems that we are going through a period of bad luck

Few hours ago we found block?

Only 1 block?
call it luck?
excuse where the gain is to find one block every 17/20 hours?

It seems that Kano approximately finds about one block a day. Odds to find a block are directly related to pools size. Kano is a small pool. But you do understand,  that because reward is shared among pool's participants,  end result is the same.

But with smaller pool variance is bigger. If you mine in e.g. Antpool,  you get almost exactly the same reward every day.

If people outside China keep supporting the Chinese pools, BTC will not have any value in the future. Looks at all the nasty things they are doing and not to mention centralization of all the hash power. Can't stop them from deploying more miners, but the rest of the world can CHOOSE not to mine on pools in China!

unfortunately is the reality, the Chinese build mining machinery, have larger pools, you try more and more to grow,
I'm not sure if we can do something to change all this, now aiming only greed of money, and they want more and more

Kano,

What would be the best backup pool for this pool?

That is a personal preference and up to you. Kano has said in the past that he will not suggest one. Most people use a PPS pool or ck.solo

You only really have 1 miner, is that correct?

In Total i have two S7 pointing to pool hosted in China and always have issue of dropping connection.

I will try to point to SG pool to see what happen

I have 7 miners and renting 1 contract.
But Workers page shows Total 8 (13 miners)
Because my rental rig has 6 miners to deliver the total hash rented.

If you are a lot closer to one, you'll have less latency and thus slightly lower stales.
de.kano.is
sg.kano.is
ruu.kano.is

I just changed the address,
I am in Italy
then I put
de.kano.is main
is
kano.is
as backup

EU 58 ms
VS

US 188 ms

Here you see comparison of pools' hasrates.
https://blockchain.info/pools?timespan=4days

You can confirm my doubt?
I live in Italy
I bet my miner
de.kano.is

correct?

Hi, i'm mining from Spain and from Canada, both sites are using the main pool, stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 , without any issue, except the ddos attacks...  Roll Eyes

I just checked the stats for a certain pool, 2 orphaned blocks in 7 hours plus a bunch of blocks with no transactions. SIGH :/

Can you or somebody else provide a link to where you find information on these empty blocks? Thanks.
