4GH/s is also not enough to submit enough shares to qualify for more than 10,000 satoshi of the block reward, so with only that hash you will never receive a payout here.
Not quite ... as I've said before, and in most posts above, not until I add the payout accounting (in the far distant future in a galaxy far far away)
The balance isn't lost, it's there in your account, just not sent (yet).

If your miner says it is seeing blocks every 2 or 3 minutes then you need to get the miner fixed.

Since you are mining at about 2-4GHs, you'd expect, on average, to find one block every ~2,500 years (at 4GHs)

The entire pool normally finds 1 block about every 2 days.

... though the hash rate at the moment is 3PHs so the whole pool would expect to find one, on average, every 1 day 5 hrs if it stays at 3PHs

If, on the other hand, you are referring to shares and not blocks, then you'd expect to find, on average, with 4GHs, only 1 share every 45 seconds.

The pool has a lower limit of 42 diff, which I will not be making any lower.

Edit: regarding your hash rate, the last comment is referring to that.
Since 4GHs would average around 45s per share, the variance at 1 minute would be VERY high.

It is strange...
many block are detected and nothing is accepted...
i am lost...
Yeah about one every 10 minutes on the bitcoin network ...

No...I have seen for my mining a new block detected ever 2 or 3 minutes...but never something accepted...
i change pool and now all is ok...
Hold on...I go back on Kano pool...

all seems ok now...
next time i make a screen shot

http://www.kano.is/address.php?a=36EwamvihBiZe4D2vV9j2kvQRUGsthemdX

The 1 minute rate is sometimes very high...
is this useful?

I'd sure like to see us hit another one before this diff increase (something like 2 hours now).

With the current difficulty increases you think its going to affect the pool noticeably ?

Well it's PPLNS, so there's no actual 'Pending'
Account->Rewards shows what you've earned in each block that's been found.
As mentioned above (and on the previous page), if you earn less than 0.00010000 in a block, I don't send it (yet).

0.00010000 BTC or more for payout. After the block has 101+ confirms, then Kano makes the manual payment (usually a few hours after the 101th confirm depending on time of day). He always posts to let you know when payment has been made (and the transaction details).
thanks.

this seems interesting for me as a micro miner.

But i'm till a little lost with the settings.

can I see somewhere how many satoshi are pending on my account?
I suppose it is not possible?

Jack of all trades, master of none.
New miner still waiting for the most of my second hand gear to arrive but the miner i have is now pointed to your pool.
Been reading around this forum for the past week and this pool stands out as a nice place to be.
Got a 1TH coindesk running at the minute but more to follow Smiley

Thanks for your comment, even though I am perfectly aware about all of that including the part that you said Kano must sleep. So you don't need to be sarcastic like that.

Hi anto, sorry if my post sounded sarcastic but it certainly wasn't meant that way and it was meant in jest, as Kano always seems to be here and never seems to rest.

Edit: and if you're a "I need my bitcoins 'now' to pay my debts I've accrued over the last day", then mining here will not suit you.
Sometimes we can go for a few days (or more) without any blocks, due to the size of the pool.
The record 666.666% Diff block was 7.5days when the pool average was 2.27PHs
I am just a hobbyist miner. I don't like to play on currency speculations so I don't have any debt to pay. According to your pool performance and total hash rate, I do not expect your pool to get more than 3 blocks in a day (if I didn't miss count that). And I do not expect to get the payout everyday. I am just trying to understand the performance of your pool according the way you set that up.

I was just wondering why my second payout on https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/a8a8b85b019db40034e260e31ac18e42e682a36b465b2b147e86da2df7069846, take so long to get confirmed. It got 5 confirmations as I am writing this, so it took almost 3 hours. My guess is that the transaction fee for that is too low, i.e only 0.001 BTC. As I wrote before, I am testing this pool. This kind of figures are the ones that I am after, to decide whether the pool is good or not.
Yep when the network txn rate is high, the payouts can take a while to reach their first confirm.

is there a minimum payout amount? just wondering how much my small miner needs to make in dust payments before I find out if everything is working.?
Yes you need to make 0.00010000 BTC or more in a block to be sent your reward.
You still get the balance of smaller amounts, but I've not written any code to send out the 'dust' yet.
i.e. you've not lost it, the total reward is there in your account, but I don't send the 'dust' out to anyone yet.

The main reason for not sending the 'dust' in the normal payout is that if I include the smaller amounts, the fee required to be added, by bitcoin core, is greater than the 'dust' amounts.
The reason for not sending it at all yet, is I've not written a payout verification in ckdb for the db to know for certain which rewards have been sent.

"When are payments sent out?

The block 'Status' must first reach '+101 Confirms' on the Blocks page, and then is flagged as 'Matured', before the reward is distributed.
The block reward is sent out manually soon after that."

Kano must sleep from time to time so he will process payments as soon as he can. block 384805 is still being confirmed through the network so that might be confirmed when Kano processes the payments for block 384724.

actually looks like a payment just went through. But payment for block 384805 is still to be processed once 101 confirms has been done and Kano manually processes it.
