Hello fellow ck's

I just finished developing the beta version of a Pebble watchface that allows you to monitor your mining on CKPool.

If you have a pebble i'd love to hear from you! ([email protected]) Beta testers will be rewarded(a small reward because I'm a poor college student) BTCBTCBTC

You can get the watchface here:  https://apps.getpebble.com/applications/55ecd9c28c537c1a5b00006f

Much Love,
~Cookie~

P.S. It won't work until the DNS problem is fixed Sad

P.S.S. DNS is working! <3 You Kano
As I mentioned above it should be fixed now Smiley

Yeah, sigh, it's another DNS issue like back in April.
I had thought I'd resolved that by adding 2 more backup DNS servers but that hasn't handled the master DNS server failing.
DNS will be back up as soon as the master is rebooted ... still awaiting for that ticket I raised almost 3 hours ago Sad
OK resolved it in a rather obvious way Tongue That I didn't think of before.
All should be OK again.
(no the master is still dead, but I made a slave into a master and that of course validates it's DNS info)

I flushed my own DNS just to clean up behind windoze and when i went to your site it popped right up heh.
Happy to see it up, but none of my miners ever rolled over... and I have some finicky machines... they will usually rollover for anything... Just like my ex wife - badump chi

what's the IP boss? We can use it right?
Guess I can try to resolve it myself, but if DNS isn't working I may have a struggle

Take a look at UltraDNS, I use it for my company and its been solid and very resistant to DDNS attacks. Not very pricy either when you have only a few domains and you can make the TTL long to cut down on the queries.

Yay one of my puppies found another block on the 2nd.. I think thats like 3 now Cheesy

Also like it when we find blocks fast when the hashrate is low, much nicer getting bigger chunks of the pie Cheesy

Thanks kano for running an awesome pool.
The Pool->Acclaim page says you've found 4 Cheesy

350247, 355076, 359857, 372741

Payout 373063 sent
be940570db7a074686b71fcc8c2a3fb16a3f0038183e1c5eb9007bfbd17b9586
and confirmed

OK I gotta ask when he found 4 blocks does that mean he got 25 btc's minus fees per block?
No, it's a pool using PPLNS.

If I was mining at ck's pool.. now that would be a different story..  Shocked

Or I could have not got any there..  Cry

I'm just happy to contribute and have helped everyone move the dial a little more.

Hmm eventually the pool went dead but i was mining still with no problem, while the frontend was down. But now my miners all failed over. Weird.
If miners connected before the DNS outage, then provided there is no interruption to their connection they will remain connected to the IP address they used. If they try to reconnect for whatever reason, a domain name lookup will fail and then they will fail to reconnect. Most miners have not failed over during this DNS outage for that reason.

Hah, yes you are right. Only the 2 miners that was rebooted have not managed to reconnect. Well i guess i could connect with the IP. But it seemed more that my ip range (montréal) was somehow blocked somehow?

Regardless i sent my IP to Kano as requested.

Kano,

I am not sure if this is of any relevance ... I cannot connect to your website... more-so I rebooted a miner on routine maintenance and your pool is now also dead to me..

I am not rebooting my other miners for fear of losing all contact with the pool..

I sent you my IP so you can look into it at your leisure

Thanks in advance

all good at your resolver (k1k2)?

Kano pls check NS records.

The frontend has been down for a while, i believe? CKPool Monitor hasn't updated any data for about an hour so i'm guessing the API is down along with the frontend.

Yes, was just checking on 1 setup and it had switched over to solo-ck, so checked the S3+ and it's switched also, saying kano pool is dead.
Same as above.
PM me your IP ... but I'd doubt that I'd have hit your miner ...
Yeah it's a DNS problem ... I'm chasing it down.
