Woo block!

I started mining to the pool using just a bitcoin address, but have since registered an account on the web site.  If I link that same btc address to my account and then mine using my account name, will my shares carry over to the account, or will I lose my shares mined?

I think my question got skipped over, could someone kindly answer?

I did receive a payment yesterday, so not sure if this was from the mining I was doing with just the address, or from when I switched over to my account user name.  Since both are pointed at the same BTC address I cannot tell.

And you process all payouts manually one by one?

I send the block miner transaction directly to the miners - one big transaction per block - after +101.
The pool software generates the transaction details.
I run a server check, database check, software check, results checks, etc. etc. each payout (and at other random times)
The wallet is not at the pool.

Does the payout go right into the user's bitcoin address? Is it automatic? Does it accumulate where you can then make a manual payout?

Each block the pool finds, you are allocated a reward and a payment to your payout address on the Rewards and Payments pages
This is done at either when the block reaches +2 or 10 minutes after the block (whichever is longest)
It uses the payment address that was set at the time the block was found.

Once the block reaches +101, I then manually send a payment transaction to all rewards > 10,000 satoshi for that block.

The pool accumulates all rewards on the Rewards page.
You can't see the outstanding balance anywhere yet, but you can calculate it by adding up the Rewards and subtracting your total wallet payments you've received from the pool.
'Balance' is still on the todo list.

I'm unable to connect for some reason. I signed up with my username opentoe. This is what is in my pool information:

stratum.kano.is:3333 -u opentoe
worker: opentoe_kitchen
password: x

My rig never connects. I know it's gotta be something stupid, right?

Yup, stupid mistake.

Kano, I'm not sure if this is exactly how you meant for the new payment/rewards pages to work but the latest block ending with ***100 still needs another 20 something conf. but both rewards page and paymouts page are displayed as if the payout has already been sent?
The rewards page shows what you have earned each block, not what has been paid.
It shows the reward for the block at either +2 or 10 minutes after the block is found (whichever is larger)

The payments page shows each payment generated with a blank status Tongue
That will (eventually) say when the payments have (and haven't) been sent.
i guess that eventually= when implemented???
Yep

Now for a bit of information overload for those who wonder about jumping pools and if there is a time to do it Smiley

Firstly, let me state clearly, there is no time to jump in or jump away that will ensure you gain more or lose less.
You can't predict when a block will be found so you can't determine in advance when to do it.
Deciding afterwards will not get you any average expected gain, you'd need to be psychic and decide before the fact.

The reason I'm making this post is that the stats here on the pool show a rather interesting (but random) result with regards to the 316.54% block 345945.
Every share in that block will be paid the average expected 5 times (at least) so mining the whole of the block to it's end did not have a negative affect on your payout if you did that.
The ~215% of the tail shares will be paid 6 times thanks to block 346176
So anyone who left and didn't mine all of the ~215% end of the 316.54% block, missed out on those shares being paid extra.
Note that the 215% is an estimate, I've not worked out exactly what it is but it is somewhere around 215% Smiley

This of course is purely random, but shows that indeed you cannot predict what will happen.

Go Big or Go Home.....
What's the Ramp up time to get proper expected returns? I've been on with a test rig since yesterday and I don't think I'm even near what it should be.

Thank you

LOL. Sorry. I found the info a few pages ago. Thank you. I'll stick around for a while to get it to ramp up to 100% of the Hashes I send.
