You can contact Steve at Canaan.

[email protected]

I'm pretty sure you can also just submit an order that size but it doesn't hurt to touch base first.

They also sent out an email yesterday about a price drop I think the 841 with June delivery is down to 958.

Reached out to Steve, thanks.

Looking to get some kind of discount on an order of 50 rather than just checking out on website.

Would rather support them than Bitmain...

So all the Bitmain coupons gone?
I actually have 19 $100 and 6 $200 coupons that I'm not going to end up using. Free to anyone mining at Kano.

Good call the product really speaks for itself. The nice thing is besides the 2 year warranty they are training local repair technicians around the globe.

Good luck

If you know anyone on any bitmain pools or slush (which is probably now a bitmain pool also) with over 2PH then tell them about it Smiley

This is from the threads OP -- which I read because I was intrigued by your contest.

I'm just curious why you would suggest that Slush is a Bitmain Pool?

This is a legitimate question.  Like some here -- I was one of the group that began the "merged mining" which was the beginning of Slush.  Until 1 1/2 years ago I stayed in touch with the people over at Satoshi Labs and even participated in their Cryptoanarchist hackers convention.

Is this legitimate?  Is it rumor that I haven't heard?  Or just internet BS?

Seriously -- I'm genuinely interested because Bitmain has really bothered me lately with their BCH agenda (not to mention the "ordinary" laundry list of concerns).

Thanks!
Merged mining wasn't possible until after altcoins existed - so the end of 2011.
Slush started in 2010.

Anyway,
it's quite simple actually if you look at it sideways Smiley

Slush jumped by about 2EH in a few months.
Lets say 13.5THs miners, so that's about 148,000 miners went online in his pool over that short period of time.

Do you seriously think that all the miners at slush were able to get to: 5 times what they already had, in a few months? Seriously?
There were no 'new faster' miners. S9s had been around for well over a year already.

He's literally scammed everyone on his pool before, due to his own negligence, in Dec 2015, up to 500 BTC, so I can't see any reason why he'd have issue with helping Bitmain and letting them point a lot of miners at his pool to distribute their hash rate more.

--

Meanwhile, as far as the numbers show by someone here who keeps comparing slush to my pool, you've been losing out by mining on slush all that time, and paying him more than twice the fees here Tongue

Wow. It's like the price drops to keep pace with the diff increases... Crazy to think they used to be 4x as much!

Hey guys,

Am ready to make a significant expansion to my present mining power.. electricity has been sorted out..

Is there a warm contact at Canaan to approach regarding a bulk order? (40-50 units)

Anyone still have bitmain coupons remaining?

135TH pointed @ Kano now, hoping to have much more soon Smiley

Is the site down?
Yeah I had to restart the webserver, it was dropping connections badly.

So I did an update at the same time.
All OK again.
RESTART!!! I almost missed that you said the magic word and then we got a block--tongue firmly planted in cheek by the way... Wink

Edit: Scratch that. Block came first. Eh, close enough. Grin

I have 200 amp service.  I'm checking on how many miner will max this out.  I heard 6.

It would make a difference if you're running 220/240 or 110/120, but with 220, I have 4 running. Pulling around 19 amps.

Not per miner.  For my whole house.

I guess i should explain how the power bill works in Pennsylvania.  You are stuck with PPL to run the power to your house at .04 cents per Kwh and then you choose a provider and they range anywhere from .05 to .1 per Kwh.  A provider offered my 89.99 no matter how much power I use because I live very close to a ton of windmills.

What is your amperage limit?

Are there issues with connections to Stratum? All my miners are a hooting.
I had a failover from NYA to US 9 hours ago, but that might've just been me.

It was pretty cool to see my US suffixed workers showing up on the Workers page letting me know there was a failover.

How does this deal sound for electricity?  89.99 per month unlimited plus 4 cent per Kwh.

Bonus: It's all Wind power

Per miner?    That is horrible.  Rough math:  1.4kw/hr * 24 * 30 = 1008 KWH for $89.99 + $40.32 = $130.31 / 1008 = $0.129/kwh

If not, say its good for 100 miners:  $89.99 + $4032 = $4122 / 100800 = $0.041/kwh which is great, but somehow I doubt that $89.99 is good for 100 miners.  What does it cover?
