Think for yourself
Just out of interest what is the shortest gap between found blocks on Kano pool ?

A few hours,we have days with 3 blocks/24 h
 Cool

Much shorter than that.

In the last 108 blocks the shortest gap looks like 6 minutes.  there have been shorter gaps as well.

The other pools are growing much faster than kano, thats why kano will get less block by time... Sad
That has zero effect on your reward.

If there are fewer blocks, your reward per block will be higher - for the obvious reason.

Variance is the only relevant point.
As long as the pool is mining enough blocks every diff change then the variance averages out - you get more some months and less other months.
Overall you're paying slush more than twice the fees you pay here - so expected less average reward at slush.

Well, I was comparing april with almost the same hashrate with kano and slush, and slush had a better payout at the end.

You are more talking about "statistics", but well that's not the real life..
... and since you don't have a crystal ball and tell the future - what's your point?

History here shows a pretty good average reward.

Yes you can pick one month and say "Oh My God that month was less" ... you can also pick other months and say "Oh My God that month was more"
Neither mean much in the big picture.

Quote
The first 8 days of May there was only 1 block found at kano, so that MUST be fixed with finding more blocks within a shorter timerange..

I will give another try with kano for sure, but if you see how the hashrate in the network grows, kano is growing to slow?!
Again, as I said, pool size isn't relevant.

Hello everyone,

I am privately mining (Manicmanuel) with just a small setup since some time (every hashrate I ever produced went to kano :-)) and just startet bigger with CoinTrade.

Unfortunately the username was already in use so we have to go with this one now :-)

We are looking forward to getting up to 1 PH in the next two weeks.

@kano: we had problems verifying our Email adress for the pool and it semms as this email is no longer accepted .... can you reset it so that we can use our buisness adress and I am not forced to use a private one?

best regards

Manuel

We need more Hashing power, more found Blocks.
But here you can see that KanoPool with 143PH/s, maintain same earnings for single S9 like SlushPool with 3.000PH/s.

Thanks for the feedback! Also, I'm steadily working on finding more HashPower.  Wink

I possess 50+ $100 Bitmain coupons that I would let go to Kano miners, only.   PM me for details.

It would be appreciated, but not required, to have some hash pointed to my account here when you are in receipt of your hardware.

It's understandable.  There are a$$holes all over the internet that are more than willing to take another's generosity for granted! Thanks everyone for the help, encouragement and coupons.  I'm really not much of a forum poster because I'd rather sift/search through the thread than ask direct questions (I learn more that way!) and I'm not yet very knowledgeable to be helpful.  But I'll definitely let you know when these new miners start ramping up! No more coupons needed, my order has been placed!

Agreed, I tend to read and learn. Not everyone need to post just to break out of newbie. How does 100 posts on "block" help the community? There should be a balance in welcoming newbies.
I registered just to point this out.

Instead of looking at daily payouts.  I like to look at the whole month or combination of months.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TUQ7eEWaMKaAW1QjAHy34KL9nQ09R6dPrRELAH7gG0I/edit?usp=sharing

But I'll admit it is nice getting 3 payouts some days...haha

This is Great!!! Would you mind if I shared this in my promoting??? What equipment are you using??? Also, the 3x days are Awesome!!!

This is my calculations based on my earnings, but Swanny88 has the same earnings.

PoolHash                                                                  143 PH/s                     3.000 PH/s

Warning
This calculation is based on Blocks found in April, earnings depends the most on how much we have found BlocksBTC.

Mine on BTC

That's why I moved most of mine back to slush:

Monthly Earnings S9 14TH/S                                0,027146312                  0,028434107   BTC

because the by the end payouts are the most important.

The other pools are growing much faster than kano, thats why kano will get less block by time... Sad

Kudos and yer 1st Merit for knowing how to Learn with a capital 'L'. http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/hello/salute-smiley-emoticon.gif
Too many folks come here and ask things that have been previously answered, often in great detail, countless times already. Even a decently worded Google search usually will pin-point the relevant posts here.

Personally, when giving help I use the 'Teach a person to fish vs giving them a fish' approach. As you said, learning the 'how and why' is far more helpful than just a 'do this'.

To play devils advocate. The fact that so many questions are answered numerous times is proof of the exceptional community surrounding Kano Pool and the willingness of members to help others.

This is what is touted as one of the greatest positives of this pool. The community and that Kano himself will take time to explain how the pool works.

You're either helpful or you're a bunch of d1cks that say "Google it." Personally, I like the helpful non-pompous approach. Kind of refreshing for a newb.

Edit: and to add, hopefully some of us newer members, as we learn, can step in and help others that our just joining as well. The circle of life completes itself.
