Im awaiting a shipment of 50 S9's.  This doesnt meet your requirement to participate in the giveaway, so why should I choose this pool for my 50 miner farm?
It doesn't meet the requirements - as the giveaway says - 5PH or 9.5PH to get bonus extra rewards if you find a block, above the normal pool rewards.

Philopolymath there's no point posting a "I can come up with a couple of bad numbers on the pool"
Coz I'll just delete your post.
That's called biasing the results to suit your delusions Smiley

Congratulations on the recent lucky streak...
If you mined at Kano since August of 2017 you are now ONLY THIRTY-FIVE  (35) BLOCKS BEHIND 100% expectancy.
If you mined since Oct you are ONLY NINETEEN (19) BLOCKS BEHIND 100% expectancy
Ha funny - trying to scare people with incomplete statistics Cheesy Cheesy
Now try comparing the numbers with your favourite PPS pool Cheesy

Top "Block Statistics" table shows the 'over time' average results for the pool Smiley
... and there's only one in there that's below 100% PAPPS - 100 blocks - ~6 months.

Code:
					PAPPS%
Last 5 Blocks 7.4days 163.74%
Last 10 Blocks 19.0days 146.99%
Last 25 Blocks 11.5wks 105.10%
Last 50 Blocks 20.6wks 110.39%
Last 100 Blocks 26.6wks 88.97%
Last 250 Blocks 38.0wks 100.96%
Last 500 Blocks 57.2wks 114.27%
Last 1000 Blocks 86.2wks 104.12%
All - Last 2219 Blocks 182.7wks 105.83%

See, when you don't understand what the numbers mean, you make stupid posts like you have Smiley

You wont find a single PPS pool that's paid over 105% for the past 3.5 years.
Or how about over 114% for the past year and a bit Smiley
You will, however, find them who have paid over 89% for the past 6 months though Smiley

The number go up and down, obviously, it's called ... a big word for you to read up about ... random.

Nice Kano-san!  Thank you sooo much!  I now understand bec of this post what is the purpose of PAPPS!

Admittedly new to this (started mining in the pool last week) but should there be a delay between what it shows in my payments page, and what it shows in my software wallet (using Exodus)? The first two payments hit my wallet instantly, the most recent two (blocks 514430 and 514487) did not. Thanks.
As it says on the Help->Payouts page,
I can't, due to the rules of Bitcoin, send out the Block reward until it matures, 101 confirms after we find the block.
I send it out a minute after it matures.
That's not happened yet for the last 2 blocks.

Next after I send it out, we have to wait for the payout transaction to confirm.
That will be at most when we next find a block after it's sent out, and sometimes sooner.

Edit: oh, also, you can check the "status" of the block on the Blocks page.

Holy smokes!  This guy is super lucky to hit 2 blocks in one day with just 132TH!  Shocked

Mine on!  Wink

I'd say he should probably try solo mining for a few days, but luck doesn't work that way so I'll just say I'm glad we can share in the luck Smiley

Chance of you finding a block in one day:    1 in 1,304.0 (132TH)
Chance of two blocks in one day: 1/(1304^2) = 1 in 1,700,416
So you're saying there's a chance......
Anyone who solo mines with less than 20-30PH is a gambling addict.
The statistics are all very straight forward.

but what about the one who earlier in March caught the block with 7 TX / S? if this is not luck then what is it? Wink

Good point... of course they would have the same chance (1/1304) at solo mining, so then we're just gambling with an electricity bill  Wink

So I've been noodling on it for a minute and I think I'm starting to see it better.  The way I'm thinking about it is correct, payout is only based on your hashpower relative to the rest of the network, BUT only at the moment that difficulty changes.  From there, the pool hashrate rules the variation.  The effect of every pool in the world increasing hashrate would just increase block production speed, and then difficulty would adjust up after the 2016 blocks.  So if you tracked the % change in pool rate from when difficulty changed and applied that to what you calculate from payout at moment of difficulty change, it should correlate with reward.
Difficulty is what decides your expected reward per THs per time period.
Expected reward is typically called 100% PPS
It changes each 2016 blocks.

Your block reward depends on the pool hash rate.
If the pool hash rate 'expects' us to find a block every 2 days, then your Reward per block, at 100% PSS, and no Txn Fees, will be twice your expected daily 100% PPS ... since you only expect a block every 2nd day.

On top of that 'expected' 100% PPS you add transaction fees and subtract pool fees.

So e.g. if we find 2 blocks in a day when we expect one block every 2 days, that day you'd expect to be Rewarded 400% PPS + TxnFees - Pool Fees ... due to "400% luck" (for that day)
i.e. 'expect' 0.5 blocks a day, got 2 blocks = 2 / 0.5 = 4

That's also what the PAPPS% number is on the web site: MeanTx% * Luck% - pool fee

"Yes" and "I don't know"
"Yes" I think so if difficulty adjusted every block, and "I don't know" (nor do I want to know) anything about LCC Smiley

From previous edit not sure you saw...

Edit:....So it clicked in my head on my hangup.  If rest of world shut off, then we would never throw work away. Every block we try to crack and dont crack, that is wasted hashpower.  So if we have no competition, every hash and all the work we send to the block will result in a block.  Right now we only have a very small percentage of actual work that results in a block.  How could that not speed up block generation over expected?
Work doesn't count towards finding a block.
There's no "almost there"

Using the dice example again (since yes it really is the same as bitcoin hashing):
If you roll a dice ten times and miss getting a "5 or a 6" you are no closer to getting a "5 or a 6".
It doesn't matter if you rolled and failed ten times, or a hundred times, the previous rolls don't affect the next roll, and don't affect your chances of the next roll getting "a 5 or a 6".
