there is also awesome miner...
FYI I think someone mentioned the newest S9 firmware disables SSH, which renders Awesome Miner useless, but this may need confirmed by someone else since I'm Canaan-only.
Awesome miner should probably fix that ...
Monitoring your miner via the API still works fine.

Rebooting your miner via the API has never been the most reliable way to fix a miner.
If you have miners that need rebooting every day using that tool, then you probably need to do something about the miners ...

there is also awesome miner - I use it to monitor all 20 of my miners regardless of what pool they are on, but I think that has to be enabled at site where miners are and if you are remote then you need their web services. The iPhone app for kano/ck pool works great for notifying me when/if my miners go offline or start declining in hash rate but it does not offer any control over the miners as it is from pool side not miner side of course.

Thanks guys,

I tested the Android app, it can monitor only the total hashrate, not particular  miners, but does the job as a start, I'll test Minergain also later.
Looks like Zach's has been dead for a couple of months, I've removed it from the first post.

I don't advertise minergain coz it's also altcoins and other pools.
Altcoins, I'll have nothing to do with, they're all scams.

But yeah try it Smiley

Hi guys,

I'm trying to find an option in the pool to receive email alerts once my miner gets offline or the hashrate drops below normal (one of the hashboards gets stuck and reboot is needed). Is there such an option and where can I find it?

Thank you in advance!

Minergain definitely does that (and now i don't know how to stop it). You register an account, configure your api and it will start sending you emails when things go wrong (which for me its sadly too often).

Unfortunately it seems that site was abandoned, sign up is impossible, old users are also reporting it stopped working months ago.

I was using MRR so far for the rig offline notification, but it was banned from Kano Sad. Having no such notifications is kind of a problem, my miners are 1 year old already, in a distant DC and I need to know when some hashboard is stuck and reboot is needed Sad ...

Did you try the android app or the iphone app?  Also, www.minergain.com has a miner monitoring part for KanoPool workers.

There's a Discord channel to get quick block notifications and support.

No one needs to change anything.

Always good to hear.

Thanks for keeping the gears turning and the miners hashing.

I've removed the DE node from the list of nodes, anyone mining to de.kano.is is now switched over to nl.kano.is
The DE node has failed 3 times in the last short while, so I've given up on it.
They aren't my preferred, most reliable provider, so I've simply removed it and switch the DNS over to point to the NL node, that is with my preferred most reliable provider.
No one needs to change anything.

Unfortunately neither works for me in this case. I had someone at work check on them and he found that the breaker feeding them had tripped. He reset the breaker and all was well for a few hours but the breaker has tripped again. Since he is clueless about checking why it tripped (other than it being overloaded) because he doesn't know how the miners actually work, things will have to wait for me to get back & check the miners/PSU's and circuit loads and if needed take one of the miners in the bank offline to lessen the load.

Really starting to wish I had picked up a couple more M10's when they were available to start replacing the 841's...

Well bloody hell... One bank of A841's in my farm are offline and I'm down about 40THs. Naturally I'm out of the country until next Monday so poop...

and that is one reason that I have mine at my own property - if I leave, I have another friend that also mines and he can always check mine and vice versa if he is gone, I can take care of his.

Ouch! That's one advantage of having boots on the ground at my host site.  They are at home even if I'm not. Smiley

I would say go for it.

You honestly never know when one of the big fish is going to fail over, or when they are coming to stay for a month. There is no good way to time it, like it's been shown as well it's not wasted work either.

It's a tough call to reduce your reward in the short term, but it doesn't become an easier decision. You could wait for the hashrate to increase bit there is no guarantee it stays there.

yea maybe - I am hesitant to do so while the ramp up is so long. my profitability is quite low, after paying for the miners and for the electricity for a year now, I have barely 1 BTC in reserves. although that 1 btc is worth a lot more this month then it was say 2 months ago lol
