Kano, the website is acting funny.  The API isn't responding, and the URL comes up, but all values are zero or otherwise empty.

Payout is WAY WAY WAY over due..there have been tons of blocks found after last maturation..

Pool seems overloaded since latest influx of 90k Th .........luck has been ridiculously bad..

Connectivity problems...
Orphans? where is list of orphans?

Actually, this is working properly.  The payouts are out there, just not yet confirmed.

You haven't been here long enough to know this.  Payouts take a little longer than other pools..

blockchain confirms the blocks  after 101 confirms  they are ready to send

all 3 blocks are ready to send   so   when the pool hits the next block they will be sent

Another block has to be hit before previous matured blocks pay out?  I had never noticed that before.
Firstly, it's described on the Help->Payouts page Smiley
Anyway, as it says, I send out the transaction about 1 minute after the block matures.

Bitcoin transactions have 2 clearly different states:
1) Exists on the network
2) Confirmed 1 or more times

Until a transaction is included in a block, it is in state 1) - in the mempool.

You will see those transactions in your client, if they are relayed to you and your client shows unconfirmed transactions.

Once it's included into a block, it gets it's first confirm.

I (usually) send out the transactions recently with a 42,000 satoshi fee.
I, of course, also ensure the transaction is in our pool work.

The payout transaction gets it's first confirm when either we find a block, or some other pool includes it in their block.
Whichever happens first.

I believe the transactions are sitting out there in bitcoin network waiting for a miner to confirm them.  They probably have low transaction fees, if any.

This way, since the pool builds the blocks with the transactions it wants the miner to mine, if the pool "finds" a block, the payout transactions are included.

It's a very clever method, if I understand it correctly. Smiley

I have a question, since the last three blocks haven't been paid out yet and span close to 5 hours between the 1st and 3rd block.  Blocks 491085, 491091, and 491121.  The Blockchain says, "Unable to decode Blockchain address."  What does that mean?
https://blockchain.info/block/00000000000000000061eb3acf78861b327621bc15fe5f39dfbbae7d36fc7b77

Does it just mean, wait?   Huh I am not trying to be impatient, I just wonder how things work.  Does the payout have to be manually sent, so it's just a matter of waiting for a human to split up and send out the payouts, or is it just that the blockchain gets clogged up with transactions and can take a while?

Thanks!

The "Unable to decode Blockchain address." on Blockchain.info (blockchain.info is NOT the blockchain, it is a service) simply means that it isn't a valid address. It shows 0 BTC being sent to that, and what it's used for is storing data.

The payments are sent from what I see, just unconfirmed as a low fee is used. They should be prioritized by KanoPool and get a confirmation in the next block that KanoPool mines, or if another miner decides to mine it.

That would be just co-inky-dink, though we do like to try and goad kanosan into doing a restart when we run into a killer block sometimes just for sh!ts and giggles... Cheesy

Does that dump the block and pick up a new one?  Seems like it'd be a good strategy if it goes over like 150% haha.

It doesn't quite work that way.

There isn't a "block" that is pending.  The pool is feeding the miners work to build a block based on the current transactions in the network, the last network block, and some random data.

Everyone talks like we're going to "crack a block", but it's not like that.

That said, I'm all for a pool restart to see what happens. Smiley

Anyone know of an existing alert service or web site/app that I could somehow set up to notify me of when Kano pool hits a block?  Like an email would be cool but a text service would be best Smiley
Seeing as how we may be here for a bit longer, I just wanted to see if anyone reading this thread/mining in this pool knows of a service to alert me each time Kano pool relays a block...

If nothing like that exists I suppose I could investigate a way to do this thru IFTTT or something similar.

you can install the CKPool app on your phone. it send an instant notification every time a block is solved by the Kano pool.

Thanks for this @luxMiner and thanks @beltsniffer too for your reply.  I did read the first post but somehow I missed the part about iOS Apps until your replies.  I got the app setup and am happy with the push notifications and the health monitors for my worker on Kano pool.

Anyway, I am glad I stuck with Kano pool during this long ass block.  This pool will end up paying much better than Slushpool...  It seemed odd to me that 2 blocks came in quick succession after the pool server was restarted?  Probably just a coincidence lol or just Lady Luck masquerading as something related to play tricks on the mind... :-/

So a 20 BILLION share is not good enough for a block?
Hmm

20,402,019,060

Hmm

Current difficulty is:

1,196,792,694,098

Unfortunately you are still over a trillion short. Sad

One thing I don’t like about this thread is that comments keep disappearing for some reasons.
When I do delete posts I usually post about it.
But if it's a post about another pool then it will be gone as soon as I see it Tongue

Mods can delete posts and most mods dislike me Smiley
