Hey Kano,
On the workers page, is there a problem with the "Elapsed"? I know it used to show the time since the last block was found on the network. Now it is showing large amounts of time i.e. 160hr 18m 26s

I was trying to rack my brain to see if I could figure out if it was indicating something else, but came up empty.  Cheesy
Anyway, no biggie! ;-)>

Cool. Thanks for the update. Figured it was something like that. As long as the important parts are working, that's all that matters!  Cheesy

Coinbase claims that it will stop accepting any deposit. I wonder what will happen to the deposit from Kanopool.
It seems that BTC.com is an option if Coinbase stops service temporarily.
Thanks!
Just have your revenue to go your Core wallet instead for the time being. Don't use an exchange, perhaps, until things settle out for you.

Could someone please remind me what was the name of that cold wallet where you posses the your private keys that could be setup on an old android phone?  Thanks! Smiley

Electrum, paired with Ledger Wallet should be able to do this.

Cool! So I could actually install an Electrum app wallet on my android and it could somehow be pared with my Ledger USB wallet?  Huh

The Coinbase transaction stoppage is only for a few hours.
Ya know, Coinbase covers all this in their UAHF/UASF FAQ and that is better info than people just guessing about it.

4 hours only actually.

--- full statement as follows ----
Dear Coinbase Customer,

We are contacting you to make you aware of recent developments in a number of proposals for technical changes to Bitcoin. All BTC stored on Coinbase will remain safe during these events described below.

The User Activated Hard Fork (UAHF) is a proposal to increase the Bitcoin block size scheduled to activate on August 1. The UAHF is incompatible with the current Bitcoin ruleset and will create a separate blockchain. Should UAHF activate on August 1, Coinbase will not support the new blockchain or its associated coin.

The User Activated Soft Fork (UASF) is a proposal to adopt Segregated Witness on the Bitcoin blockchain and could result in network instability. It is scheduled to activate at the same time as the UAHF.

To ensure the safety of customers’ funds, we will temporarily suspend BTC deposits, withdrawals, and buy/sell starting approximately 4 hours before activation of either fork.

If you do not wish to have access to UAHF coins, and do not wish to access your BTC during the fork, you are not required to take any action.
If you do wish to have access to UAHF coins or access your BTC during the fork, you should send your BTC from Coinbase to your external address by July 31.

For more information on these potential Bitcoin forks, please refer to this article: https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/2844217-uahf-uasf-faq.

Thank you,

Coinbase Team

Anyone else having issues with the CKPool iPhone app?  Seems the last few days (noticed it for sure yesterday) that the Hashing screen listing my miners seems to be stuck and not updating (I currently have 1 down that is showing as mining, not listed under Idle).  Any suggestions?

Master Kano I have a question.  From what I've read on the internet if 80% of the miners do the BIP91 switch like you did then the coin will not split in two, is that true?  And if it is then how can we know what percentage of miners have done that switch already?  Thanks! Smiley
It's over 99% already.

So as long as yaw coins are not with someone who rejects bit-1 blocks, or yaw running a bit-1 valid wallet, yaw all good ... for the next 3 months Smiley

I see!  And another question.... is Ledger wallet a good option for storing them for now or not?  Thank you!  Smiley
Don't ask me about wallets - I only use a bitcoind wallet Smiley
(and no the pool wallet doesn't run qt either - no chance I'd risk all that money with that cludge Tongue)

Someone else will need to answer.

With regards to transactions, for everyone, there's not going to be any holding back of payouts between now and the next point of contention - which is Segwit2x in a few months - unless Core has fucked up the SegWit code and everything goes to crap with SegWit transactions.
More than 99% of blocks are with BIP91/SegWit so that resolves any issues there already.

The 1-Aug date is irrelevant, has nothing to do with miners, and has no affect on our mining.

Block by dsjif!  This is your 6th Kano block! Cheesy

This is our 2nd of BLOCK FRIDAY! Cheesy Cheesy

I thought we'd have a payout with the last block. The last block I got paid for was 476607. Am I out of sync, or is that right? Thanks for any input!  Grin

Mine on!  Cheesy

476729 and 476772 payments are still confirming it apears.
Nope - they are in the blockchain with our block.
There were 2 payouts:
476729 de9bc2d517d2435e933c255c42fb2a50635aec429fa7ea1f452f7cbce319811f
476772 a83e86a36f2978041b2dbd78523e347dd28e58890b6844ef3574a510dc472e24

I was wondering... But they weren't in my Core wallet... I just took another look, not there. THEN, I realized my Core wallet was not ONLINE. LOL. It is syncing now. I'm sure they will be there in a few minutes.
Sorry for the confusion on my part. That's just they way my day has gone.  Shocked
