BTCP is up on the Equihash port - come pound the crap out of it!!!

How can you mine a specific coin? I thought zpool just mines whatever is most profitable on the specific algo.

Answer from MRR about connectivity to Zpool.ca :

We have reviewed this rental and canceled the remaining time.

Your pool, sha256.mine.zpool.ca:3333 would not accept connection.

Thank you for using MRR!

--- That would be everyday then, and this i dont understand. With  my own miners, their check gives a warning, as it does with all other miningpools.
--- Reported this, and eventually got some miners (with S9's) with the same problem.

Or it mines at half speed, and gives errors. Or it mines normally, but also with the pool check error.

So if Zpool/crackfoo can inspect if he accidently blocked MRR-pool check routine, and make clear problem is not with them, then MRR can lookup their part.

Thanks in advance.

DS-M/Sander

* Update : Seems to problem was fixed today, somehow.

@crackfoo I mined for BCH thinking it was Bitcoin Cash a while ago, used a Bitcoin Cash address. I'm guessing I didn't the payout though because it looks like this is actually Bitcash not Bitcoin Cash. Though on coinmarketcap.com Bitcoin Cash goes by BCH. Anyways could you help me it it resolved? Sorry for the trouble, mined with BCH: 12cn3KkiE4dkonSbSzeEBS5AYpKksiXNVt Thanks!

Hey All,

Got a quick question.  I want to start using ZPool to mine LUXcoin.  when I edit the start .bat file, am I suppose to put in my bitcoin address, the LUX port and for the coin symbol, am I suppose to put in BTC or LUX?  Just want to make sure I do it right so I don't waste a whole day of mining.

Example below:  Trying to mine LUX and get paid out in BTC

-o stratum+tcp://.mine.zpool.ca: -u [-p c=,]

-o stratum+tcp://.mine.zpool.ca: -u [-p c=,]

Also, what am I suppose to put in the Option section?

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
If you use c=LUX, you use a LUX address. IF you use c=BTC you use a BTC address. You mine an algorithm at this pool not a coin. The "c" parameter is for what you want to be paid in. In this case though you want BTC pool is majorly short on LUX so you will not get paid for a long time if you use a LUX address.

Got it, thanks guys

I realize that BTC is the only method of guaranteed payout, but is anyone using LTC as their sole method and has it been reliable to do so?  I'm just trying to avoid BTC transaction fees.
I tried LTC https://www.zpool.ca/?address=LQ4BnJzhc8Waw9NtLjsrzvVWAp3g695eev
Got a payout but zpool.ca sent it in two separate transactions, and both were less, than my wallet accepts -- so I lost it (or at least I don't know how to recover it)
However, it was a small amount, anyway.

you shouldn't be using a service that take deposits fee's. Had you used your own wallet, you'd have them.

true, but you shouldn't be sending lower than promised 0,0125, just received lower than that and have to pay 4% in fees to spend that BTX input.

It was not a "fee" but something like a "min deposit amount is 0.005 LTC". Yup, with my own wallet that wasn't a problem probably.
Anyway, I mean that setting "c=LTC" does work (in my case at least) at the pool, but there're some other caveats.
I've seen this before. After you hit the minimum set by the target or exchange you will see your coins show up. It happened to me on Kraken so I changed it up.

Any info on the Linda currency? Last block you found is weeks ago so I don't even try to start my miners. I really like to mine tons of trashcoins so I want to give Linda a try.
