First, always check the website you are visiting. There are a lot of Phishing sites, so be careful. second, don't always believe in some too-good-to-be-true offer from the Internet. It's just a bait to lure you in and get your account details. always have the benefit of the doubt.

so many hacks going on these days, its insane. really important to protect your funds, Id say the most important advice is to hold funds in a hardware wallet somewhere secure. Don't even bother NOT having a physical wallet, otherwise having funds online can easily result in them being lost if you make a silly mistake, or even if you don't. get a trezor or ledger that's my advice

To make your bitcoin safe from, one should have a hardware wallet. But many people cant afford to buy one. Online wallet is safe as long as you dont give your private keys. And avoid suspicoius or phishing sites.

His opinion is right and that is the way to keep safe your bitcoin from hacker. For me the best thing to do is do not trust others because no matter how you hide it if you trust someone there is a chance that it will gone.

thanks, your advice is very helpful, bitcoin is a sensitive and easily hacked currency because there is no authority and regulation about hackers on BTC, so I think we should take care of our own btc. my friend had been a victim of hacker and lost some btc, thing to be aware is the exchange application.

Today it is one of the common problem today in the community... Lots of begginers get victims by scammer and hacker...  And it is very hard to trust now even our wallet because it is very possible they can access it also...  Though some says it is quite secure but it really had to trust...  We need so much security in our wallet to prevent it...

It is an inglorious task for all investors who have cryptos in their wallets, avoiding the improper access and theft of these by the hackers. This is a fertile ground with many loopholes in the harmful action of these people.

Do not click on links sent in emails.

Google ads had "poison ads" sent by hackers which resulted in $50,000,000 theft. Be careful of google advertisements

I am using myetherwallet at the moment but planning to shift to a hardware wallet as soon as I can. I just keep myself secured and away from hackers and thieves. It’s true that emails contain  malicious content that can take your information like pinkeys. I am not going to loosen my protective measures in keeping my pinkeys.

I think hardware wallet was costly mate, and I don't think its guaranteed that it would last longer. Myetherwallet was only for erc20 coins or tokens, and what we're talking about here was bitcoin. First and foremost, bitcoin storing that's commonly used particular in every country that allows bitcoin exchange locally, every people had a legit accounts and they can store their btc amount using trusted web wallet. In order to be safe from hackers you can have an optional google authenticator apps in order to have full access security in your web wallet for bitcoins.

Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin can be kept in “wallets”, most of which are software applications running on your PC or that can be accessed via the Internet. To control and spend your Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency) wallet applications keep a long string of characters called “private key” (you can see it as a very long password) stored either on your pc or in an online server. Both these options are not safe as hackers can take control of internet servers or install malware on your pc and “steal” your Bitcoin.
The safest option is to keep your private keys away from the internet, so that hackers cannot steal them. For this reason several companies developed usb-key-like wallets that allow you to store your Bitcoin offline and protect them with strong encryption and a PIN code (so called “hardware wallets” or just “hard wallets”). If you are thinking about purchasing cryptocurrencies, I would strongly recommend to keep them safe in a “hard wallet”.

better keep your Bitcoin in the hardware wallet, because the hardware wallet is very strong unless the hardware is broken and someone knows the password.

different from the online wallet, what if the online wallet website is being hacked?
how if its a bankrupt website etc, I suggest you save your Bitcoin in hardware wallet.

I think if you have Bitcoin and you are a trader then there is the only best option is you can use the exchange security essentials because you want to put in exchange for trading purposes that is why I think you choose the good exchange and make complete all security authentications because I think in this why your Balance will be secured.

Because Bitcoin is full online typing so it is more likely to be hacked. So it is very important to keep your private key with caution. Keep your bitcoin saved.

A badger on the Internet is very important for any user, especially when working with money. It's not worth taking away, then all things will go in and develop. And nobody is hacking you.

This is a good guide for people who wants to start investing in Bitcoin. These tips can also give relief to people who are overthinking about their wallet. I agree to your statement that having a hardware wallet is the better way to secure your wallet than using online wallet. Just don't lose your hardware wallet and everything will be fine.
