I think there is no way without keeping your bitcoin wallet log in information in your own responsibility. Every hacker is updated about all the latest new technology. Though hackers try their best for the hack we can take some step for secure our bitcoin wallet as well as our bitcoin money.

Please always use incognito mode for search or login
Every time you need to log out from e-mail (google or yahoo or any ) when you are not active.
Change your bitcoin password every 30 to 50 days & must try for the more hard password.

If you have no funds to buy hardware wallet, just use isolated OS without connection and two wallets (cold/hot) like in this manual for electrum

Well that's good, there's many newbie in forum that they need to know that, they can get an information about the safest wallet.
Hardware wallet , Trezor and Coinbase is the most trusted wallet that I currently use for my bitcoin.
Actually, there many things that they need to know so that they can really protect their bitcoin from hackers. The best way to keep your bitcoin from hackers is simply put it in a wallet like hardware wallet so that you can sure it is safe and secure. Just use trusted wallet like blockchain, trezor and coinbase when you storing your bitcoin.

Security polices regarding bitcoin is yet to be made by United Nation and government of the countries where bitcoin is used. The founder of bitcoin had also made good secuirty for securing bitcoin from hackers. Now it also depends upon you which connection you are using for bitcoin.

The safetiest of your bitcoin is depends on you but I don't blame other people if they account was hack, all we need in crypto world is to be careful every day especially on our private key.
It is best for you to get a hardware wallet because you will be worrying less than before because if you have a lot of asset just like for example, you got ethereum and you got other types of token under ethereum blockchain then it will be hard for you to just trust the online wallets and to just depend on keeping your private keys, it is best for you to keep your assets on an offline wallet.

I do not recommend using an online wallet. You need to have a private key, online wallets do not give you a private key. For this reason, you can not take advantage of some opportunities.

With these recent ICO’s going wild you see criminal folks recreating the ICO web site under a different domain and then doing a Denial of Service attack on the official ICO site with the hope it goes down and people send their payment to the rogue site.. This happened this week on an ICO i invested in.. No I didn’t fall for it but some people did.. People if you are buying something be sure you are purchasing it from the correct place FYI..

Hackers steal Bitcoins, by getting hands on Bitcoin wallet’s private keys, or steal Bitcoins from exchanges, that use conventional databases to handle the member’s Bitcoins. Bitcoins cannot be stolen from a secured private key wallet.

I personnaly dont trust anything online, whatever coin I can store on my Hardware wallet I keep it there. Indeed Hardware wallets like Ledger or Trezor are the most easy way to keep your cryptos Safe and no stress. If your BTC are on exchange be sure to activate the google authentificator.

I think that hard wallets are much safer in comparison with other types of wallets which are used often online. i am not sure which one to recommend you as it is better to read the rating in order to avoid hackers

Most bounty hunters and airdrop hunters usually loose their funds through hacks. They fill many forms not doing any checks on the project to know if its legit or not, in turn submit their details such as email addresses, private keys and some go as far as using their email passwords on phishing sites that collects and stores their data.

Please kindly do a background check on the projects you fill online and dont use same passwords for your email and your exchange where u keep your coins.

Final note always activate 2factor-authenticator
This is sad and I have seen many investors and bounty hunters lose their money that way, the hackers use mostly social engineering to deceive unsuspecting users about their intentions pretending to be the developers or a respected member of the community and then they get access to many wallets and steal everything from those users, we need to remember that if we lose our coins we are never going to recover them, so must take extreme care of them.

2FA is one of the defensive mechanism of your account, it can bee safer if you use that method, and always think that you are always vulnerable to hackers, you must a plan B in all your works, especially in your wallet, you must have your own security method i maintaining the stronghold of your wallet from hackers, hackers now a days are really smart and they can get your information in the web in an instant.
2FA is a great way to protect your coins but many people are too lazy to implement that solution and if you lose your coins because of laziness then you have no excuse, people need to understand that the market of cryptocurrencies is very dangerous, you do not know who is at the other side of the screen and while there are many good people here there are also many scammers trying to deceive you.

This topic is critically important, however most of us I believe are too lazy to take time needed to protect their funds from hackers, and whet it comes to the point, where they get hacked, they start to regret.
