what about fees ithink this not going to help em if im not wrong
If bitcoin would be used as a form of currency in direct transaction it might need to fix its system on accepting and implementing fee because it might be a big hindrance for people to choose bitcoin as a mode of their transaction so it could be better for developers to first initiate an improvement for fee systems.

I'm a KFC loyal customer, almost every day I order food from KFC and is good news if KFC immediately accept bitcoin for payment so I do not need to use cash or bank transfer.

As I can see , it's really help people for who want to do alternate transaction beside fiat, cards, etc
Unfortunately, my government still not agree with bitcoin because btc can be use for money laundry that encourage our people to do corruption, our primary problem that my government still fighting with !

Seem it's only in Canada, it's only a temporary offer and only if you pay online via BitPay : https://www.coindesk.com/kfc-canada-is-accepting-bitcoin-for-fried-chicken/

It's a triple win situation for them : you pay the food (they make their profits), if the BTC rise higher it's like if you have bought 2, 3 or more buckets AND they have free ads online by people speaking about them. They can hardly loose anything, even if BTC totally crash they still can see that as a paiement for the advertising.

How? Fiat money is a better payment for all things and it's flexibility in all transactions are better than bitcoin. And if you use bitcoin in transaction there are fees which is expensive that even Steam stopped supporting bitcoin as a payment.

It would have being great if they accepted a couple of years back, but at this stage they have to give me a monthly voucher with a one time bitcoin transaction to counter the high transaction fees, the people who can enjoy this benefit is by the people who mined a lot of coins during the early stages or people who wanted to attract attention .

It is not practical you would be paying a price of a buffet even if you have only ordered a single fried chicken. They should change the currency they are using or else it will be useless.

I have just read that the promotional campaign is for the time being temporary and is available only through the KFC website for online orders. The company is also considering the possibility of adding other cryptocurrencies to the promotion. And that's good news.

It's quite interesting to see that more and more companies are willing to accept Bitcoin? Is it because of huge potential profit? Many people around the world use Bitcoin. I wouldn't be surprised if some people started to use it after we introduce Lightning Network which will make transactions faster and cheaper. I have also heard that McDonald's is also thinking of accepting Bitcoin. I can't wait to see which company will be faster in implementing it in every country. It may be difficult due to legal issues.

For me, It is a very bad idea due to rapid change in bitcoins price every hour it makes me feel regretful spending this amount of bitcoin for a food that will soon grow into a much higher value. It will also make a seasonal time for someone to eat in KFC, because most of them will try to eat there whenever the bitcoins price drops.

You should specify  mate because upon reading, it clearly states that it is as of now only available in canada. Why is it very important to be specific? So that other people from the different side of the world would not expect. I love eating in KFC and this kind of news can really make me feel happy. Knowing the fact that i can still it there even if i dont have cash. However knowing also that this is not yet available in my place can boils down the excitement

FIAT is backed by gold, but Bitcoin is backed by fried chicken.

funny but you got it slightly wrong.. Fiat is backed by gold which is back by the belief that it is a valuable piece of metal. a Fried Chicken company now accepts Bitcoin because it beliefs that it has value because of the people that use and believe in it. It's all about human belief.

I really like KFC. but, I think even if they accept bitcoin, I will not use bitcoin to buy the product. well, but it might improve the quality of bitcoin. because KFC is one of the best companies in the world.

I'm not sure if this is legit real news or not but this is totally not the best time to roll out bitcoin as a method of payment to the public.
I guess you already know that a lot of services which are popular and used to accept btc (having steam in mind) stopped accepting bitcoin recently.

And that's not because of any trouble with the law or the authorities but simple because the fees have gone crazy. Crazy is considered an old inaccurate word now. They're insanely unacceptable making any form of micropayments absolutely a nightmare. As much as I love crypto generally and BTC specifically, the fees issue has to be solved sooner or later.

A few months ago, I used to look for stuff that I can spend my btc on. Now, I try to avoid it in every possible way. I use ETH or LTC for most of my transactions now where my capital is of course still in BTC. Some people told me to use BCH but I don't buy that scammy shite. LN is becoming more or of a reality than it seemed to be last year so I have a strong feeling it'll be available to the public soon (Q2 2018). That's the time everything goes back to how it should.
