I still remember when I started with cryptocurrency mining. My laptop was pretty fucked up, so I actually used the desktop at my office for mining. Initially tried mining Bitcoin (in early 2013), but gave up due to very low returns. Then I tried mining Litecoin and was earning around 0.1 LTC per day. However, after a few days I gave up, because I was afraid that the guys at office will find it out and fire me from my job. Anyway, congratulations to these kids. I read that they have 94 mining rigs. So even at $32,000 per month, it will take a while to break even.

Wow I can't even remember what I did when I was 14... but certainly not THIS! 
Times have changed. Nowadays kids are spending most of their time on laptop and mobile phone, with hardly any outdoor activity. Even in my country (which is mostly rural), the participation in sports have gone down in recent years. The COVID 19 pandemic has accelerated this shift, as for the last 18 months or so, all essential travel is being avoided. And in this case, the kids were from a well to do background and they could afford to spend some money on mining equipment (although they started off with a second hand computer).

If you read on the news source, it clearly told us that those kids are supported and helped by their parents to build the mining place. They used an old gaming computer to be the place for mining. Of course, their parents build it, especially his father. 9 and 14 years old kids still don't have enough knowledge to build a mining set.

Lol you really think it's the kids that are doing those mining and building those farms? You really think a 9 years old kid would understand how things work and how to maintain those farm? I am pretty much sure its the Dad doing all those work and just using their kids to gain some attention and to be on the spotlight like most people are doing nowadays. You don't need to be gifted to earn this much. If you read the article, they learn via Youtube. So in this age, you can basically learn something via internet search. And they just use that knowledge to materialize their plans in actual scenario. At their age and earning this much, their future is already bright. Now, it is up to them how they will use it to further advance their knowledge or studies.

Sometimes age can be a problem, a too-young kid probably has difficulty choosing the right coin. It is not easy to choose which coin deserves to buy or to mine. This is good news and easily shows that luck and analytical mind can add up to good profits. However, I do not quite understand what will happen next, if everything is still not worth the price of manual labor, why do it at the factory, something if you can just invest and get rich.

It is all about the potential of the chosen coin, the age factor shouldn't be a problem. Trading is alike game, kids have a better understanding of markets in this case. Obviously, the more you read,research the markets the more you will be informed especially for the young generation.

Nowadays, kids are smarter than old generations so they will keep tracking the technological updates better than us. I am not surprised when the wunderkinds gonna mine the coins with the investing in graphics card. The video card boom was expected and kids should prefer mining to play computer games, IMHO.

They started mining Ethereum this march with their gaming computer and they were able to mine Ethereum and made enough money to set up a huge farm in a short period of time.
