Here is a tip that could prevent others from getting into trouble when asking questions that are answere fairly frequently.

Run a site specific Google search - for example - site:bitcointalk.org "account sales"

This throws up all the historic information.

Sorry, but the feedback stays.  I will try to be fair with the negatives, especially if someone has gained positive trust over an extended period of time...but I don't plan on removing much feedback that I've left.  If I did that, there would be no point in leaving it in the first place.

Don't PM me about this--you can do it if you like, but set your expectations of a reply as low as the settings will allow so that you're not disappointed.

This forum has gone so far overboard with scamming, account dealing, farming, and garbage posting.  I'm trying to do my part in improving it, but it's not going to be a soft-and-fluffy pillow session for people who are engaged in the aforementioned activities.  And you all know who you are.

The body of the message clearly stated that I was inquiring if it was legit or against forum rules. After finding out it was not okay, I did not pursue it anymore.

I'll assume this is true.

It does not change anything.  If you even questioned buying an account, that could make someone distrust that you actually might.

It's like a person asking if having sex with a 13 year old is OK.  Once they find out it is illegal they may not pursue it, but people are still going to look at the person as untrustworthy around their children.  :/

It should not stop you from doing any business in the forum non related to account sales.
Vod, you make a valid point about making up with a under age child. However, please bear in mind that I was NEW and did not even understand at that time that how blockchain worked, keep apart how this forum functioned. If someone looks at my other psots made near the time when I made this particularp ost for which I am being given neg trust, these posts were like asking simple question such as,"where can i learn about technical analysis and how to make paper wallets".

but if members are going to get neg trust tagged just for asking questions, this is too harsh I think.
You didn't JUST ask a question. You intended to buy an account.

I want to buy a Sr. Member or Hero Member account.
I don't see any benevolent reason that you could have for buying an account. If you would like to refute my claim then you may feel free to do so, but be aware that I already have many preconceived notions about people who are involved in account sales (or conspiracy to enact in account sales).

I know that the mods here including Lauda and The Pharmacist are doing a commendable job trying to keep this place clean and secure
They're not mods.

Perhaps you should learn about the forum first. Maybe that would have saved you from being tagged. Wink
if you take out a minute an read my query, I had clearly asked if it was legit or not, as I did not want to go against the forum rules. The subject was "I want to buy...." as one can not put all the content in there. The body of the message clearly stated that I was inquiring if it was legit or against forum rules. After finding out it was not okay, I did not pursue it anymore. So it ends there only.

Read their comment on your trust page carefully, they meant your action could encourage spam, scam, account farming or untrustworthy behavior. It's a bit too much, but i agree with their decision to prevent spam/scam in this forum.
Also, most people won't mind your negative trust if you only got it because ask about bought account and even me don't believe trust feedback unless it has valid reason.
Thank You! At last someone who actually makes some sense to all this and did not come all guns blazing at me. It is just frustrating to get neg trust tagged when you did not intend to do anything wrong. I am on the same page with you guys that scammers and spammers of all sorts should be punished, but if members are going to get neg trust tagged just for asking questions, this is too harsh I think. I know that the mods here including Lauda and The Pharmacist are doing a commendable job trying to keep this place clean and secure, but sometimes in the short span of time they can also make hasty decisions. I believe this is one of those scenarios. I just hope that there is some way that I can convince them to remove the neg trust from my profile.

Even if it was way back in September a person doing account sales will never stop it unless they are punished for it. This lack of discipline in the people is what makes them think of doing such illegal stuff whatsoever be the reason for it.

Account sales are going on in this forum and elsewhere but it only leads to scammers and shitposters farming them for joining signature campaigns. Do I need to explain more? Your trust rating will remain and I will add my rating to it since its you popped up at the wrong time when I am looking through the "meta" board.

I know you will be back with a new account. Dont worry we will hunt you down.
Is that just not abuse of power? I mean there is no proof that I have been indulged in any kind of scamming or account sales for Christ's sake! And since you highlighted,"a person doing account sales in september", I would like to point out here that I only asked about it, never did anything. From your reply it looks like that you guys just teaming up against members here who ask questions so as to discourage others to do so. I am truly disappointed.
I will surely wait for your response here.

Hi Guys, I am writing here since I have written to you both individually but did not hear back. You both have given me negative trust because you suspect me being a scammer only because I asked here at bitcointalk that if buying account was legit or not? Since when does asking about something makes us scammers? This was a genuine inquiry from me when I was new here. Once I was told by fellow members that it is not such a good idea, I did not pursue this topic again. Please check my posts, none of them are one liners and are as good as if not better than what most other members make. I feel frustrated and helpless because I am not at any mistake here or did not have any bad intentions when I asked that question, which was btw way back in September! I am hopeful that this can be resolved.
