depending on what coin you hold, if you hold a good coin, of course it will be very interesting to wait, but for me long-term investment does not look at all tokens, of course I will filter from some good coins for long-term investment, like DOGE, this coin is worth investing in for a long time.
This again depends on everyone's perception because I think Dogecoin is still more suitable for the not too long term, or in other words is the medium term, apart from memecoin, which is clear Dogecoin is still not suitable for long-term investment.
Among the many meme coins, for me Dogecoin is superior and worth buying with the consideration of selling it immediately when it looks like a profit from the price when we bought it. one way to make a profit on a coin like Dogecoin is to make a large number of transactions.
Yes I agree with that because there aren't many meme coins that are really good,
Dogecoin and Shiba inu are two meme coins that are above on CMC,
but holding meme coins is also not a good choice and tends to be risky
depending on the person who has the two types of coin memes how they make their decision. good talk or not, for us both of them do not have a good future even though there are figures behind Dogecoin or Shiba Inu.

Here’s the thing, no one gonna know which market correction could further evolves and become bearish market and which bearish market gonna lasts years, months or days.
That’s also the reason why many of the traders, despite having really good market analyzation, couldn't make consistent profit and acts accordingly with the market condition.
Your short term holding that was initially your idea could easily become long term holding if the market decides there’s some signficant market movements.
Your strategy may works but always remember in market full of uncertainty you should adapt and overcomes. At least you can try to use some TA that already published by some expert traders and you can try to take it as your reference to trade

I think as long as we can make a profit then there is no right time to determine when to sell or buy. But what needs to be underlined here is that the crypto market that is going down is indeed good to buy as much crypto as possible and hold it until it feels like the price is enough. Many people are impatient in holding their crypto so they keep selling it at a low price and suffer losses. So the strategy that we take is also very influential on the profits we will get. As long as we can manage and store it properly then I think it will be profitable.

It's actually not that hard to make a profit from investing in crypto. The most important thing is that we can choose potential coins, after that
we just need to wait patiently until the price target we want is achieved. Or the price goes up to higher than the price when we bought it,
the problem is that most people who invest in crypto are less patient. They want instant profit, where people who expect instant profit will only
experience losses. Because to successfully invest in crypto, the most effective strategy is to control our emotions by being patient and not selling
the coins we have at low prices. I believe everyone can make a profit in crypto if they can be more patient holding the coins they have bought.
Sometimes it doesn't matter if we buy coins at any price, as long as we choose potential coins, because the price of these coins will continue
to rise every year. So if we can be patient holding these coins in the long term, the possibility we can generate large profits.

Well here from me is a real experience when I attempted to trade. I learned some trading tools in Binance back then through some simple tutorials in Youtube.....err of course it didn't went a planned. Sold too early even if Bollinger Band and RSI kind of helped me out but still it was still all loss.
I went back to hodling since then. Never going back again...maybe? Roll Eyes

HODL is considered a strategy that tends to avoid short-term price fluctuations.
Beginner traders either lose money or make less profit than when they hold their coins.
when you can't buy at the current price and are still stuck at a relatively higher price then there's no harm in doing hodling because indeed this is one of the necessities when the coin being held is a coin that has potential there.
on the other hand it is also very good to practice our patience, especially for beginners who incidentally are still passionate about trading Cheesy
Hodling for long term may even bring out the best profits as long as we are into hodling established and coins with high utility and use cases. But of course, it won't be profitable enough if we are not that patient and has positive mindset. So there's nothing wrong if we only chose to hodl rather than sell it in a price that won't satisfy us. I believe we have the right to do what will be the best for us and for our assets, and its our coins so we should be more capable how to make them profitable.
Yeah, patience is always the key to success but somehow, people had made it difficult and can't control themselves which makes them decide to sell especially when they saw market declines. Emotion is the biggest enemy when it comes to holding, the majority got in trouble with this and it cause major losses for them.
If we can manage to handle/change this, everything will be alright, I think. Yes, it was very challenging but if we are committed to changing our mindset and keeping into positive, that would be easy.
Yes, without patience, you can never sustain from long term hodling. And even if you go into short term trading, without patience to understand the market, you will still fail and end up losing. So its always the best virtue not just in crypto alone but in all aspects of business industries.

However, if you can manage not to hodl for long term because you are more capable in short term, that will be a good strategy too as long as you know and is more capable how to make your profits consistently.

The main problem is that whoever has information about the remnants or lone whales wins this game. Being close to such sensations when they turn into reversals, and when they can be played both at the turn and at the end. Those who have this information always win. Anam stay only to keep the coins and guess the signals.

It really is up to an individual and how the way he looks at the market.

I don't mind holding long term I have tried it since 2016 but when it started plummeting in early 2018, I also dump my coins. Two years I think is a very long time for a coin holder to just keep the coins in the wallet. That's when I learn I think short-term hold is a lot better for I can find ways and increase the coins I am holding by accumulating than just waiting for the value to go up to its ATH.
Everyone has what works for them, there are some people who would prefer to wait and when the market starts showing signs of being bullish, then you would see them start investing. While there are those who prefer to plan ahead of time, and start investing in the market as early as possible when the market is very low, they can then decide to hold it till the next bull run takes place.

Although this is usually not easy; to invest ahead of time and wait for a long. For the market to go up requires a lot of patience. And not everyone has the level of patience to invest and hold it for years, possibly three to five years, without seeing any reasonable increase in the market.

I don't know about you but for me I will only hold coins for long term if we see a unforgiving bear market ( better buying opportunity ), I believe bear market hold the key to long term holding, I can't buy coins at high price sorry ( present market is buying at high price) and decide to hold for years, I will only buy now to sell later ( short term ).. stupid idea? Let's hear your thoughts
The bearish times are always the best for anyone that wants to buy a huge amount of coins and store them for a long time. For some people, they are usually fond of waiting till when the market starts becoming bullish, and you will see them rushing to invest in the market to avoid missing out on the bullish trend. Which is pretty bad, because you should only be investing in the market at times like this when it is low, and then you can wait for the bull run to take place and make better profit without having to go through all the rush.

Anyways it’s all about choice and also your condition at the moment, because not everyone really is in a good position to invest at some point , so some things has to be put into consideration and if it really suits you to invest now, then you can go ahead.

Holding may turn out to be a necessary measure for a trader in case of an unsuccessful choice of the moment for buying. For a beginner, this will be the best choice in trading strategy until he gains enough experience.

When you buy the all time high of a particular coin and you fail to do a simple price research and to properly evaluate the project in order to come to a reasonable price valuation, then you will have yourself to blame for such negligence. Holding long term is the key to wealth., short term flipping only give negligible profit and at best losses!

That is the point at which I learn I think transient hold is much better for I can observe ways and increment the coins I am holding by collecting than simply trusting that the worth will go up to its ATH. Uncommonly for the people who are truly on the lookout for some numerous years and have sufficient experience and mental sturdiness to hold for a significant length of time.

When to buy? During the dip or corrections.
When to hold? During the dip or corrections.

We just ended up holding our coins all the time. That is not the thing we look for. If there is someone who has the eyes to look at the exact time to buy, he is special but there is none. And the market itself remains unpredictable no matter what we do, even manipulations will fail to tell.

it just a matter of time before we can decide when to buy and when to hold, that is our own decision and nobody could give you that favor.

Well, its good that you have the patience to wait for the bear market to happen and when it happens then it would be a perfect opportunity for you to shop coins because they're cheaper already.
Its easy to say but TBH, there are and there will always be investors who will still buy at the top because they are expecting that they will still get profits when it go higher. There are times that investors are still buying at the top because of their emotions which is very bad when you are investing. As an intelligent investor, you shouldn't use your emotions to invest.

Intelligent investors are buying when the blood is all around. Newbie investors are buying when people are excited, when people are very greedy, when people are in euphoria and when people are very optimistic. Be a contrarian. Buying at the bottom would be better compare to buying at near peak. After buying at near bottom just hold Smiley.

I think the current market situation there should save funds for the future bear market because most of the signals showing will be bear market and that time will be good for buy of altcoins, holding depends on investors holding power, some hold a long time some short time but hold always good altcoins.

supportive market conditions such as today, many coins are going down, even bitcoin is going down. This is a great opportunity to buy alcoins such as eth coins and bnb coins, maybe in the middle or end of the year, the price of alcoins will increase even more.

Not that stupid at all but the question is if you are in buying or selling at a good price or not? It sometimes happens that some people sold their coins at cheaper price than the buying price ( that seems stupid and a wrong decision).
It can be in different situations where people had made their decisions, it is sometimes wrong and sometimes right. Well, nobody cares as it was their life and money but because we value their effort and the support into crypto, we give sympathy for their losses due to wrong market decision and we hope they could make it right the next day.
