is it safe to assume that once the Android wallet is out, we can see trading volumes similar to that of Bitstake ?

I think nobody can tell that.
The android wallet is now the bottleneck for further grow of kobo.

Just what I say in my post before: when there are no phone wallets you can't make micropayments on markets etc.

I think we'll that the android wallet gives more value to the coin.

But if we see the same trade volume like bitstake is no guarantee. Nothing I'm crypto is a guarantee guarantee.

Looks like there was a flurry of trading since the delisting notice. Thanks for the support!

UPDATE:
We have our 8GB Server configured and I am now securing the platform. The issue with coin denomination still exists but once the platform is secured it will get 100% of my time.
mabe darkslash was correct this coin just isnt interesting enough nice try though

This coin is only 2 months old. What do people expect. That whole Africa use is already.

Tribesman is a dedicated dev who puts time and effort in this coin.
I think he has soon the android wallet ready and that's in my opinion just the beginning.
Whiteout phone wallets you can't simply not make micropayments on markets etc.

This coin is not interesting enough for pump and dump. That is true.
This coin is interesting enough as a investment. For long-term.

The most people hold kobocoin because we have a developer here who not left his project and keep the community continue updated about what what's the current status.
I and I think some more people trade and hold kobo because of that.

I can say this coin is interesting enough to buy. Especially at these prices.

Dunno why but cheap kobo on trex for who wants more.

Yeah, just noticed that.

Not the best method of getting the volume up, selling low when we've been holding 200+ for a while, but hey who can figure the 'minds' of the idiots who trade like that Sad

Everybody has his own reasons and rules to dump coins on the market.

When the android wallet is ready kobo can straight forward in price and development.

See this as an opportunity to get some more cheap coins. Soon we will see these prices never again.

Dump till 44sat
weird reasons

10000 KOBO at current price is only around $4 ... was not thinking of 35000 phones.. maybe initial batch of 1000 phones comes with pre-loaded 10,000, the slide it down to 5,000 for the next 1000 batch etc.. it promotes KOBO & also expands the user base... maybe peg it to a fixed $4 worth of KOBO... . just a suggestion to KOBo's marketing group.

another suggestion: co-branding of cheap China-made Android phones with Kobo... phones come pre-installed with the Kobo Android wallet, preloaded with maybe 10000 Kobo.

Think you should use a calculator before making suggestions like that - 35,000 phones=entire Kobo supply Sad

MAYBE 100 Kobo pre-loaded. Prob less as Kobo will be worth $10 each by end of decade.

So have these poor regions switched to the use of fancy hi tech phones? What about integrating Kobocoin in an sms application, so the millions of old nokia/samsung/whateveroldphone could also use it.

  • What has the biggest market share in the mobile space in Western Africa? (i.e. Android, iPhone etc)
  • Will Kobocoin target super cheap phones (i.e. the recent Nokia phone that is $37 and can use the internet?) as well as a wide variety of android devices (i.e. wide adoption)?
  • What solution will Kobocoin be implementing to help mobile users? Will you be submitting the coin to preexisting, free wallets such as Coinomi on Android?
Hi, we're not really differentiating between Operating Systems. There's already a wallet developed for Symbian (another coin) so it can be done. At this moment we want to get Android and iOS out (Android this week, hopefully iOS by the end of the month). If a Symbian wallet is also required, then it will be developed. Same for BlackBerryOS.

We'd like to get kobocoins onto as many services and platforms as possible. There are many options, but right now the priority is getting kobocoin onto the exchanges.

Hi! I think Symbian OS is not required, because it is a very old OP system, also Blackberry OS would be very good. (10.x)
Or a sms wallet and payment service? then it can be used on every phone.
vericoin has something similar http://text.vericoin.info/

Yea, actually those lower tech phones are more in use at the moment... but things are expanding slowly.

thank you for the list!
if we all adopt a wait-and-see attitude , and not trade until 24th to see if it will be delisted,   it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy..  be proactive, buy and keep the kobocoin alive.. what's 0.2 btc? it's around $44 only.. 4.4/each if at least 10 people trade per day... skip that expensive coffee & buy kobo instead
