Hi galaxiekyl I sincerely hope that this was already resolved months ago, but if you're still having an issue please drop by our Bitcointalk thread.

From what I understood their engine is outdated.

this is the real problem of kraken
old BAD & UGLY architecture

and people go crazy with this lag/delay for placing orders for trading

An update on the trading engine happened in January and things have been running much more smoothly ever since. If you were having issues with Kraken before we'd suggest you try us out again at https:www.kraken.com.

Also, check out our new trading interface at trade.kraken.com!

If you need anything else please drop by our Bitcointalk thread.

Its not just now. Its since months unusable. Surprising they still have high trading volume.

Doesn't Kraken have APIs? Because it may be the reason since I have no idea how people are placing orders when it takes 4 hours and countless F5 to do something.
I agree it's not something new on Kraken and the lack of communication from them is not helping either.

From what I understood their engine is outdated. Last week while searching, I found a post from them on Reddit posting a link to what looked like a beta version supposed to be released the first week of this month (something like beta.kraken.com).

Kraken is a legitimate exchange but their service delivery standards are questionable. You have here an exchange with an unstable trading platform, often down and unusable. Exchanges process enormous amounts of money and the platforms they offer their users are a critical tool in processing such trades. They must be stable and should withstand outages (I'm sure Wall Street has plans A, B, C, D, E etc in case of any kind of system failure). System errors and security issues erode user confidence and trust.

For those experiencing problems accessing the site, the options are to either wait it out (and check later if the site is up and running again) or to turn to Kraken's facebook and twitter accounts and to ask them to intervene. Bitcoin is volatile, we all know this, so any kind of instability in a trading platform is unacceptable.

I hope it's just temporary. I just checked and I get the same error. The error is with the host (Kraken) and not with cloudflare or my device.

In my limited experience with them: they are not scammers. However their site is always down, the customer service is slow and awkward. I dont recommend them at all and dont ever see myself using my account there. Not impressed - yes. Scam: I dont think so

People just panic and are too quick to call services a scam as soon as they don't work as efficiently as they like. My coins got credited after about ten confirmations and I managed to sell my coins after a few attempts and initiate a bank withdrawal so I guess people just need a little patience and to keep trying.
I agree with you. Although, I never use Kraken before and the exchange I usually use is coinbase. But, I support what you said because almost every bitcoin exchange are going through a lot this days.

It a fact that Kraken website is always almost unusable. They are not scammers and I trust them almost 100%. But their slow website, with jquerys not loading in time,
seems to be 50% cloudflared and 50% not loading well.
Its hard to trade if you dont see if the exchange accepted your order or not. Several times i bought coins there but saw the order accepted after 10min, not before.
Meanwhile I bought them at finex too....
Kraken should have earned tons of funds to buy a cluster of superhighperformance computer to avoid that shit.

For me Kraken is the quickest when it comes to SEPA deposit, (funds available after 1 day).
However holy god, their trading platform is sluggish, unresponsive and slow. Sometimes I wonder if they are under DDOS's all the fucking time.

I doubt it's a ddos but likely rather down to all the heavy traffic from new and old users trying to buy and sell desperately. On a related note, my deposit was credited earlier and I managed to make a trade and initiate a withdrawal so I guess people just need some patience and keep trying (though obviously the more you try the bigger strain you put on their site as well so it's often likely counterproductive).

I can relate, but the only time I managed to initiate an order on first try, were like 3 months ago.
Since that time, their exchange have been a big mess for me.
I hope they in the near future can fix their back-end systems.

Not sure, if it is high traffic or not, they have been like that for months.
And similar answers from support:  "We have been experiencing an issue with our xxxxxxxxxxx . Our developers are aware of the issue and are working towards a solution".

And to OP, you are just spreading FUD.

Yes, extremely slow but after switching to bittrex, look where I'm now. I can't fucking withdraw anything from there because they can't solve tickets. They have hundreds of thousands of tickets, it really seems that all exchanges have absolutely crappy support teams.

The only exchange I have "full confidence" in is GDAX, is a pity that they don't support more cryptocurrencies.

And, did they scam your money?
Maybe you should write also, if they gave it back to you.

In that case, its not a scam.
Every company has the right to select the customers they want.

Actually I am not paid by kraken, but my experience with them is the best.
I had a businessaccount with Kraken and bought a sum of more than 1mio Euro.
In my private account I am not as high but still remarkable.
I know customers at kraken, buying/selling more than 1Mio Eur a month!!"
No complaints.

Also my account had been blocked once but also opened fast again.

Compared to other exchanges support is average but not slow/ignoring/scamming.

Somehow I got the feeling, we dont know the whole story of OP...

...and if he behaves like he does here, I would also kick him out of my office...

...there are reasons why they dont let him using his account, and if they refuse they ALWAYS pay back. Thats my experience and that of a bunch of other traders...

I wouldn't call them scammers, atm, I simply rate them very unprofessional, and their customer service extremely poor.
I've been on T2 for nearly 2 months, trading within the Tier's limits.
I've made 6 deposits with no issues, however, the 7th deposit has been put on hold for no apparent reason.
Although I did not exceed T2's limits, I immediately applied for T3 verification.
I also sent them 2 emails (through their online "support" system).

As of now, it has been more than 4 days since the money has been put on hold in my Kraken account.
No one has replied my messages to their "support" centre.

I'm not saying they are after my money, but when they are effectively denying access to my own funds, without any reason and on top of that fail to make contact/reply for almost a week since - it is beyond frustrating.

Not to mention that yesterday was a perfect day to buy. And due to Kraken's poor poor service, I missed a really nice opportunity.

Shame on you Kraken.

yes you have alright..after 4 days i submit all form as they ask me..now they are closed my account without reasons available..really i dont understand their problem..it is really bad exchange i think they doesn't want you do good deal.

they are unprofessional and bad com..they treat their customers as criminal..i never see that..same bank doesn't work like this.

I regret to have placed my money at them..Otherwise i will have done good deal the last days..what they have do is unforgivable..they have made me lost several time and money.
