I'm agree with you that benitez wasn't doing a good work, and need to be sacked. But i remember that Florentino sacked one of the best managers that Madrid had, i never understood why he kicked Del Bosque, that was doing a very good work.

The problem of Real Madrid aren't the managers, its its president. When there is a problem, he changes the manager, Madrid had a lot of managers in the last 10 years. Sometimes they didn't have enough time to know its team. And good luck to Zidane, he was a good player, now he has to prove that he can manage a big team. On the last time we have seen players that became good managers (Simeone, Guardiola, Luis Enrique).

Try to think it in a bigger mindset, he is a good midfielder of his era and known as the best player around when he was still playing so he should be able to do better than benitez for sure. Most of the great coach was a midfielder before when they were still playing, diego simeone and pep guardiola is one of them

It's not about point difference but how they play. Their game play is not good enough for Real Madrid, their squad can do better than this. They wouldn't give any hope for achievements, that's why they sack Rafa. Let's see what Zidane can do in his rookie year.

you should read the standings again, http://www.flashscore.com/soccer/spain/primera-division/standings/

should be 2 points behind barca, and barca only played 17 rounds, RM played one more round but still 2 points left behind. so i consider Barca has 5 more points than RM. imo it is very necessary to sack benitez, he is a fool coach actually.

if you watch the match against Valencia, he didn't use james and isco, didn't give them chance even for substitute. He only used one substitute chance but he has 3. And the worst thing is that he used danilo for lineup who is a shitty player. He must go home, I support Perez's decision.

yes, perez should not fire ancelotti last season, what a pity! He should keep him, benitez sucks and couldn't handle the issues between ISCO & James, Danilo is the worst player i have seen, but i see he is in the lineup, imo he should be a substitute! He doesn't have ability to be the player in RM.

Read about it. Really, its was about time. Zinédine Zidane is a real live club legend so I guess it will motivate at least a little most of the players and the Centrall 7 Doll.

Zidane was a quality player and legend for real but this is his first job. It will be interesting to see if he can pull of a pep guardiola style entrance to world management. Very tough job though he basically has to win the league and nearly win or win the champions league every year to keep his job. I give him 1-2 years at best.

I hope Zidane will perform well because I loved him as a player! He's been ,together with Ronaldo Luis Nazario da Lima, the best player of the 2000. He was the prototype of a modern player: fast, creative, strong and skilled.

Now he's managing Madrid: I hope he has the same skills he used to have as player. He learnt from Ancelotti so he should know a bit.

This is the right things to do, benitez is really stupid to waste their chance to get 3 points while barcelona only gets 1. It is about time as well for the club legends to take over the club since he has the ability already to coach the team, he has studied for years as coach assistant

The problem is, zidane not ready yet to mange a big club like real madrid , his experience to manage a club is very few.
His career on managing club started in 2013 ago and its as assistant manager of real Madrid with ancelotti , then managing real madrid castilla in 2014-2016.
And today takeover real Madrid senior team. It wouldn't work. They may replaced him soon.

i will support your claim he will need more experience in this to take the team, yes he is legend in football world but he need experience in coaching

If I was Florentino Perez I prefer choose Claudio ranieri as permanent coach then.
Zidane as caretaker its ok but not for as permanent coach not in the near future as he need more experience how to manage a team like real Madrid in tight competition.
