Feel for Xavi. His hands are bound. The club is broke, therefore he cant sign big players to compete. No recipe for success, in my opinion. His back-and-forth about leaving may be a power move to get the board to relax the purse strings. This is a risk, and Im not convinced it will pay off.
Xavi really gained valuable experience as Barcelona coach, but he is a successful coach for other teams to consider in the future. I think Xavi will stay, but Barcelona's financial situation makes it difficult for him to develop, let alone expect his team to compete fiercely in the domestic league and Europe. Last season he was able to bring great success to Barcelona, but this season he failed to maintain it even though he still has a big chance in the Champions League.
I like Yamal and Lopez - great potential. However, academy players alone cannot win a title. You need battle-tested leaders. Barca must solve the money problem or adapt their play. The leader requires a smart plan, a deal-making mind, and the ability to work with what they have. Xavi and others are under pressure in this difficult circumstance.
Lamine Yamal, Fermin Lopez, Alejandro Balde, Gavi, Cubarsi are some of Barcelona's good talented players so far. Xavi really puts a lot of trust in these young players, but they are not experienced enough even though they can still follow instructions as expected. Barcelona needs a lot of experienced players in their squad, but their financial condition doesn't really allow it.
Some loan players such as Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo hope that Barcelona can buy him permanently, but this is very difficult to come true because Barcelona's finances are very bad. Barcelona is only very likely to apply for additional loans, but may also sign them on a free transfer.
