I don't think top 4 is possible if they don't plan to overtake Girona because right now, Atletico club are closer to Atletico Madrid than A. Madrid is closer to Girona. If you want to win a place in the top 4, your aim shouldn't be trying to maintain your place but to over take people so that you can have confidence in your position. If for instance now Atletico club win their next match and Atletico Madrid lose their next one and Girona win their next one as well, then Atletico Madrid will be kick out of the top 4.

Roght now, even Girona are not playing to give the second place to Barcelona, they may have fumble along the like but don't deserve to fining in third place because it will be a shame for a team that top the table from beginning of the season only to be push down by others.
